no Republican since perhaps Nixon or before has ever done any real good for this country
funny we agree on that... except Eisenhower. he was a great man and a great president... he started the building of our current interstate hiway system for one....
Nixon was crucified IMO... he shouldn't have covered up what his staff did, but it wasn't so bad that he needed to leave office.. he didn't order them to do it.
what happened after? a disgrace....

Eisenhower didn't do much as a President... as a General he did of course.. but as President... not much to give praise about... but the interstate system is notable... though I would of thought that was more prevalent during FDR's presidency then Eisenhower's... also the U2 being shot down over Russia during Eisenhowers watch wasn't helpful to him but I wouldn't blame that on him... when it comes to spying.. chit happens..

Nixon got what he deserved.. and yes it was bad enough the coverup for him to leave... but he should of had ballz enough to stay and face the music... and if you think he didn't order that or similar things you are being naive my friend...

sadly? all you are doing is giving campaign pointers to the candidates that pander to the xenophobes..
and i know you and i disagree about how to deal with the *undocumented* aliens, but i'm not a xenophobe...
I don't know if your a xenophobe or not but sometimes your words do come out like one.. and no doubt the majority of board members on here are xenophobes... but as for my statement... they are not residing here and are giving their opinions about whom they would like to see as a President here because much like some or all of us the world is reluctant of another Republican president whom will probably be similar to Dubya.. If i had said my friends were Brits, Germans, French etc... you probably would not have made that statement...

i made the statement because Karl Rove played on Xenophobia to get Bush re-elected.. and Romney and Giulianni are already on it..
i can't tell you how many people said that the Terrorists wanted a democrat elected..
as for Eisenhouer? you forgot the Little Rock 9 He placed the Arkansas National Guard under federal control and sent 1,000 U.S. Army paratroopers from the 101st Airborne Division to assist them in restoring order in Little Rock. ..
also? it was the Army that first began true functional integration in America.. i think Ike was part of that too...
