exactly!...He always wears something like that...xmas, family things, gigs, summer, winter..doesnt matter..there's something seriously wrong with him..he's so uncool, yet thinks he's hip.

here's the kinda weirdo I am... I like to compare different versions or "takes" on a given song. For example, Sinatra in one era or with a certain publisher, versus another era or different arrangement; or Stevie Ray's jazz-inflected "Voodoo Chile" versus Jimmi's Townsend-influenced original. OK, here we go:

Cool tune, right? What some might call straight 12-bar blues, but what I would call more a shuffle. Anyway, the singer takes the vocal line down, at the end of the measure.

OK, now here's Marc Cohn, song starts about 1:13:

Notice how measures are s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d, among other changes, but also how the vocal line goes *up*...purdy cool.
