Well, I lived there all my life until I was almost 17. Both have their pros and their cons. I miss my German food and beer though. By the way, i'm from Stuttgart, Germany. Where they make Porsche and the best beer in the world.

Mach,
If you compare German beer and American beer, the American beer would pretty much taste like water. Especially wheet beer is one of the strongest and my favorite. Of course there is many companies making it. Oh and of course real Pilsner. Ahhh, the memories.

Don't even want to think about that. Might give me nightmares. lol

denjohn1000 --> I visited Stuttgart few years back ,,, Actually one thing that I remember is the Market ( incredible cold cuts, cheese and bread) .. but most of all 2 things

(1) a girl completely nude sun tanning in a public park reading a book
(2) Wynyard on a hill overlooking Stuttgart .. this was very cool ... We were sitting in a berril that used to hold wine but is now carved and has a bench with a table in it .. drinking some pretty good wine for about a dollar a bottle!!!!

Stuttgart --> VERY cool city ... and yes Porsche on every corner

Sorry it took me so long to answer I was watching the ballgame. No I am not from Mississippi, but I am right up the road from you in Alabama. I do not raise catfish I trap them in the river in wooden slat boxes. I really enjoy being on the water but it is a lot easier to sit hear and push a few buttons and make a couple thousand dollars. Do you and Mach agree. Thanks again for the picks Mach. I am taking in all the advice from all the knowledgable people on this board and who knows maybe one day I can give you all a good pick.

Where are you going in Hungary .. I lived in Europe for 14 years so I have been in Budapest many times. It is gorgeous!!!
The rural area roads are very poorly labeled and no one speaks English ( at least when I went) so brush up on your German since most people seem to speak German ... All in all it's truly pretty.

Incredibly isolated! I'm originally from the the East Coast (Virginia Beach). We moved here last year and we'll be here for another year and a half. I can't wait to get back on the mainland. It's amazing the simple things you miss. Mmmm, Krispy Kreme doughnuts!!!! Can you believe they don't have one of those here? If anyone heads out this way, pleeeeezzz bring me a box. It's my sweet weakness.

Flying into Budapest... Will probably spend most of the time in Tatabanya. I've been there a few times. I'm lucky to travel with a translator. I've learned a little Hungarian. I've been to the Bolaton (Spelling?) in Hungary. It's a very popular beach. Almost has that fun Miami appeal to it. Now that's a fun place in the summer. And speaking of topless. Wow! Seems these Hungarian women are just all thin and beautiful... and topless seems to be the norm. mach

I used to spend summers on the Adriatic in Yugoslavia back in the 80's ( now I guess it's Croatia) ... anyway ... yes the regular beaches topless ..that's the standard ..
If you ever have a chance to go to Istria in Croatia you would fall in love with it .. It's in my opinion of the greatest kept secrets of the Adriatic .. I found it even more beautiful then Greece!

Well there you go... With all the money you make here... Buy a Krispy Kreme Franchise. Mainland... like how you phrase that... Is it that Hawaii is a place only to vacation in... not a place to settle down? Hows the weather? Is it humid? mach

Something I found out about the Hungarian's. They eat very traditional meals... but they are all so slender and healthy looking. It's amazing. We'll probably be on the same plane sitting right next to each other and not know it. mach

I feel like I've really missed out here. I need to put that on my hit list of places to travel to. I love to travel the world... but I've slowed down this past year. I use to hop on planes and just go and go and go. I remember last time I went... I flew through several destinations and partied in many just for a few nights. I flew into Paris last year for Bastile... Partied for one night... hopped on the plane and I was off again... I didn't even get a hotel for the night... Arrived in the evening... had a great time and then off to Manchester... I need to slow down sometimes. But there's just so many places to go and see. mach

Yes... the Paprika and the famous Hungarian Goulash! I haven't booked the tickets... but will likely go in mid December until Early January... Still trying to figure out how i will trade stocks while overseas... Do you think they will have high speed. I was told they do... but it seems weird trading over oceans... Last time i was in Naples, Florida... I was stuck with a dial up computer and actually lost money because of the delay in selling. I didn't like that at all. mach
