My dad and myself looked at it and gave it thumbs down....but I don't get into hype of "WHAT IF..." I do think it can move to $2.30 though.

F...my dad's pick. It has a price target of $19 now....hmmmm....???

ABK has been nuts but seems to be cooling off.

Anyways, one day I will be back rocking it. But until then, guess I will be busy fixing my junk.

well hell, thank god I got out of JNPR before earnings. They had great earnings and, predictably, the market just pummeled them in AH. Looks like SIRI will be a good bet tomorrow. Overall, I am still averaged in below $.85 somewhere for 12000 shares. As Morph says, yee-doggie!

AND...the closer we get to earnings, the more the volume WILL increase, and so will the buying, forcing that price up up up, and through that $1.18 high. As soon as it breaks that high, there will be an awful lot of room for the next high.

Well, the low volume just tells me that everyone that wants to be in for earnings, probably is by now. This also means they are fairly priced. However, lets not be over critical here. SIRI has gone up 5% over the past two days. Yes, this is not a run-up like us daytraders love, but it's still significant. I think Morph has been hitting this stock on the head the whole time and we all should have listened. This is a good old for years to come. There are only two things that will give you a sign to sell this baby.

1) If someone comes out with a better technology and service.

2) When the auto market slows down.

Several analyst downgrades over the past week or so. I love analyst downgrades if I am not in the stock at the time. They usually result in a few days of panic selling followed by a reversal.

Raj-I have TdAmeritrade, there's all kinds of different "tools" you can use. One of them is a last sale chart. It shows actuall buying and selling to the second. When I see pages and pages scrolling by, in combination with watching an L2 chart (which shows how many shares are available at each price) I can pretty much tell you when it's going to jump to the next price up or down.
Like today for example. I was watching the last sale chart in combination with the L2 chart, and there was tons of selling at $1.19, and with not many shares left at that price I could see that the price was going to drop so (Don't kick me fellas) I SOLD AT $1.19......I just don't see a lot more strength or momentum in it. I could be wrong. I guess we will find out in the next few days. Either way I made a boat-load of $$, and It's not like I'm not going to buy back in at some point.

Sorry Raj, but that sounds kind of lame. Honestly, I haven't heard much of anything good about Scottrade. And I've heard you guys complain about it several times. I realize they charge less per trade, BUT if you don't have access to these kind of tools then I don't see the point towards keeping them. These are just a few of the tools that I have there's quite a few more, but these are the main ones I use. I also use a to the minute, streaming, color coded, candle-stick chart. Honestly, they have a lot of great tools to use that have helped me in my buying and selling decisions.

As far as what I'm seeing, it's stable at $1.15/$1.16. Either way, SIRI is just plain good to hold. I don't think you have to loose. It just depends on your own agenda/strategy. Whether it's buy sell buy sell....or just buy at a good price and hold.

I'm kind of liking this DRV/DRN plays. I think the key is to wait until about 1230 EST until the market has determined its direction and high low for the day. Then all you gotta do is play the opposite direction. I think this only works on days the market is up a reasonable amount. How often does the market have two big gains in a row? Almost never. Usually, it reverses a bit the next day. Similar to the way I played it on Thursday.

Today is a GREAT example. DRV was down a big chunk this morning. However, I am going to wait until it bottoms for the day around 1230 EST like I said above. It is now making that move and I am looking to load up around $6.20 or so. Tomorrow is should correct up a bit for a nice 3-5% gain.

Don't be too surprised Glenn. It happened last time and earnings were great...overall. I would almost guarantee it's gonna go down--big sell-off. I also read somewhere that when it gets to the $1.25-$1.30 range it's overbought. I'm almost thinking of shorting it for a short while....we'll see.

I'm gonna keep a close eye on her. Yesterday the NASDAQ finished up 38 points and DRV finihsed down almost 12%. Today the NASDAQ is up 57 points and DRV is up only 6%. If my calcs and logic are correct, we still have a ways to go.

TJ, I think we are seeing that range that FAZ/FAS trade in again. Earnings have had little effect on the market overall. I feel comfortable jumping to FAZ in the $11.50 range or so again.

This is just my observation. People work off of expectations. Think about it. You see it in the workplace. The person that is late everyday gets no backlash. The person that is never late gets a talking to the first time it happens. It's that psychological part of economics I love

On a lighter note, I took nearly a full second from my fastest lap time this weekend at a particular track!

First reason was Greece.

600 point drop is because of this:

Well, the RS is a disaster for someone like YRCW. SIRI has good financials to back their once upon a time RS. YRCW looks like garbage comparatively. This is a last ditch effort to stay listed for them. It will not be looked upon as a great move from investors.

Yeah, It seems in most cases that I have seen there is usually a sell off following the RS. Then once the dust settles it may stabilize. Who knows, maybe the RS won't happen, but from what I have read it looks like it will. We'll see. I think it's probably best to stay away for the moment.

Well my NFLX made a nice jump for me. I am gonna play my strategy and not hold this overnight. Buy at HOD and sell after it chills out a bit. That's the plan for me.

You guys will never believe what happened. When I sold my NFLX yesterday it sold off in chunks. I only put in one order to sell all the shares and since it sold off in chunks, I got a daytrader restriction put back on. I am effin pissed. Called the branch and asked them to bypass it, but it fell on deaf ears.

Do you guys know if the restriction is tied to the person or can I change brokerages and make this go away?

That just shouldn't have happened Glenn. I've had things sell off in chunks like that before....pretty much your same situation, and I didn't get restricted...LAME! I don't think the restriction will follow you if you switch...but not positive.

I am pretty much done with Scottrade. They have been pretty good, especially in customer service. However, their system needs some work. Sometimes I get a warning before my 4th trade and sometimes it proceeds like normal. Sometimes it recognizes partial fills as separate trades and sometimes not. Me thinks time to switch.

Do you guys trade with margin at all?

TDAmeritrade lets me know each day trade. I use margin as well but Margin will kick your ass when you lose or get that Margin Call.

I have been absent for some time now...hard to believe how cheap AKS...MT is. WOW...AKS is the biggest bargin in my opinion.

Gents, I would be loading up on some FAZ and DRV. This market is going down. Housing sucks again since the credit expired, the Euro is worthless, our national debt has exploded, retail is weak, etc. A lot of reasons to feel negative about this economy.

I have TD Ameritrade Glenn. It will probably take a while for you to get used to it compared to what your using now but, they do have a good trading platform and lots of different "tools" to use. Honestly, I haven't had any weird problems with it or them. And if you switch and use me as a reference, I get a bunch-o free trades.

The level II chart is actually quite helpful, it shows where the buying and selling is headed, where it's leaning towards. It has helped me quite a bit as far as knowing when to buy and when to sell. you can spot weekness and strength with what's going on too. As far as the fees are...$9.99 per trade, nothing else. I've heard of others charging less but then they tack on fees when you buy more than a certain number of shares and other things too.

Hey guys what's up?? I tried to short something the other day and it wasn't going my way so I got out yesterday...lost just a little. I think the stock symbol was POS!! Way low volume, foot dragging, pile of crap!! Anyway, I'm still in FNM hoping for a bounce SOMEDAY, and otherwise I've been gone most of the week doing another temporary job, which might run into next week. well I saw SIRI drop to .94 the other day, shoulda jumped in. 1.05 today. Although not sure what they are going to do in the long run. Their earnings report wasn't great last time around, and they're just not showing the same strength...that's the way I see it anyway. But they could suprise me.....we will see what happens there.

Wow. Not good TJ. Looks like they will trade on an OTC board after July 8. My guess is they will continue to fall. You might have to take the hit and get out. However, I do not have a lot of experience in this area so I am not completely sure. But it doesn't look good from what I can see. Good luck man. I hate when crap like that happens. I was caught in a BK once, so I definately know the feeling.

It's a tough game man. Hopefully, you can hit a few good trades and rebound. I have been looking mostly at fundamentally strong companies with nice balance sheets, lower O/S, and an appealing chart. Less risk that way. and if I can just get better at my exit timing, I would be doing pretty well too. I try to avoid the lotto plays, although they are sometimes tempting. I do sometimes take a few risks with them, but not too often.

Well guys, time to find a way for me to rebuild. I'm not down and out just yet. Although this is a huge blow to my TD account, and it's taken me quite a while to build it up the way I did. Not quite sure what to do next. Yet, I'm happy to see FNM down today just to back up my decision to bail on it as fast as I could yesterday. I'd be loosing even more now. Well luckily I've got money to live on, otherwise I'd be panicing about now. And on top of that, for the past 4-6 months I have been building/gaining back quite steadily. So, I feel that I do have the knowledge to actually rebuild. Though that's not to say that I'm cool as a cucumber. I've been swearing like a sailor just about non-stop......either way, there's got to be a way for me to get this loss back. I have to! That's all there is to that.
And also, I think it's kind of weird that FNM/FRE out of the blue announced this news yesterday. I know they haven't been doing well, but still, overall I just haven't heard any news like this pertaining to them. I say.."CONSPIRACY"!!! Next thing they will they will not be going to the OTC and their stocks will shoot through the roof.....and then they will say they are, then not etc......up, down, up, down....

Still here too Raj. Wondering if Morph fell off a cliff. Not in anything yet. Although I am looking into a few things and keeping a close watch on a few here and there. Kind of wondering if YRCW is going to hit a hidious rock bottom price and make a big one or two day bounce. Although I don't think it's going to help you too much Raj, if your still in it. I'm also looking into loading a few more tools to assist in my trading.
I see CSTR dipping fairly low, starting to look good for a buy...as far as the charts go. Also, here's a stock that has some pretty tremendous days: IFLG--You will have to look at their chart. To me It's a gambling stock. In other words you gotta know what your doing to make money. And DON'T hold this baby over night. BUT, when this thing is going up big, as it does every few weeks or so, jump in and jump out. There is money there, just gotta be quick about it.
LCC and UAUA still look solid, they might still have room to grow too. Still wondering what SIRI is going to do also. It gives me the feeling they're kind of topped out for a while. Not sure what to think there.

Still here guys. Watching, but not in the market right now. I just bought a foreclosure and my money will be tied up for awhile I imagine. Gonna be very busy gettin this baby fixed on up.

TJ, Don't be fooled by the lack of action within SIRI. They are still holding their own, just getting beaten down by the market right now. It's still a fantastic hold for some time to come.

Sometimes I think you really gotta know the market quite well AJ. FAS AND FAZ can be so stinkin volitle, they can be somewhat of a gamble. I've made money on them before, but it was usually on a one day kind of thing or when the market was more stable. And God knows I've lost on them before too. Overall I don't think the market is very stable....one day it's up 150 next day it's down 250 and tanking. That's my best advice, just be careful bro.

Nope I didn't get into it, thank god. My BIDU looks good right now tho, hoping they get atleast to the 76 mark before the 17th. REALLY REALLY wish I had bought atleast another 1 or 2 calls with a 1.65 premium yesterday. Just wondering if I want to hold next week though. A lot of people I talk to are still very bearish. I personally think a lot of stocks are oversold right now. I'm thinking about shorting RIMM maybe? I don't see that being more than a $25-30 stock within 6 months. Been watching CIEN, CHK, VG, VOD, TC, FCX, MMM. Not necessarily as swing trades but atleast looking for a few bottoms or a long position.

Well that's good you didn't get into FAZ. I just sold my SIRI at $1.01, made about $400, so I'm happy about that. I'm going to try to catch it again when/if it dips back down and may ride it till earnings, which I believe is 8-8. Although SIRI might just keep riding up, not quite sure. It was just nice to finally make a good trade and some cash to get moving again.

Yeah I've felt that a lot of stocks are oversold right now also. Like F for example. If the market stays stable I could see them at $18. I've been watching CIEN also, might be something there.

hey guys I wanted to get some input from you. I have 3 calls for BIDU with a break even point at $72. currently the price is at 74.50....meaning thats a $750 profit. Do you guys think I should take it off the counter or should I wait until thursday after google reports earnings, I'm hoping that theres news basically saying how google is not doing any business in china. Problem is my expiration on my options is on the 17th. Just wanted to get your opinions because its either take that profit....but for every $1 the stock goes up I make $300 so it seems like a big reward/little risk ratio. thanks for any input

Well AJ, if I knew more about options I would probably have a better opinion, and I don't really follow BIDU. My general opinion is: If you have been holding it for quite a while and your now in the green making some decent money, I say take the cash now. And often times, relying on what earnings will do for a stock is sometimes a gamble. But, that would all be my opinion. Good luck!

So I ended up selling my $2 calls of BIDU for $5.75 for a $1,125 gain...not that bad for two weeks I guess. Now wondering what else to get into...thinking about looking into options for CIEN. Thanks TJ! Yeah I still do not fully understand options, but I feel I have a good grip on it. I just like how you can control more stock for less money and how you're protected because you only lose your initial investment or "down payment" appose to dumping in 21k into a stock where the losses are endless.

I'm trying to understand where this market is going to go honestly. I was enjoying the movement of the last two weeks but fridays sell off scared me a little bit. You guys still bearish? or do you think we just had a nice little pullback with some decent buying oppurtunities

Overall I feel like it's going to keep heading up, but like you said that friday sell-off was a little scary. BUT, with that big drop I saw it as an opportunity so I bought back into F at $11.35. fingers crossed. And I'm still in SIRI....still floating, not sure what to do there.

TJ, what I did was buy calls of BIDU with a strike price of $70. The stock was trading at about $67-68 at the time but I knew it would hit higher than $70 in a few weeks. When you buy the "option" to purchase a contract of 100 shares of the stock, you pay a premium per share. My premium for each share was $2 and I purchased 3 of those contracts...meaning I spent $600 in order to control 300 shares of stock if the stock hit $70. Since I paid $2 per share though my breakeven point was $72...anything over 72 was all profit and for every dollar the stock went above 72 I made $300 since I had 300 shares. So I when I finally sold the premium was 5.75 then subtract the 2 that I paid and that comes out to 3.75 per share times 300 shares. So basically turned that 600 into 1725. I don't think that thats typical but I read that chart pretty well and went for an out of the money call, which will always be a lot cheaper so I bought more calls for less money. I'm looking into BAC calls for August or October but I think I want more stability. I don't know why but I always felt that F was not going to move....but I also thought that when they were like $1.20 lol.

Tried to get into (2) $80 calls of APA with a 6.20 premium and then the stock literally took off and now the bid for the premium is 7.00. Wish I put it in for 6.30...could've made a quick $140...literally in minutes...ugh

Got 2 calls of APA for $6.60. Already up about $60 bucks but I think this thing is gonna jump up if they close that deal with BP to buy some of their assets for a reduced price. Only problem is that I think there is not enough open interest for the $80 strike price. If I had bought 4 calls of the $3.40 premium for the $85 strike price I'd be up around $200 bucks for about the same investment though, ugh.

Tempted to sell my calls I bought yesterday of APA for 8.80-9 for a 420-460 gain but greed is settling in and I think this market is gonna blow up towards the EOD. Hopefully people take Apple's earnings the right way since Apple controls so much of the Nasdaq and I just bought calls for Ciena earlier in the day. They usually do and with the way AAPL has moved today I think we'll be in for a decent green day tomorrow!

should've sold for a 560 gain but I got greedy. Apache is going to purchase BP assets, but not at a reduced rate or the assets they were originally talked about and they're also going to sell stock....great. ugh, its still a great buy for them but shareholders aren't seeing it that way and the stock pretty much lost all of todays gains within 40 mins after the close. I have plenty of time to make it back but I just hope it doesn't tank after this news.

greed's a killer ain't it?? it sure has killed me a few times. I sold F early today, wasn't quite sure what the market was going to do but, what a rebound huh??? I hardly made anything on F, but with the small $ I had in it I wasn't going to break the bank if I sold it later. Besides that I had to be gone all day so I couldn't baby-sit it all day. Still in SIRI---AWESOME BOUNCE! Hopefully on it's way up towards earnings. I think this earnings report will be better than the last time. hope so anyway. I'm fairly confindent. LET'S ROCKKKKKK!!!!!

I think thats the best way I can explain what I'm doing. I'm still new to options so I'm only dealing with call options and just taking my profits and running into something else. I mean its pretty much the same as day trading with stocks but the premiums have much bigger swings percentage wise. I only picked up NFLX yesterday because I felt it would have a small bounce this morning...which it did, but I couldn't get out of it because my internet got messed up when I was about to place the order. I'm probably going to get out of it soon because I just feel like this is like catching a falling knife.

I decided to hang on to SIRI eventhough the volume is a bit low but, that just kinda tells me that a lot of people are holding to see the outcome of the earnings report is. Although it will need some serious buying to drive this price up. I'm hoping for about $1.12-$1.15, but it could poop-out at around $1.10.....we'll see. I will probably hold through the week and maybe into early next week but probably not hold right up until the morning of earnings, unless I see some big force behind it.

FINALLY sold my calls of NFLX today for a 440 gain. Was really getting worried it would never come back up. Too bad I didn't pick up more of it when the calls were down to like 1.80. I ended up purchasing (20) $36 calls of SKX yesterday for .90 each and then picked up another (5) $36 calls at .75 today. Probably a little early for the both, but I feel pretty good about the stock pushing towards $35-35.50 within the next week. CHK is another stock I always look at when it hits that high $20 range, but I never jump into it. Hey TJ I don't blame you for your play on SIRI, its a weird stock as in it builds up towards earnings...then releases a great earnings report and the stock dumps a little, then eventually runs again. I am thinking about going long on SIRI very soon

I'm not 100% sure raj but I had no problem qualifying to trade options and I only made a few small trades previously and I only have roughly 5k in my account. I might have to pick up some of these .50's of SKX though just because this has tanked today...wish I bought them now instead of yesterday but I thought it was going to have a little rally after an almost 8% selloff the other day. ugh..and to think I would've doubled my profits if I just held onto NFLX for today.

status on my action....still hold long SIRI and MSFT I had bailed on both some time ago and got back into more shares for lesser price a few weeks after that..so it worked out good there..added 25% to my holding on DRN AMD and LVS at the close today and also started a 1K share position of OMX near the close today at 11.45...so for now im long and climbing the "wall of worry"...god bless america and god bless the american stock market..

Idid not buy anything on tuesday...but I just opened a position into KIRK at 11.04 and added 500 shares to AMD at 5.93...its looking like it could be a reversal day perhaps???? Im into going long before the 6:50am PST reversal which happens all the time...new home sales are comming out at 7 so grabbing long is a real gamble at this point..

I'm wondering if this market is ever going to start to reverse. It's been down just about everyday for a week or more now. If we do see it headed back up, with some strength behind it, it would be a great time to go long on lots of stuff in my opinion. I'm long on F right now. SIRI looked good at .95xx yesterday....lots of volume there too.

Yeah Morph, I'm red on F right now also. But, I have a lot more faith in F than a lot of other things, so I'm still holding. When I see it and the market definately headed back up I might double up on it, or at least buy more to get my break even price down a little.

Still in F here waiting patiently on it. Hoping to add to it soon. Bought LCC late yesterday and then sold it at a peek a few minutes ago, made just a little but that's ok. looking for another quicky for today or overnight. Although the market could be kind of flat today after that BIG GREEN day yesterday.....we will see.

Probably should have bought some SIRI when it was at .95.

yep....this a great area...lots of great restaurants and shopping all over the place, 3 hospitals within 5 miles, close to the train station..the airport is right there and going to convert to an international terminal soon a Junior Collage 5 miles away, the new AV University just opened this semester..vegas is a 3 hour drive, the pacific ocean is about 1 hour, snow skiing just 30 minutes up the mountain..mt bike in the summer and great snow in the winter

morpheus...happy for you brother. i want to get in on RE also but everything is pricey in northeast...thing with investment props is that you must be closer to your properties so in case if you have to run and fix something, you can do it or hire someone to do it without getting ripped off. 29,000 for 1 BR units is unheard of in northeast.

Yeah, these prices are unheard of up here too. I bought my first house (micro-house) 1 bedroom 1 bath, for $76,000. AND, that was 13 YEARS AGO! I sold that house just about 4 years ago for $295,000! Although I built a new garage and another bedroom in the very small basement.....but still, geeze!

I own a home in NE Pennsylvania. Schuylkill County to be exact. I used to live there, now it's a rental. Large living room, 1 bath, 3 bedrooms, basement is divided into an additional 3 rooms, and it has a 1 car garage. I paid $26,000.

The house needed no work and was in move in condition when I bought it. Properties in this area are crazy low priced. I tell people here in Philly what I paid and they don't believe me. They insist I mean the down payment. I have to keep saying No, that was the full price., lol.

SJU---THAT IS SICK DUDE! That's mind-blowing crazy pricing! I've got 2.2 acres where I built my new house, and JUST the property, nothing else, was $155,000! The house cost me another $175,000 for me to build. And that's considering I built it. Property prices have gone crazy up here. Of course I could sell my house for at least $400k, but still crazy, crazy!

I know TJ. It really is crazy. Part of the reason the prices are so low in the area is the fact that there are not many jobs. That is also the reason I moved away. I have friends that have purchased homes with land for under 10,000. These were properties that needed a little work, but not much.

$10,000???!! I could sell my house and buy something there and not worry about a job! Part of the reason that the prices are so high up here is because of the Canadians that are so close. They come down and buy vacation homes and they keep the gas prices high too. this is one of the highest prices in the country for gas. And it's not like the economy is booming up here.

That's always the question isn't it SJ?!! That's what I'm wondering about F. Overall I'm fairly confident in it, I see a lot of strength behind it and the charts look good. It still could dip a little or flaten out for a few days next week but, after that I think we're going to see it really surge. I would just about say the same with TC, according to the charts anyway.... fingers crossed.

Still hanging on F here by my fingernails. The market is so wishy-washy....can't quite tell where it's going. Looking at the charts I was hoping to squeeze a little something out of FAZ today. That's generally the pattern....buy Thursday sell Friday.....not today. It seems like FAZ (according to the charts) is headed for another low. we will see.

raj...the stock market is known as "the biggest game in town"...remember..it is akin to a game of chess..you must always be planning for the next few moves ..sometimes, days in advance...as for me..I have been playing the 2 step forward, 3 step back game. i.e. the market has been going up 20-30 points for 3 or 4 days and then "BAMB"...down 200..then repeat. with that in mind...I have been buying FAZ in lots of 200 shares every day about 3.5-4 hours into the trading day. Started Friday, a week and half ago...but hey...thats just me ...I must be a total moron...but you gotta luv luv luv vegas...im up to 1400 shares now and that is more than enough for now... I think I will just wait and see if it is the right thing to do...

Morph-You always have really good advice and insight! I always appreciate your words. I bailed on my F yesterday at the best price I could and yet still lost a little. My feeling with the market right now is real close to what your thinking Morph. Everything is looking like it should break up but they just aren't. And now they're getting to be overbought. And on top of that, I think we're over due for a big down day or possibly a few in a row. I think the economy is still on very shaky ground and just about anything could send the market into a big down turn. Where is your average on FAZ Morph??

FAZ does look to be shaping up. I expect history to repeat itself also and still see a pretty decent dip for September. I also like my support lines for the dow holding above my 9700 mark. Thought we might even start the dip today but the 200ma is looking even stronger so we'll see. Still some decent over sold stocks out there imo. But then decent isn’t what it used to be lol.

thanks for morpheus for your point of view. I agree with TJ - you always have the best vision for where to be and where not to be in market at what times. FAZ consolidation looks like a good move really.

I made about 3% on the OREX run....and no i did not try to chase it......other than that, not much activity. I am thinking about getting in on FAZ tomorrow morning...

Morph-I'm curious, for my own education and understanding, what are you basing your plan on for FAZ?? Are you basing it on a certain % and then sell, or basing it more on the charts?? A little of both, or maybe just a big up day for it? I'm mostly basing it on the charts and the fact that lots of everything is topping out and the market, as well as lots of other things, is quite sideways, which tells me, when it floats like this it has more of a tendancy to drop. as you know...faz is inverse financial..they have been sideways to down lately...but to answer you Q..im just.. you might say "playing the odds"..due to the fact that we have had a nice bunch of up days as of late..so I'm trying to use a little logic (my first mistake!!) seems that we are ready for a pullback of sorts..also the news on the European banks, poor employment, weak housing, Jupiter is in alignment with Mars, my black cat has been missing for more than 2 days and the kitchen floor was too cold morning..all good sound reasons for FAZ to move up from here...

imo it's a tough call since as I mentioned I didn't see any real stressed indicators. Zee just told me he got his post from another source also lol but i wanted to show that there are many different theories out there. Yeah Morph, that is the question. What is the next move?? The market has been in an up-down-up-down trend for the past 3 months. Trading has been slugish, job market doesn't look good, as well as housing and the auto market. And of course the overall economy doesn't look so good either. I think the the European market is a little shaky too. So do we follow the charts as far as watching it top out?? Or what?? Right now I'm mostly following the charts. But maybe just pulling out a good percentage would be good enough and then buy back in if it looks good...?? Any input fellas??

One possible issue to note for us FAZ holders is the DOW trend. If you look at a one year chart of the DOW and the current upward trend that started in June. Looking at the trend lines we can possibly see 11000 before a significant pullback. Who knows for sure, but that is what the trend lines indicate. Just something I have been watching.

Yeah well, So what's gonna happen today??? LCC jumped way up on news that they are buying another small airline out. YRCW went way up in aftermarket on Friday....probably going to float right back down untill their news actually goes through. Not sure where NFLX is going, they sure are high though.

at the close today...I jumped off the Jet plane and onto the rocket ship....basicly bailed on FAZ and rolled all into DRV..FAZ is a 2X and DRV is a 3X inverse....the difference is ...50% the move..when FAZ moves 6-7%....DRV will do the same only 10-12%...it takes less upfront bucks to make the same cash..or the equal amount of bucks input upfront will make you richer faster....he he he...

I mostly hunt under $5 R1 but I'll try and spread it out a bit more if i find something i like. Watching to see if some start showing a retrace. I'm tempted to sell everything and just wait till after New Years but will likely just shorten my swings even more. Maybe there is a chance for the bears to start taking soome short positions on plays like MEE, LSI, MU and JBL - I don't short so just throwing those out there for you to look at. FAZ seems to be setting up again teasing the bears. I know a couple weeks ago i thought it was just dumb money pushing the market up and left almost everything on the sidelines while everyone else was rakin in the $$. QE2 certainly put a push on things. If it weren't for uranium taking off I prolly would still be shaking my head lol. And now, as I am looking for a retrace we'll prolly take right off for a 12k dow! lmao - don't think so.

Hey fellas, whatup? been busy doing other things myself. R1-NO ABK for me! When they have been bouncing like they have been I equate it to trouble. and, as we all can see, they are in a BOAT-LOAD! I've been totally blowing it on SIRI. Shoulda have been sticking with them all along like I've done in the past. Hopefully I will eventually get back on track, there's still money in there. I totally picked F a few weeks ago. I said they would go up and easy 5%, look at them now! More like 20%. I'm sure there will be a day that I actually trust my instincts....Damn it!

Hey Morph, I've been off doing other things but, still paying attention. I'm not able to be here during the day but, I check things out in the morning and evening. Although I always appreciate your advice. So stick around! One day I'll figure all of this crap out and I actually will be MIA---on vacation. I like your advice about "hope". I've always said (in the back of my mind) If your using words like "hope" and "wish" you probably don't know what your doing and you need to re-think your plan. Selling at a loss sucks but, it can easily get worse.

Can someone explain to me what the differance is between GM and MTLQQ?? Why is MTLQQ still trading on the OTC, and why did it not become a part of GM?? I've been under the impression that MTLQQ (basicaly) is GM and when they were to be re-listed on the NYSE they would become GM and be trading at whatever low dollar figure that it would push to.

Easy one to answer. Its the same store like K-Mart but listed with a fancy BS addition. I had over $17,900 in KM stock at $0.48 a share buy in thinking that once the BK is over it would be worth mega $$$ Same with Hayes Lemmerz...$10,000+ at $0.02 a share. They both emerged from BK and I got $29,000+ F*'ed.

So the answer is this...its the same company period. However, they change the name slightly, screw everyone and start over with out any debt.

Hmmm...think I could go to court and change my name to Billy from Bill and tell the credit card company, mortgage company and everyone else I am not Bill anymore but a new person names Billy and I no longer owe them debt...that Bill does and he no longer exists.

Hope that helps explain it.

Ohhh here is one I hope someone can answer. When a person files Chapter 7. They get their slate cleaned however...all the creditors now get to give the filer a 1099 form claiming the debt that was written off is now considered income and Taxes are due. So when a company does this...do they owe taxes like general people do???

Thanks for all the advice Morph, I do appreciate it. As far as my situation goes right now, I'm just in a big slump. And In my opinion, the worst time to trade is when you NEED the money. It, somewhat, becomes just plain gambling. In other words, IMO, it's a recipe for disaster. I've heard the best traders don't necessarily NEED the money. Not right away anyway. The times when I was at my best was when I didn't have to make a gain immediately and I was much more relaxed about trading. That and the fact that a year or so ago, the market was a lot more predictable, to me anyway. Plenty of my own thoughts running through my head here, hopefully you can understand some of it.

Nice Morph. V and MA look like serious buys. I like V the best of these two. I also like your other call on CSCO from an earlier post. Any of these held for the longer term swing trade and you will surely make money. IMO

I'm all in EDZ at the moment playing the market short as well. V is tempting!!

HOLY COW IS THIS MARKET EVER GOING TO SLOW DOWN??!! F hit a new high--understandably. SIRI hit $1.74--amazing and I wonder where it's going now. IMO-it's headed toward $2.25+, earnings are toward the end of Feb. Is there a good spot to buy it, will it take a good dip to grab it? My best guess is that it will dip to about$1.48, but if you can grab it in the $1.50 range you would be fairly well off. Overall, I think it would be just plain good to buy and hold indefinitely. They have got a lot going for them and seeing as how they were in the $3 range before the crash, I think they could continue to do quite well for a long time to come. I'm back working so, I can't be here everyday. Not working today though. I check on things in the late afternoon and evening. So what IS this market going to do?? Keep pushing up to 12k?? It sure seems like it to me. I'd love to see a down trend/big correction and jump into FAZ or DRV etc... But, it sure wants to keep pushing up. Any other opinions on SIRI, other good buys and the market??? Shoot them out there.

Hey guys its been awhile. Got killed playing with short term options back in the summer with SKX then went back to school so I was lacking funds. But for like the tenth time I am back! haha. I guess this thing takes awhile to figure out and you just have to learn from your mistakes. So what did I do for my first trade yesterday? Bought (17) JAN $30 calls of FAS at .76 at the open aka short term options lol. Picked them up at the open yesterday and they're looking pretty good in pre-market this morning and I'm thinking about selling at open depending on how the market moves. I think Fins are going to start to recover pretty fast so with profits (hopefully) I'm thinking about getting longer term calls in FAS & BAC.

I added to my call positions in FAS with April 11 $34's and have been adding tons of March 11 $50 call options of LVS. Showed support around the 44.20's and I think its going to run up before they report earnings coming up. They moved the earnings date up so I think thats a good sign because the stock was getting hit pretty hard and I don't think that they would want to move their earnings date up if they were going to report bad earnings. Also picked up a few Aug 11 $100 HES calls for $.96 ...felt like going shopping I guess with that one haha.

I bought 2,350 shares of C last week at $4.88. I was going to buy AKS instead at $14.50. Definately would of paid $14 even for sure. AKS jumped above $16 this week. All the steel companies jumped.

T...my father's pick. He pointed out the fact that they are paying a 6% Divy making it very attractive for a safe low risk long play. I'm not crazy about T but posting it anyways.

FBC...didn't buy any and happy I didn't. I would of paid $1.62. Sure wish I did buy it the other day at 10 am when it dropped to $1.30s. Stock back at $1.64.

AMRN...you all seriously have to look at the stock chart. Yes I sold out. Over a year, the stock has come back from the grave. It has been very volitle the past month. One day its $9+ the next day its at $7. Go look at the charts on it. Seems like some easy money can be made here.

I think years from now people are going to be wondering why they didn't buy C at these levels, same with BAC. T's time has come and gone or atleast its not going to see any major growth for awhile IMO...its VZ's time to shine now and they have a pretty decent Dividend if thats the only reason you're playing it (5.3%).

Main stocks I'm watching for awhile: BAC, C, FAS, LVS** (earnings next week!!!), MGM, AA, AKS, AAPL, CAT, HES, FCX, SRZ, ACTC. Unreal day NFLX is set to have, its sickening to think I use to own $80 calls of that only back in August.

OREX...old stock we played a few years ago. Well, it dropped from $9 range to $2.50. I thought about posting the bounce play when it did drop but the fact that the company had ZERO income. I felt the bounce would be little. Well, I dropped the ball for you all. Its at $3.38 now. That is a 35.2% bounce.

AJGrano, I agree with most of your watch lists. Haven't checked up on HES, FCX, SRZ before but the others a familiar to me. I really like AKS. Think that is my favorite for the fact its around $15-16 and it will likely jump to $22-26 with-in this year. Over time the bank stocks will become nX plays. What the n = will be the fun part. I think 2-5x would be reasonable in a 2 year period.

OREX...$3.61 close. Now I feel bad I didn't post it when it got KO'd. I think its moving back up for several reasons. Huge price drop. Reports saying their FAT drug still has hope. IMO...too risky!!

You will see me move involved here. Been putting money back in my account plus playing with my 401k again. So expect more out of me.

Guess OREX investors are confident in a mere possibility of a rejected drug to get approved somehow. However, more testing is required which should take 6 months to years "IMO". So another jump to $3.94...wow. Its up 57.6% from low. Again...sorry for not posting any sooner.

Stock market looks good today. Just about everything is positive.

I don't think its too late to buy C, AKS, F, SIRI (would like cheaper but $2.00 target by MS makes it a bargin), BAC

I haven't done any real searching, just a quick scan here and there. Going to ride my C for a while. In at $4.88.

Superbowl was as I predicted for winner. I'd like to say my OSU guy AJ HAWK won the game on Defense over Michigan's C. Woodson who got a broken collar bone. Just a little fun I will have at work today.

AOL had a ad played during the superbowl. I just read a news report on AOL. LOL!!! First off I find it hard to believe people still use DIAL UP for internet. In 2003 they had about 27 million subscriptions. Now they have under 4 million. A 86% drop. Now they pay over 800 Million for a news group. LOL!!! Do they really have the DUMBEST CEO's or what. (Man that extra news sure makes me want to drop my Cable 9MG internet for 56k Dial Up...not to mention install phone service in my house which I have NEVER had). I vote AOL as the most wreckless company this year.

Don't forget about OCNF, SBLK and SHIP, these guys have taken a hell of a beating. And with China raising rates and the state Japan is in it could affect demand.

Was kind of a crazy day, VIX was all over the place...Second day in a row it failed to break and close above the 50 day...Today was the first of four straight big POMO days...So who knows where we go next week...

On the same page with you Morpheus but I'm thinking maybe after May opex...Hard to tell what tricks Bennie has left up his sleeve heading into June and the end of QE2, all bets are off if he initiates QE3...JMO

Not holding much over the weekend but still long TDSC from $37.90's and RIMM puts up nicely today...GLTYA

Read this. I think I owned this company and sold it back in Winter. WOW!!!!

Anyways...I've been very busy lately. Selling Koi fish. Taking care of my son. Running for office which I won Executive Board at my local union. Road trips to buy more Koi to sell. Far behind on chores around the house. Too many projects going on at once. But Saturday I get a 2 week vacation. Once Koi season is over, I'll dump my money back into stocks. Spent $9,800 on them since March 19th. Crazy but cool hobby.

So stocks to poke at:

FBC...worth the risk at the cheap prices.


Lets look back at some stock picks from last year:

CAT...was less then $25 I believe. Now over $100.
CTSH...was at $20 range...now over $70.
AA.....was at $7...think its around ????
CAR...was less then $2...now hmmm....$13??? too lazy to look.
LVS...was around $16....now over $40
MGM...was around $3....now around $15....I think
JDSU...was at $9....now around $20+
F....Was at $1.05...now around $15
APPL...Was less then $70...now hmmm....$200-300ish.

Needless to say, we had some awesome opportunities. Just think...the market still never recovered yet. Still lots of up trend.

I still like steel companies...still bargain prices. MT, AA, X, AKS, URRE, TC, forgot them all.

Yeah I'm rusty. But very pleased to see all of you on here!! Come fall I will bring a new guy aboard. He is a seasoned day trader and options trader. Hell....he might be on here already. But you will see me back in full force very soon. Been getting my ducks in a row.

No doubt Boo...When I do get a chance to play I have been pretty much sticking to VXX, SPY and GDX weeklies...More often than not they turn into daytrades rather than swings so I have not been posting quite as much, unless I find something I like for more than a few hours lol...Still very long my 3D printing plays, sooner or later they will all have their day ...

Well, called TDAmeritrade and asked where my money is. They now have a 1 day hold on ACH transfers coming in and 3 day hold on ACH transfers going out. They used to execute my transfers lots faster. Put a deposit into TD before 10:30...money there by for trading by 11:30am. Transfer money to deposit to bank before 1:30pm...money in bank by 3:30pm. WTH!!!

At least there is no fees still. :/

Well, good luck all and I hope you made some money off my day trader pick. I know I would of made a couple thousand.

Guess I'll just go play with some of my money in the Casino throwing dice. I'm loving craps.

AMR hit $0.38 today around 3:15. I knew it was a good day trader. Sure wish my funds were clear. I would of never held the stock for $0.38 but a 71.1% bounce is awesome!! Man, I would of made a boat load of $$$

Wednesday AMR will be a bad day to play safely. Might have some bounces but will average down. This is a DEAD DUCK stock.

I will find a good play in the morning for a day trade, but will buy BAC for long at $5.02. I just want to flip a few stocks before going long.

Hmmmm....I might day trade AMR. Was at $0.34 premarket...now its at $0.40. Will have to take a closer look. Get an idea if it will be a good play or not. Normally you have a 1 day Dead Cat bounce. The 2nd day, it may still bounce some but usually trends down.

BAC jumped 7.9% premarket. $5.47. $5.07 close.

MT jumped 11% premarket. $18.40. $16.58 close yesterday.

Money is clear now. So I'm officially back in the game. I'm looking at making $550 today is my target.

Dow is predicted to be up 268 points at bell. That is a lot.

That is crazy though. If Europe didn't do good today and have some debt relief. Our market would of dropped 200 points or so.

AMR...$0.42 high in premarket. Should drop at open then run back up. Not sure where it will drop to or how high it will get but I like to take the premarket and drop the high a little for sell point.

First off Sju1973. Thank you for the welcome back!!

I would suggest dumping that stock now. Your up over $0.60 or so. Divergence line is getting close...so likely will start dropping back down.

AFFY...sorry for any who bought in. Bad call for entry and exit. Didn't follow normal trend.

Sold my DEXO today at $1.77. Made 4.1% I got very very lucky...close today would of cost me at $1.60.

I would of made more if I had went and bought BAC/MT/AKS/X/C/F. Ohhh well...can't complain if your making some $$$ no matter how small of a profit it is.

At this point, I'm taking a back seat to buying any of the stocks I just listed above. I think it will come back down and as much as we love roller coasters....we only like going up with stocks. So, one bad report and the market will drop again 200-300 points. Maybe more...maybe it will continue to go up. But I'm going to be lots smarter and also risky at times. I have a lot of work ahead of me for myself and all of us. Like I said years ago. Working as a team works far better then being on your own...unless your Morpheus.

Good luck all and I will be watching the streamer each morning...looking for the next big play.

Thanks again to everyone who has been active and patience with my long awaited return. I hope I can steer everyone in the right direction again. I am a little rusty...so bear with me....and I'm not playing with a Big chunk of money. So it will be very interesting in what I turn my little nest into. I'm excited!!

PPHM....$1.53....geez...dropped the ball on this one. Missed out on another 14.75%

So scratch the entry and exit points. 11:30 I think it will tank off a bit for lunch. So how low will it go....$1.30-1.36. I might steer away from re-entry on this one. The stock was over $2 5 months ago. I couldn't find any news on why it jumped up back then besides them saying they would do a trial. Today we get the results and that is why it spiked up 48%. So....will it break into $2. I don't know...but its possible that it could happen in the next week or so. But I'd say once the hype is over...stock tanks.

AMR...$0.65. Somethings up here. Just noticed it spiked up $0.21. Have to check into it and see if there are any $$$ to make.

Morpheus...put the cocktails and golf clubs down. Your missing all this easy money today.

That was a great video. 30 minutes long but now I understand how everything works.

Been silent because I bought MS and AA. Didn't sell either when I had some nice profits...then they tanked. AA still down. MS...up 2.34%. Wanted to sell at $17. So in debate now on if I should hold it or sell and buy FAZ.

Happy New Year everyone!!

Up 23.17% since starting back up in December. I want to top 1,000% this year. Going to be a workout for sure....but possible. Sold my AA and MS today. Tired of watching it go up and down and sitting in the middle.

Market prediction for Thursday. Drop 70 points. Hmmmm....come on 500 point drop. I'm also in debate on buying FAZ. I held off today since I have no clue what the market will do at this point. 12,400+ is a big test. Tricky to hold stocks at this point or buy new ones. So gonna wait for a nice dip or a quick play.

I almost was looking for the drop back too. I think we'll see it soon enough but when I looked closer I was thinking we'd see 12,8 DOW again. Jobs report coming out may inflate things a bit, December isn't a very reliable number imo.

Thanks BooDog. 1,000% is a good target. They say you should always shoot for the moon. If I made 1,000% I would be back in the game for sure where I could buy 3-8 stocks at a time vs playing 3 or less now. Started with $3,000 in December. I'm up $695.30 in just 5 trades. Hard to make money when your a little drop in the bucket. My 401k, I'm sitting on C and SIRI...but I don't count that money since I can't spend it. Years ago, I was playing with $60,000. Lost most of it and spent the rest. So, 1,000% on $3,000 would put me at $30,000. My personal goal is to turn the $3,000 into $8,000 by April. I can see it happening especially since money (buying power) is compounding with each trade. But man...if I made 23% on $60,000. I'd have $13,800 and fly to Cali to go golfing with Morpheus. Just watch...I'll be back up there soon.

I'm in debate today on buying FAZ at $34.25ish. Undecided.

Yesterday I had a chance to jump back in MS at $15.44 and decided I wanted in at $15.40 or less. DOH!!! Would of made another 4.4% Ohhh well. I was going to grab AA yesterday at $9.17 and chickened out.

AA...debating on getting back in. If it hits $9. I'm all in. They pay a DIVY this month I believe.

DNDN...wow...I haven't looked at this stock in years. It hit $54+ last year. Bottom fell out and dropped below $8. Now it jumped yesterday and today to $12ish. No idea where it could get back up to. Maybe $15-20. But its a risky duck for me to play with.

Made some easy money this morning. HMA dropped $2.00+. Grabbed 1,000 shares at $5.00. Then stock dropped to $4.81...kicking myself...then bam!!! $5.22. Sell was set at $5.20. Easy $200.

Taxes suck for us traders. One year, I imported my tax stuff with Turbo Tax and it said I owed $758,000+++ My heart skipped about 12 beats as if I was a deer stuck in headlights. I had 22 pages full of trades. Owed $251,000 with 2 pages left. Was sweating lakes. So nervous and scared. Lucky for me...last 2 pages were trades involving $30,000-70,000 per trade. So I ended up with a small tax return.

Importing didn't import my entry point. Turbo Tax Deluxe vs Premier is a waste of money to buy Premier. Doesn't do anything special for you unless you have an actual business. Always buy the CD. I tried to cheat and skip the CD last year and got stuck buying the program twice. Pissed me off.

Still sitting in the sidelines. $5.50ish now. Glad I didn't pull the short trigger yet. Cover target is $5.25 now. But normally we see a run up then a new low. Here is the run up...but its stuck now. Might pull the $5.50 trigger.

Too chicken. Hit $5.68. I got a better idea. Go back to bed. Can't lose any money doing that.

EK (Public Inside News) The suits come as Kodak unveiled a plan to restructure its business. The Wall Street Journal reported last week that Kodak preparing to seek bankruptcy protection in the coming weeks.

That means possible play down the road when they announce the bankruptcy. Stock is at $0.60. When filed...I'm guessing $0.15-0.18 low. With a bounce to $0.25. Ticker EK Eastman Kodak

CROX will likely be hot Wednesday.

Crocs shares sprinted 5.9% higher to $16.89 as the company estimated fourth-quarter revenue will come in at the high end of its $200 million to $205 million forecast, and that revenue is poised to surpass $1 billion on an annual basis for the first time.

URBN...CEO resigns. Could shake the stock price up a bit Wednesday.

IDIX...Very steep slope. Plenty of room to fall but I think it might be good for $1.00 more.


Take a look at this stock. Interesting find.

STD...Look at the % of DIVY. 12.59%. That is a very high DIVY. Making money, don't understand how they can afford to pay such a high DIVY when it seems like they make about $0.20 after the Divy Payment. Seems reckless to me. Stock was at $12 a year ago and $16 2 years ago.

I really need to take some time and learn more on options. Looked at CROX options but couldn't even begin to pick a starting point of which call to pick. When I played ORCL I think I just got lucky more than skill since it was beaten down so bad. Still working full time too so have to be even more picky, even with a s/l set I'd still like to be able to watch it.

When ever I get some time, I will look over my old posts and see if I can find all the SEASONAL stocks. I can trade like you BooDog. Just would have to use my 401k. Holding SIRI and C in it. C was presplit at $5.40...so after R/S I break even at $54. YUCK!!! I'm close to running with a loss. Its just sucks trading because I have to wait for funds to clear each trade. Can't cheat it anymore. I had it down so good where I 100% of the time owned something. What I would do is: Sell F and buy GM in the same execution. Then no stupid wait time. After a few years of trading like this. ML called and complained because I was buying stock trade "D" before funds "A" cleared. So they fixed my account...I quit using ML. Just loaded up on SIRI and lots of cash and chilled.

But since I don't really care about the 401k. I'll buy that stock.

I was thinking SHORT on JASO at $2.08. Stock ran up quite a bit. Nervous about it...for simple fact its high is lots higher. But it just ran up from $1.40ish. So lots of room to fall. Hmmm....???

How about this play. SHORT IDIX at $13 and cover at $11.50 Friday?

Sold EMKR 1.13 thinking it would continue its pull back. I'm still a newby! Yesterday I told myself if it didn't break 1.20 to bail. Started pulling back and shook me out. Made my green but still wanted back in after the pull back. Even with a low volume it still seems to follow the markets volatility.
Touched 1.20 today. grrr

Flipped ENER today and made 5%

Looking to buy 12,000 shares of TNCC at $0.32 and sell at $0.35 for a 9.375% gain. Almost pulled the trigger yesterday on TNCC at $0.22. Never thought it would hit $0.42 today. This is a play I could get burned big time or make out good. I'd be tempted to buy it and park my butt on it for a few weeks. I'm thinking it will have another run today and hit $0.37 again. Its at $0.3231 right now.

I can't believe how much the market has moved up. I expected Metal stocks to move up but Financials...WOW!!! I almost bought C yesterday as well and figured the market would come down sometime this week. Guess not. Almost feels like you can throw darts and make money on every throw if you hold it over night. Seems like the Euro issue might be resolved for now. So Dow could hit 13,000 in the next couple weeks.

I never bought TNCC TD would not fill my order thank god!!!

Flipped BLRX for a quick $300.

Going for a round 2 on BLRX. Order in for 2,500 shares at $5.45. If filled...my heart will be racing...especially if it would drop. But sell would be $5.70 for another $625 profit.

Would of made money on all 5. But not as much as I did on BLRX. BLRX is red hot today. But I could see it moving up $1-3 more later this week. We will see....but I will not hold over night.
