They were allowing me to email them my bids but it was too slow. I kept chasing it and finally they fixed my problem. I got in at .38....huge difference!!

I have 2 stock acoounts and 1 IRA account w/Ameritrade. I have had alot of problems with them. Todays problem is the most severe, and because of this, I will be closing my accounts. I cant believe that they were able to change the symbol for the Ameritrade users, but not for the Datek users. How F**KING rediculous!
Besides todays problem, they often freeze my money if I try to cancel an order. Like I said before, I am a day trader, so I make alot of trades each day. Although today was the first time I was going to trade GZFX, I have been holding this long, and willl continue to do so.
So when I place an order and then the price moves away from my bid, I will cancel and put in a new bid. When I do this, there have been many times that my order gets frozen in the "requesting cancel" state. This usually lasts between 3-30 mins, and it has lasted up to an hour before. Obviously when this happens, my money is frozen, and there is a possibilty that the order went through.
So if it did happen to go through, and I dont know it for 15min, by the time everything is normal, I could be down 5K $ because the stock went down and I couldn't do anything about it.
And one more thing, is that I was supposed to recieve stock dividends from JGMHA. There was a naked short scandal going on with the company, and many brokerages were in on it, including Ameritrade. So to make a long story short....i didnt recieve my dividends, until i called them up and made a big deal about it. They were already a month and a half late, before I called them up. And at first they acted like they didn't know anything about the dividends. Then they magicaly appeared 4 days later.
I will be researching different brokerages this weekend to decide who to give my business and money to.

Can everyone here list their brokerages and if they are able to trade GZFX?? I am going to call Ameritrade with the list of online brokerages that are taking care of business and their customers by trading GZFX.

Well I had BrokerageAmerica, but sadly, they too are getting swallowed up by Ameritrade. BA was great, I never had any problems and I'm sorry to see them go. Now I must choose between Freetrade and Ameritrade when the "takeover" is complete on February 13th. I was thinking about moving my funds to Freetrade since most people on here have positive things to say, but now I'm not so sure. I know ticker changes are few and far between, but Ameritrade seems to just be a hassle. Any other opinions? Delt, maybe you can let me know of your findings.
btw, since Ameritrade is buying out BrokerageAmerica (the MM 'BAAM'), does that mean bye bye to BAAM as a MM as well? Or will he still remain? TIA!

What do you pay per trade with MyTrack??
And yes Johnny, we NEED some T-shirts to be made because that would be probably the most awesome advertising for us at this level. I mean think about it, walking around campus this Spring with a GameZNFlix "Late Fees Suck!" T-shirt...holy attention getter...

Right, I am able to trade on my Ameritrade account, but not on my Datek/Ameritrade account. And that is where all my shares are and most of my money is there as well.

Johnny, great job with your VeeGeez design! And I want some t-shirts too
As far as Ameritrade goes my streamer was updated this morning to GZFX... and was able to trade... somewhat. There is a hold on my funds for 3 days due to nonmargin account. I'm applying for a margin account for the second time. If I don't get it, I will move my trades to another brokerage site. I want the ability to jump in an out when I need too.

Fozzy,
check back here tomorrow or sunday and I will let you know what I came up with. there has got to be some good brokerages out there.
Currently, I am a little skeptical about free trade, but I only checked them out for a minuit a couple weeks ago.
Anyhow, I will let you know where I will be transfering to.

I opened a Freetrade account on first try and transferred all assets from my Ameritrade account. Freetrade is a lot cheaper with the same interface and margin is automatic. The only difference is no phone support, only email.

Third time was a charm then for Ameritrade and a margin account? Interesting. I may need to try three times then. I'm happy with Ameritrade... I just need my margin account for more real gains when needed. We'll see.

Its too bad that you cant use this money to buy any NM stocks....including GZFX
But if you are investing in marginable stocks.....it can be a great thing

WARNING....if you don't fully understand how margin works, then don't use it. I don't think you can use it on OTCBB stocks anyways, atleast not with Ameritrade. I have Margin, but only so I don't have to wait three days for my sells to clear. I never trade with margin money. With a margin account, the broker can sell your shares at any time, usually when your atock is down, to recover his money. Then you lost money on a sale, and you still owe margin.
Read up on it if you are going ot use it.

True, I will never use margin and you're right. You cannot use margin on any OTC stocks, including BB and Pinkies. I use it for the immediate turnaround.

I would only use my cash, as some others do. Margin is for folks with steel balls and a sure thing. Maybe I would use it when I'm a veteran of this. Not now
