Big question: Can they give a dividend to those holding certs and not those who hold in street name?
I would think not, but I'm pretty new to this and everything so far doesn't seem like usual Wall Street practices.
I'm just a relayer of info at this point. Yes those are big questions. I'm glad I got some certs on the way but also glad I have quick acces to others... Bummed that when I flipped a little it dipped into my shares I've been holding since FHAL days

the answer is yes. If your shares are held in your brokerage account, then you recieve your dividend in your account. As far as certs go they probably send the dividend to your address on record(where your certs were sent).

You can put almost any stock symbol in there and it gives a dividen date....I think that it is incorrect in assuming that they are giving a dividen date. almost seems the date is for the next fling...try it....put in a different symbol...I put in IGAI...and it showed the date of October 16...but they aren't given a divie...

for everyone that's worried about being on the nobo list which I believe was the big thing for rufus that's how they can find out who you are. I posted a copy of the email I sent to ameritrade. Now I have them on record saying that I am on the nobo list.

10...What I was saying was that I put in GWGO, a stock that I KNEW had a dividend recently and sure enough the system pulled up the info about GWGO and ttheir dividend date. Seemed like a logical test of that system.

Have you put in a stock symbol yet where you know they have not ever given a dividend. It still shows a date.

10, That is a great point... still not sure what to think, The info came from Boho Girl on Paltalk (good creadability) and said that it is new to the site that it was not there yesterday. I hope it's true... Seems that something is up at lest... also a Divi makes a lot of sense to Rufus's end game... Ima

Stockstar69 Yes...but I put in IGAI and AWYB...plus some others and it showed them as having a dividend date...not an amount just a date... I would hope that if you put in one that actually has a divie that it would give you the info... I just don't think that CSHD is getting one...IMO...but hey..I'll take one..

Dividends must be declared (i.e., approved) by a company’s Board of Directors each time they are paid. There are four important dates to remember regarding dividends.
Declaration date: The declaration date is the day the Board of Director’s announces their intention to pay a dividend. On this day, the company creates a liability on its books; it now owes the money to the stockholders. On the declaration date, the Board will also announce a date of record and a payment date.
Date of record: Shareholders who properly registered their ownership on or before this date will receive the dividend. Shareholders who are not registered as of this date will not receive the dividend. Registration in most countries is essentially automatic for shares purchased before the ex-dividend date.
Ex dividend date: Is set by the exchange where the stock is traded, many days (usually two) before the date of record, so that all trades made on previous dates can be properly settled and the shareholder list on the date of record will accurately reflect the current owners. Purchasers buying before the ex-dividend date will receive the dividend. The stock is said to trade cum dividend on these dates. Purchasers buying on or after the ex-dividend date will not receive the dividend. The stock trades ex-dividend on these dates.
Payment date: The date when the dividend cheques will actually be mailed to the shareholders of a company.

It is this statement that bugs me about the CERT deal...Can the company decide what is "properly"?

Doesn't this go back to that rule we were talking about today? Where a TA can get info on all shareholders UNLESS you check that privacy box..

Tha is why rufas said in that interview about that list... You wil ask why am I not on that list?... Remember? So hopefully no one flipped and is in that 3 day waiting don't know if that will cause a proplem maybe that's what he was talking about as far as he wanted long term holders and not day traders etc? my opinion

Transferred the bulk of my stock to Merrill Lynch. The transfer accounts for my ownership of these shares. It's a cash account... I indicated full disclosure on my account. CSHD should be aware of my ownership and have access to my info according to ML.
Oddly enough, when I talked with the manager at ML this afternoon... she seemed very helpful and started talking about the fact that my dividend checks would be going into my ML account... and that I could choose to reinvest the money at that time, invest in other recommended stocks, or take the cash.
I was a little perplexed by this.... considering that I have yet to get any payback on my CSHD shares. She stated that ML was aware of the CSHD "situation".
I didn't go any further with her as I was late for another appointment. It just seemed odd.

from hsm:; I just got off the phone with Stan at DTN Market Access, which provides the data feed for profitspi.com.
He said the data is received from OTCBB and sent directly via feed to their database which is then re-distributed to their vendors (profitspi.com he had never heard of). He looked at the feed directly (not through profitspi.com) and also saw a dividend date of 10/13/2006. He had no explanation why I could not find the dividend data for CSHD on Nasdaq.com or otcbb.com.
