I'm liking TTM right now. If that drops down around 8 in the next few days I might get in. I actually wouldn't mind having some it in long term. If I made any profits I'd probably leave it in that.
ODP looks somewhat promising, but usually starts to dip in October...so not sure about that one.

You won't catch me going near anything remotely related to the financials at this point. If you can't short sell them, what's the point?

"The seizure by the government means shareholders' equity in WaMu was wiped out. The deal leaves private equity investors including the firm TPG Capital, which gave WaMu a cash infusion totaling $7 billion this spring, on the sidelines empty handed."
Ouch.
Morpheus- I will have to upload some pictures of some of my other cars from the past, but my most recent was just sold last November- www.rotarykiller.com
I also built a 565rwhp Lexus SC300 Turbo, a 693rwhp Supra Turbo, and I have had 16 MR2s, one of which one the Ultimate Street Car Challenge in 2004 (V6 Swap, supercharged, with nitrous- can be seen at www.turboforum.net/Angel11)- I did not build this one, I bought it completed.
I sold the V6 MR2 and the Supra during my divorce in order to keep my house. I used the leftover funds to build the RX7 in the first link (you can see my daughter on the main page). I have dozens of videos of my Lexus and my Supra, I would just have to put them somewhere if you wanted to check them out.

I see that WM is trading Pre-market for .17 right now. Will it be trading after the market opens or since it is "wiped out" ... will it simply not be traded ?

Couple corrections for you... Vette motor in a 3rd generation RX-7. Yellow car was a V6 Supercharged 2nd generation MR2. My first Supra was white, I will post some pictures/videos at some point when I get around to it. My second one was black, but I never had that one on the road.
BTW, I am holding 730 WM. And I am holding basically my whole account in WB. Honestly, I am going to hold it until I make money or it fails. If I end up broke, then I am straight up done with this.

Yeah good idea. People will freak out most of the day b/c congress is arguing about it, but at the end of the day they will realize the bailout will happen by opening Monday.

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.
Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.
Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife team has $595,000.00.
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college - it'll be there
Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car - create jobs
Invest in the market - capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And, of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ('vote buy') economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.
If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for AIG - liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.
Sure it's a crazy idea that can 'never work.'
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!
How do you spell Economic Boom?
I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than do the geniuses at A IG or in Washington DC.
And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.
Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.
Kindest personal regards,
Birk
T. J. Birkenmeier, A Creative Guy & Citizen of the Republic
PS: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it's either good for a laugh or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $85 Billion!!
