i plink with Volquartsen upgrades on a Ruger 10-22..
i love my Thompson Center contender system... IMO? there's no higher quality machinist work in a mass-produced weapon... i've never found a single "swap out" part that didn't fit perfectly... if you've never shot a high-power rifle load in a pistol? i recomend trying it at least once....
a lot of people don't care for single shot systems, but my motto is make every shot count
Hey Glass...Those Thompson Center contenders are sweet... and as far as the single shot systems, one shot in the boiler room is all it takes...I hunt midwest deer almost exclusively with a smokepole...longer range than a shotgun and extremely accurate.

cold, windy, and lots of snow. nothing for me to do today but stay inside. Kind of bored so i thought id share some pics of it. you cant really tell how much snow is falling in the pictures because the winds are around 40mph some gusts up to 60 so its blowing all over the place. visibility is basically nothing...most of the time you can only see 200 feet at most in front of you.
some places just west maybe 30 min of where i am are expecting up to 3 feet of snow.

Here are some more guns. is this the gun thread? lol
first one....the "ma duce" also known as a .50 cal full auto machine gun. pretty bad ass if you ask me. been in service since WWII so some of your fathers may have used it. it was used a lot on aircrafts over berlin for gunner to shoot down enemy fighters or the luftwaffe. now we use them on humvees.......its pretty nasty but does the job.
second picture is of a 240b which replaced the m-60 machine gun that rambo had which you always see pictures of. its pretty high speed...shoots 7.62 at an alarming rate and also gets the job done. these babies are sweet!

interesting fact: the AK is the most "popular" small-arm in the world, and the inventor, Kalashnikov, never got a dime for inventing it... ain't communism great?
That's not an SVD Dragunov, it's a PKM I believe.
