Well, I'm glad to hear that some people are seeing improvement with their delivery times.
It's been 3 weeks since I had a movie or game and I'm still waiting...

I hadn't seen advertisement on TV until just now. It was on CNNFN. It was well done, looked very good and I was impressed. Love to see more like that. Anyone else see it or any ads recently.

I don't know if this might help, but how many movies or games do you have in your queue? I have about 8 total at all times. When I send a movie or game back it will send the next Available one in my queue. It may not be number one or two but I get one right away.

Sidenote: So far, I have always received the next one in my queue.

I agree. I think this will be a great service soon. New companys take time to get organized and even with blockbuster we still offer what no other service does. Games and movies for one price. Once the subscription numbers increase so will our pps.

If the chart follow the last two runs, then this will slowly rise over the next week then run quickly. Usely see the big run when the RSI crosses 50. MACD usely crosses the first time before the run one week prior and that was yesterday. Just an observation on this stock. I follow this one closely. Been here since March.

Ric!

Hope you're right on that observation. We could use a run on this thing!

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Already having missed profit expectations in the second quarter as costs rose in an increasingly competitive market, Netflix now may need to drop prices to keep the customers it has.

Blockbuster (BBI: news, chart, profile), which is testing a similar DVD-rental service, appears to be luring consumers with a promotion that is more aggressively priced than current Netflix (NFLX: news, chart, profile) rates.

Blockbuster's rival offering is priced at $19.99 a month, according to its Web site. But anyone signing up for Blockbuster will receive a notice offering an even steeper discount. The promotional membership includes a three-month special at $17.99 for unlimited movies plus two coupons for free in-store rentals. Blockbuster is also offering a six-month special for $15.99 per month for unlimited movies plus two coupons per month for free in-store movie rentals.

Los Gatos, Calif.-based Netflix now charges $21.99 per month.

In response to this report, Netflix said it doesn't have any plans to change its prices. "Growth forecasts for the end of the year remain strong with more than 150 percent net-income growth (at the mid-range of guidance, 168 percent to be precise)," said a Netflix spokesperson, in an e-mail.

Shares of Netflix fell 8 percent to $17.69 in recent trading. Blockbuster shares were down 10 cents at $13.16.

Blockbuster is controlled by Viacom, a significant shareholder in MarketWatch.com, the publisher of this report.

I have been following this stock pretty closely lately since I jumped in at .061. I just about know it is getting ready to make another nice run. Reason number 1: Nite stayed on the bid for days gathering up as many shares as he could. 2: There has been anywhere from 6-8 MMs at .06 on the bid for days also, showing strong support there. 3: A hammer candle formed today (wish the handle would have been longer but still a good sign) signaling a trend change. 4: There site is getting better and better, I checked it out again tonight. I feel soon a pr will come out telling the site is 100% opereational and working great. That should cause a nice run. The site not being fully operational is in my opinion why the pps is where it is now. Anyhow watch it drop to penny after me saying this, could be wrong but I believe I am right. Hope so anyways...As always good luck...

Brandon

I think you're right Brandon. Another reason we're down is Netflix is being hammered by the BlockBuster news.

All we have to do is show ant signs of life & we move higher. I'm set with this stock byt will accumulate while it's in this range.

The reason the stock dropped IMO is because the site is still not functioning correctly, they are making no effort to fix it. They are still pumping out advertising with a non working site. This will cause many users to stop before or shortly after the trial. If they get the site fixed, and release a pr, I see this stock going up to where it should be.

NO thats not true, Why is tfct and other good penny stocks down then. Don't just bash without taking a look at the market. That was just a stupid statement. The market is DOWN. The market is scared because of the last economic numbers and the feds might raise rates next week.

Now today it formed a beautiful hammer candle. I see the mm's did move off their .06 bid down to .055 so it may drop a little before a run...Although Nite is on the bid right now. I know I just need a little patience. Anyhow I suggest getting more shares either now or in the very near future.

What have we here?

http://www.canada.com/technology/columnists/story.html?id=5d13c34b-961d-4bc4-a97b-7ca63a71e322

MARK STACHIEW
The Gazette
August 4, 2004
Q. I saw a television report about a Web site that you can sign up for and the company sends you three DVDs, you watch them, then you send them back. Can you tell me the name of the site?

Q. Video on demand has been a dream for ages, but until home bandwidth increases dramatically, it's still cheaper and easier to physically ship a DVD and its 8 gigabytes of data than it is to download it. Netflix in the U.S. discovered that and created a thriving business renting DVDs by mail.

Netflix isn't operating in Canada yet, although it is rumoured to be eying the Great White North for expansion. Until then, a number of Canadian imitators have popped up to fill the void.

DVDHype (www.dvdhype.com) bills itself as Canada's first online DVD rental store, but it's certainly not alone. Other competitors in the field include Movie For Me (www.moviesforme.ca), Zip (www.zip.ca), VHQ Online (www.vhqonline.ca), DVD Rental (www.dvd-rental.ca), DVDFlix (www.dvdflix.ca), Davada (www.davada.com) and Gamez'n Flix (www.gameznflix.com) which also rents video games.

The services are all similar. You pay a monthly fee of about $20 to $25, select the DVDs you want and the service will mail them to you. Keep them for as long as you want and return them to get more DVDs.

The advantage of these services over your corner video store is that most of them have very large selections of titles. However, there will be times that titles you want to rent are slow in arriving at your door depending on their popularity. As well, the quality of customer service will vary from one company to the next. Since most of them have free trials, your best bet is to take some for a test drive and choose the one you like.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't know we were doing Canada! We've distinguished ourselves up there as well by offering games.

Hi all!, it's been quite a while since I contributed to the Forum. But for what it's worth GZFX is still a good stock to hold on to. At it's current price it is still a good buy for those interested in this market. As in any market be it toys, food, technology etc etc there is always room for competition. Remember the stock has to be sold in order for any type of gain to the company so that they may be better off to sell their product to the market and better their website capabilities. The name of the game is to make money and those who choose (buy) from the bottom skate to the top. This is a pretty good market to be in now. I have been buying and selling penny stocks for awhile and have opted to put in my 2 cents worth of info. Believe me that I am not pushing this stock but I do have a good running record so far (well at least I believe so). The MM's have a lot to do with the market so do not let them scare you off as I once have the privilage of losing money the hard way.
Take care all
Cj

What's the status of the gameznflix website? Is navigating easier? Also, have they improved how long it takes to receive games and movies? I want to sign up because I'm tired of waiting on Netflix to offer games, and I also want to invest if they have fixed some of their issues.

Major Article http://biz.yahoo.com/rc/040810/column_pluggedin_1.html

While most people are at least vaguely familiar with Netflix (NasdaqNM:NFLX - News), whose signature red envelopes bring DVDs by mail to homes and college dormitories across the country in as little as a day, not many realize there are companies doing the same thing for games -- the fastest growing segment of the media.

TWO MAJOR PLAYERS COMPETE
Perhaps the most-recognized name in online game rentals is Los Angeles-based GameFly.com, launched in November 2002. It was started by two former employees of Hollywood talent firm Creative Artists Agency, and is run by David Hodess, a former Walt Disney Co. (NYSE IS - News) executive, who founded Cooking.com

RedOctane's target users tend to be younger than GameFly's, with an average core audience made up of 14- to 25-year-old males.

Those are not the only options, though. There are other services like GPlay (which recently combined with the rentals site TriggerFingers), NumbThumb and GameznFlix (which rents games and movies both) that offer online game rentals.

I think GZFX is the only one to offer both, which puts them in a unique position. Blockbuster doesn't offer a combined movie/game package. GZFX faces a dilemma; the possibility of Netflix including games with their movies. If Netflix starts offering games along with movies before GZFX clears up their website problems, then it's all over but the crying for GZFX.

I haven't heard any rumor they will and don't think they would without proof of it making them money. It would cost them a lot of money because they have no inventory right now.

Saying that, you still need to go back to previous PR on NetFlix were it was stated that they needed others to come into the market to help with the members that stay. They were eating up there profits. I Don't think even if they started games today it would hurt to bad. Just slow down the current membership a little. By the way, If Blockbuster were to start offering there games with there movies, I think that would hurt a lot more then NetFlix. I was glad to see them offer it on seperate packages myself.

Its a slow time in the penny market right now and I think GZFX will be back strong soon. The only thing that bothers me right now is I don't have any extra money to buy at these prices.

GZFX mentioned at the very end of the article as an afterthought.

PluggedIn: Video games too expensive? Rent online
Tuesday August 10, 12:09 pm ET
By Ben Berkowitz

LOS ANGELES, Aug 10 (Reuters) - Parents, know this about your college-bound children: They are going to party as hard as possible. And, if they could major in video games, they would.
But with new games costing up to $50 each, few students -- and few young adults, for that matter -- can afford to buy them regularly, which is why a number of companies want to do what Netflix did for DVDs and bring game rentals to the masses.

For gamers who want to play the latest titles but cannot afford the high cost of new games, renting is an obvious alternative, particularly since a bad game, once bought, will have relatively little resale value compared with better games.

Though no one has yet put a reliable figure on revenue from online game rentals, in the bricks-and-mortar world, game rentals have been declining for years.

From a peak in 2000 of $919 million in revenue, on 216.8 million turns (or rentals of individual copies of a game), in 2003 rental revenue was $722 million, on 155.7 million turns, according to Rentrak, a business intelligence provider.

But online game rental companies figure their service is perfect for their target audience: young men who want to sit around and play games and may not have the time or the initiative to go and seek them out.

(NYSE IS - News) executive, who founded Cooking.com.

GameFly's core audience consists of 25- to 35-year-old men, who Hodess calls "early adopters," and its ads feature an attractive woman in what might be called a seductive postal uniform. GameFly does not use red envelopes like Netflix, but stays close to the color scheme with orange.

"Fundamentally, the game experience is different from the movie experience," Hodess told Reuters. "The movie experience is maybe once or twice ... a lot of it is weekend oriented. Games, I think the average gameplay is something like 20 hours and that typically takes places over (four to eight) sessions."

One of GameFly's major competitors is RedOctane. While GameFly calls itself the largest game rental service, RedOctane -- which started in 1999 -- says it is the oldest.

RedOctane's Chief Executive, Kai Huang, said there is a question of scale that makes his and other competing services more attractive.

"The video stores still have limitations, of course. They don't stock the breadth of titles we carry; they don't stock the depth," he said in a recent telephone interview.

RedOctane's target users tend to be younger than GameFly's, with an average core audience made up of 14- to 25-year-old males.

GameFly's offers three subscription plans, letting users keep one ($13.95) to three ($29.95) games out at any given time. RedOctane users can get anywhere from two to five games at a time, for $18.95 to $39.95 per month.

While both companies have a more limited distribution network than Netflix, they also say their users keep games longer than DVD renters -- in many cases for as long as two weeks.

Those are not the only options, though. There are other services like GPlay (which recently combined with the rentals site TriggerFingers), NumbThumb and GameznFlix (which rents games and movies both) that offer online game rentals.

And Blockbuster (NYSE:BBI - News), the most ubiquitous of real-world rental stores, has not given up in the face of these online upstarts: the company has recently launched its own Game Pass, offering unlimited rentals in stores for $19.99 a month.

I do agree!! Here is quote from the article, "not many realize there are companies doing the same thing for games...". It DOES NOT state Netflix is getting INTO renting games like other companies.

Regarding Pennystocks being a little sluggish but that makes sense since the whole economy has been sluggish this summer. Iraqi war, energy prices, job growth, etc... IMHO of course.

My bad! I stand corrected...

Wonder if Netflix is going to make the move? Seems like a natural thing for them to do. I mean, they already have distribution, its just a matter of creating inventory and adding it to the site. And knowing that Blockbuster is in the game, they wont want to be too far behind.

So why is GZFX languishing under .06 now? Anyone have some real input?

He stated it the best. I have tried to say it. It's the summer slump. The market as a whole is down. All, well most, pennies are down. We had bad numbers this month on all fronts and with the political front going on its a bad time for the market. Oil is the biggy right now though. Once the oil price stabilize and the bad economic #'s go by the wayside, all will go to normal. I foresee a bad week in general since the feds rose rates and oil this week. Hopefully it will settle down and next week maybe better.
