Yeah I noticed FAZ also Glenn.
Raj-Just hold on your SIRI, they have a good thing going there, and they're bound to come back up.
Glenn, when are your restrictions "lifted"? You've got to be just about of that situation fairly soon aren't you??

TJ, my time is up on March 10th. I am counting the days like a hawk. I get my margin back and no more settled funds restriction. However, although I am making a good money this year, I have grown so sick of this game. They have far too many restrictions on trading. You pick solid companies with great earnings and still get beat down. Then, when you make money you get taxed to the moon.

I'm kind of wondering about FRE,FNM. Seems like a good buy right about now, although they have been low and going down for a while now, not sure what they're going to do...any opinions???

I say they will just keep in their normal rhythms for awhile. SIRI finished below a buck. Delisting or reverse split is coming. An RS would not necessarily be a bad thing though.

I'm really supprised SIRI finished soooo low, it just seemed to keep running through everyones stops....not really value of the stock in my opinion. I read somewhere last week that they valued the stock at $1.10. So what happens with delisting or reverse spliting Glenn?? And why would they be delisted?....just trying to understand things here.

When they reverse split, they basically reduce the number of outstanding shares, which will boost the share price. Kind of like cutting shares in half and doubling the share price. A company needs to be above $1 per share for at least ten consecutive days to remain listed in the NASDAQ. SIRI has not met that requirement. A reverse split is a tricky, but legal way to inflate the share price to meet that NASDAQ rule.

But yet, they've been on the NASDAQ this whole time, haven't they?? Are you saying they would get knocked down to the OTC??

Yes, they have been on the NASDAQ this whole time. Not sure where they would go from there. Probably the NYSE.

I don't know what to think about SIRI. I can't believe it's this low. I was buying the crap out of it a few weeks ago at .85-.87. I don't see a lot of confidence there. I did see a report yesterday that said they just weren't going to do so well in this kind of economy. Although that's just one report. Can't believe all of it, especially when they HAVE grown. I bought it late yesterday hoping for a good bounce, but I just don't see it yet so I got out. Not sure what to tell you Raj. I truely think it will get better, but it might take a litle time for it to get setteled.

SQNM has been going up everyday lately, and now going nuts. They've been raised to a buy from hold. FAZ is starting to look real good, although down again, it wouldn't suprise me if they hit a new low.

Well, it still seems to be falling hopelessly. I would wait until it at least reaches resistance and then load back up. You may have to hold for awhile, probably through a reverse split, and then sell at the height of the next earnings runup.

If I would find the Bank with 100% interests, all of us would go crazy, but 3% a trade Noooo ,???.

OK, IF YOU TAKE $ 10 000( or $ 5,000 in margin account ) and make 3% a trade ONLY, thats $ 300 - $ 20 brokers fee, you are going end up with $280.00 times 50 weeks ,wow thats $ 14,000 profit( 140% ). You make two transactions a week.No worry about brokers restrictions.
And the next year you will start with $ 24,000. First month you are going cross $ 25,000 and you are DayTrader. It takes 12 month only. What do you think?

OK we will try. Just remember 3% a week, not a day or hour.I have second account just for this purpose and it works.
SIRI $ .88 3% of it is $.0267. Todays spread $.82-.89= .07
COIN .99- 3% of it is $ .0297.
Anyone else with help?

I don't know ST. I'd say the probability of Morph playing golf is pretty high. I think R1 is just plain busy with work and family stuff.
I like your thinking on the calculations ST. I run these theories through my head, just about literally, ALL the time. There are definitely swings you can do, but only if that stock remains in the range they are in. (there are, of course, other ways, charts etc..)I'm sure you realize this, I'm just saying. Like a while back FRE was an easy pick because they would go down to about $1.33 and swing up to about $1.44. But look at them now. You have to rethink the whole thing. I'm sure you could possibly apply that theory to a stock, per-week or so, when they are stable and they have been in the same range for a while, maybe a week or more. I was talking with my brother today, and he was applying somewhat of a "random" theory, as in: Pick 7 or so stocks at the end of the day that look "OK". Put tight stops on all of them, the next morning....see what happens. I haven't run this theory, but I'd like to experiment.....Lots of theories, just gotta keep thinking.

I know TJ, it's not easy to make money, but to find stock with 3-5% a week shouldn't be that difficult. Lets try to do it together.I can't spent to much time on line, still have to go to work to make money for my old loses . Greed was my worst enemy.I was looking for 30% gain minimum, ignoring all trading rules. Well ,you pay for it soon or later. Your brother idea of leaving money on the table overnight, I don't know. How does it wok for him?

I will be looking at jumping into FAZ sometime today at its low. It's getting pretty cheap. Will sell around $20.00. Gonna take a more patient approach to this game from now on.

ST, I can see your point and small gains all the time will add up, but it's harder than it seems. Daytrading is a tough game. Investing is even harder right now. The market has re-adjusted to current conditions so we will ebb and flow in this DOW 10000-10500 range for awhile is my thoughts. Until new data comes out and the market is willing to pay more for earnings, it will not move out of that range.

Glenn, Daytrading is OK but you have to get over $ 25,000. You can buy and sell all day. But if you are daytrader with less than $ 25,000 thats the problem.
