I really like this thread guys. I think it's a wonderful idea and very dear.
It's so nice of everyone to open up and share what's special to them whether it be family, pets, a favorite car, hobby, or even someone's view of their own back yard.
I also didn't realize we had so many attractive posters here. lol
I've enjoyed looking at all of your pictures and I hope many will continue to post them.

these are "replicas" (my interpretation)of european "pocket flasks" from made from the 1400's to mid 1800's
they are a bit big for a pocket, (maybe more like a saddle bag?)
they would not have highly polished flat bottoms if they are authentic antiques...... i make them with flat bottoms so they can be displayed.... and? of course i am not trying to make replicas just interpreting the work of my predecessors... they cast really nice criss-cross colored shadows...
