I bought 2000 shares of TMTA this week at 1.57. Sold it at 1.80. That is a great little company - high performance. No debt. Revenue growth. Keep it on your radar.
I hope you got into AVNX yesterday at $2.00, R1Man. It's $2.20 now and it's gonna go higher.
If you can get in GNTA, it's still relatively cheap. Tomorrow they're presenting at Cowen Healthcare Conference. Tuesday they release their 4th quarter and year end financials. I don't think you'll see these prices again for awhile.

I sold CMGI for $500 profit....Jumped into INNO at $0.75. My exit is $0.80-.85
Your GNTA scares me. I believe it will have earnings again but if they don't meet the street, your screwed.

Called this one right....$1.45 close with a high of $1.50 on 3-9-06. It did dip down to $1.31 since the initial post but either way...CASH MONEY!!
UMC...$3.10....looking good for an entry soon.

AVNX upgraded this morning by Raymond James from market perform to strong buy. Hit 2.60 in premarket. As Cramer would say: SHOW ME THE MONEY!
Don't be afraid of GNTA. They couldn't webcast their presentation at the Cowen conference because their attorney advised them not to. The business deal (selling their shares to institutional buyers) still had to be finalized - should happen today.
UMC - I think the price got this low because people are a little jittery with the Asian market right now. Japan's trying to curb it's inflation. The price is good at present but you might be holding for awhile. Don't know for sure.

CHTR.....$1.01 AH. It has lost ground the past few weeks. I'm looking to jumping in Tuesday or Wednesday.
ASIA......did anyone ever buy this....They looked great but after the first post I thought they might lose more ground. Its $4.62 now....WOW.
UBET.....Debating if they have run out of stream yet....Normally in April which isn't far away, they are usually at the anual highs. How much higher could we see....$6.50 would be my high end guess but I think $5.75-6.25 would be about right.
HAYZ.....might be getting close to bottom.....or maybe this is about to crash??? DANA and Hayes Lemmerz are both auto industry stocks....which we all know are doing TERRIBLE except DaimlerChrysler. Hayes Lemmerz filed chapter 11 a few years ago. They exited a 1-2 years ago. LEAR, DANA, DELPHI, TOWER AUTOMOTIVE, VISTEON, (can't remember who else) are all in the auto industry as suppliers and have all filed Chapter 11. Maybe I'm wrong on Visteon but I do believe they did file a while back. Its hard to predict HAYZ bacause of all these supplier going belly up. Take this pick with EXTREME CATION!! It does have HIGH RETURN.....especially if they post positive earnings.
FUEL.....take a look.
EGHT.....VERY EXPLOSIVE!!! Look at the charts....this stock should move down just a bit more than who knows what could happen??? I would load up 1,000 shares sometime soon. I'll post back when I'm dropping in my $1,500-2,000 worth.
CRIS......I believe we are getting very close to bottom. This is a real ROLLER COASTER stock. See what Monday brings but a short run to $2.50 is very likely.

CHTR.......missed out yesterday to get in below $0.90 but its still should move up to around $1.10 within the next week. That is a 11-12% gain.

EGR......interesting. Conference call today after market close to talk about earnings. This one will either dip or jump. If it dips, get ready for a bounce play.

Crap...I typed everything and hit "ESC" by accident and it erased everything I just typed.
INNO.......$0.75-.77 entry. Exit is $0.83-.85.
PLB.......will be crazy today....jumped big time in AH.
FNSR.......picked this 3 months ago....up 238% now....will I had held on to it. (this isn't a pick "DAD").
HIV......RISKY!!! I will drop $1,000 in it if I can get in at $0.18-.19. In the process of getting delisted but any good news could make it jump in the $0.30's.
OLGC.......I think this is a safe bet for a bounce. $2.63. I think we all can make $0.50-1.00 on the bounce.
UMC......$3.25 now. This baby has been pretty good at bouncing lately. It seems like every other week it drops to $3.10 range then the following weeks it hits $3.20 range.
CHTR.....I think this one might drop just a little more but should do ok. Entry $0.90-.95. Exit is $1.05-1.10.

Hey R1, what do you think about Ford? The stock is below $8 right now. Is this a good buy in your estimation?

Amanick......("F" Ford Motor Company).....I would of agreed with your prediction 3 months ago but they seemed to have been holding their own for quite sokme time now. I believe its going back to $8.25 then it will drop back down to maybe $7.50....$7.25 will be the absolute lowest it could possibly go unless they have a disaster. Ford an GM are losing market share and DaimlerChrysler, Honda, Toyoda, Mercedes are picking up the losses. Ford has some risky designs coming out....the SUPER CHEIF.....(Sweet looking truck).....and they have a new car also....forgot the name. But they both look great. Now GM.......they seem to be stuck on old designs. As for DCX.....we have one nasty line-up that is giving the market HELL. This year we have the CHALLENGER (muscle car), dodge caliber (compact car), Ram 3500 commercial duty, a all new line up in europe that I believe will hit our market and they look HOT. The one car has a 1.6 liter engine kicking out 250 HP. Now that is SICK!!! Expect DCX to hit the $70 range this year.
EGHT........gained $0.20 since my post. EGR........jumping in at $0.90.
DAMN DANA.......WTH.....$1.92 now. I HATE U DANA!!!! LOL!

Oh my gosh! What a snooze that CMGI is! Got out with a profit of $20. LOL!
Didn't get in CHTR. I was out this morning and it was too late when I got back. Congrats R1!
I'm eyeing BCON again. It's priced low and they have a mess of presentations coming up in April and May.

Wow...EGR definitely gonna have a nice bounce when it's ready. More than a couple indicators bottoming out...not that it's gonna pop any day soon, necessarily - may still need to consolidate at these lows a bit - but definitely one to watch daily for any signals.

Bought BCON for 1.55 on Fri. It's gone as high as 1.78 premarket today. Don't know why. Something's cooking.

Just Wondering when you buy a stock in a dip and then sell it at a high, again and again. Is that considered a WASH by the IRS? do you get penalized by the IRS for this?

You can avoid wash sales by waiting 31 days before re-buying a stock. In other words, if you sold CHTR on Feb. 14, 2006, you would wait until March 14, 2006 before buying it again.
I believe the penalization by the IRS is that they take a higher percentage of taxes out of wash sales. Maybe someone else who is more knowledgeable on this could share some info.
When you make a wash sale, the disallowed loss gets added to the basis of the replacement stock. If you sell the replacement stock within the same year — and wait at least 31 days before buying that stock again — you wipe the slate clean. You can report all your gains and losses as if the wash sale rule didn't apply, because the only effect of the rule in this case is to move your loss from one transaction to another within the same year.
Example: During most of the year you actively trade XYZ. On December 15 you sell all your positions in XYZ and don't buy any more of this stock until January 15 (31 days later). Meanwhile you enjoy the holidays, and if you get the itch to trade, you dabble in ABC.
Of course you could run into the wash sale rule in your ABC trading, but this arrangement clears the books on any wash sales you have in XYZ. There are a few technicalities to note. First, if you owned XYZ before the start of the year, the wash sale rule could cause some losses that appear to be short-term losses to transform into long-term losses. This method of clearing your wash sales is 100% clean only if you were out of XYZ at both the beginning and the end of the year. Second, it isn't enough to simply stop trading XYZ for 31 days. You have to be out of XYZ for 31 days. If you stop trading while holding a position in this stock, there's no way to tell whether you'll be affected by the wash sale rule without doing an analysis of all your trades for the year.

I got nailed for the WASH rule. I sold a stock for a HUGE loss at $0.035 then bought it back at $0.02 and made 67% more shares but it was listed as a WASH on my 1099. I thought I was being slick so I can claim those losses but instead it showed me making $927. I spent about an hour last night looking up the definition but came up empty.

GNBT took a huge dump today, R1. Was close to $5 and went down to 3.25 or so. They have a cool product where insulin can be administered thourgh an inhaler instead of a needle but the CRAZY climb in price was mostly due to the bird flu hype.
