No doubt Morpheus...Been some parabolic moves this year...Crazy to buy some of these high betas up here, prolly even crazier to short lol...
Wonder how many years worth of net income and cashflows FFIV and CRM will add to their market caps before years end...After all, it is called cloud computing...

I just took profit on LVS AMR BIG and HSY near their high of today so far...im out all longs for now and just got into DRV long at 21 good setups for now are KSS, FIRE, ASIA, BIG, LVS, PLUG, AMT, MCD..they all look good when the market starts to get strong again..

TJ...you should have been thinking most of the day...what is tommorrow gonna be...Friday (it mostly goes up on fridays lately) RIMM ACN and ORCL will be reporting...im thinking that the future bias will be weaker the the "anal-yst" are calling for...and we are ready to break the friday up trend..so tommorrow will be down...its a gamble but this is cyber vegas baby...i added to my DRV long at 21.21 ...that is the way i see it...IMHO

Thanks for all the advice Morph, I do appreciate it. As far as my situation goes right now, I'm just in a big slump. And In my opinion, the worst time to trade is when you NEED the money. It, somewhat, becomes just plain gambling. In other words, IMO, it's a recipe for disaster. I've heard the best traders don't necessarily NEED the money. Not right away anyway. The times when I was at my best was when I didn't have to make a gain immediately and I was much more relaxed about trading. That and the fact that a year or so ago, the market was a lot more predictable, to me anyway. Plenty of my own thoughts running through my head here, hopefully you can understand some of it.

oops...was trying to post on your original post....anyway.... My question is: I took a look at these "setups" in comparison with the stochastic over sold pattern. I can see what your saying. They all look like they are "setting-up". Although they all look like they could take just one more dip for a double bottom....most of them anyway. I guess my question would be: If you are getting into LVS, for example, at around $40, what are you trying to get out of it?? A certain %?? Or are you waiting for it to get into an over bought pattern and waiting for it to hit a double, or more, top?? What's the strategy here?

anything above your entry price is always good to get...I just let it ride until me thinks the market is looking to go down...a rising tide raises all ships..you might say..but with my avg 8-12k buy in..a 4%+ is my goal and then give it some wiggle room and let it ride if you do not already...tune into the rockstar at www.daytradingradio.com starting at 5am PST..he has great track record and gives great info for free and is very very good and will make you money..just cherry pick his calls and play small positions get in when he does and out when he does...till you get your mojo back

Nice Morph. V and MA look like serious buys. I like V the best of these two. I also like your other call on CSCO from an earlier post. Any of these held for the longer term swing trade and you will surely make money. IMO
I'm all in EDZ at the moment playing the market short as well. V is tempting!!

Hey TJ. Yep, still here. I have just been kinda stagnant lately in my trading. Crazy market as of late. I have been scared to go long in anything right now with the market peaking the way it is. I lost some cash on a few bad FAZ bets, but I am working my way back. Still playing bear here in EDZ for now. I really do like V long though.

YRCW is also looking good since the lawsuit against them was dropped. One analyst said he can see YRCW at 20+ in 2011. Wow.

HOLY COW IS THIS MARKET EVER GOING TO SLOW DOWN??!! F hit a new high--understandably. SIRI hit $1.74--amazing and I wonder where it's going now. IMO-it's headed toward $2.25+, earnings are toward the end of Feb. Is there a good spot to buy it, will it take a good dip to grab it? My best guess is that it will dip to about$1.48, but if you can grab it in the $1.50 range you would be fairly well off. Overall, I think it would be just plain good to buy and hold indefinitely. They have got a lot going for them and seeing as how they were in the $3 range before the crash, I think they could continue to do quite well for a long time to come. I'm back working so, I can't be here everyday. Not working today though. I check on things in the late afternoon and evening. So what IS this market going to do?? Keep pushing up to 12k?? It sure seems like it to me. I'd love to see a down trend/big correction and jump into FAZ or DRV etc... But, it sure wants to keep pushing up. Any other opinions on SIRI, other good buys and the market??? Shoot them out there.
Good luck guys!! And, Happy New Year!!

Sold my ARMN at $8.505. Have to wait a few days before I can buy. 401k rules...stupid. But I think I will take a risk and grab 5,000 shares of FBC and 1,000 shares of C. I already have a ton of SIRI.
Anyways...HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!!
