Y'all like to argue, let's argue about this:
3. Notice how the preacher begins this section (Therefore, brothers and sisters, holy partners in a heavenly calling, consider that Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession, was faithful to the one who appointed him.). What is the message here? This verse sets out what we sometimes call the “marks of the church,” in other words, this verse talks about what makes the church “the church.” Two of those marks are found in this verse and one more in verse 6.

"How about your posting your obsessive thought processes, your persistent fixation with staying on this board and continual posting to the displeasure of most?"
Actually none of my thought processes demonstrate obsession. The appearance of compulsivity is simply the effort to answer all of your fan mail.
What is laughable is the statement last week about NPD give in the professional examinations all pastors undergo prior to entering ministry. See, we do have professionals here that do that sort of eval in three day evaluations.
But what do they know, right? After all they met me in person, you have a much better evaluative process on the internet right?
Now back to the thread topic:
In chapter 1 the parabola points to the confidence we have, in spite of an ever changing world, because Christ sustains the world in spite of our best efforts. In chapter 2 the parabola points to the hope we have because Jesus came down and took on our fallen-ness. Here beginning in chapter 4:14-16 the parabola points to prayer. Now as we read this how does the preacher expect us to pray? This isn’t JUST a call to prayer what is Christian prayer to look/sound like? Why can we pray like that?

Alright boys.... why does everybody have their panties in a bunch. We get it Glassman, your boys can say anything tey want and you won't do anything. What point exactly are you trying to prove? Is this still the game where you are trying to get Griff off topic for the rest of the day? This is ridiculous. If you guys are so insecure you can't let somoene post an opinion, aNy opinoon contrary to yours, on a thread than what does that say about you? What pitiful lesson are you trying to teach with this lame attempt?
You wanna pull the thread, pull the thread.

Hard to take anything seriously from a guy who has the gall to call himself "The Duke", lol.
Sorry pally, no one gets to nick name themselves The Duke, of all things. You earn that one.

If you actually don't understand how you are being insolent, just take that fact into consideration, for that, my friend, taking into account your supposed level of education, is hyper-insolent.
Let's put it in real simple terms:
You are a 100% arrogant ass.
Why, you ask?
Because you actually believe you are justified in deciding that you can come here and straighten us out.
We don't need or want your version of the world to dominate our discussions, so go cut and past your garbage elsewhere or appologise and stop being a jerk.

What it comes down to bro, as Glass said earlier, is that they feel Christians don't fit into this board. Bad history. All the more reason for me to stay and work to change that sentiment.

actually? i think you have a problem here...
you'd never do this in person... it wouldn't work... this is kinda sad really...
hope you never have kids... for their sake...If you were raised by a narcissistic parent, then you've been taught that the narcissist is always right and you're the one who's wrong. A lifetime of such mistreatment typically instills lack of confidence in your own judgment, along with habitual shame at never getting it right or being good enough to deserve the air that you breathe. The children of narcissists may not have realized that the quirks and oddities of their impossible-to-please parents are not in any way unique or special but are in fact the symptoms of a personality disorder.

What are you going to do about Bdgee moderator? I have seen person after person complain about Bdgee, what are you going to do? I am asking nicely, what does it take for Bdgee to be disciplined?

Yes we know bdgee, you can use racial slurs and no monitor on the board will run you, you can use profanity and no one will run you, but if I use .08% of the thread space for Christian conversation, everyone is upset. Look I understand the rules and that's fine by me. But the Christian witness is going to stay.

nothing from you... you have plainly stated your intent is to mess with him..
off-topics is very lightly moderated it takes a lot to get action here, as you have already learned...
read the users agreement...it is TOTALLY subjective...LOL

I honestly am mystified at what your macabre fascination is with my threads. If you can't stand me, if you do not like the way I present, why do you insist on entering the thread and reading. Isn't that a little masochistic? Or is it sadistic, I get those mixed up?

Yeah that makes no sense Glasman. I play the stocks and you are not making the slightest sense. A guy is posting on his own thread, on an off topic board, is not seaking anyone out who doesn't agree, tells you what he is going to do, you as moderator make no effort to correct him, and he is supposed to be learning a lesson?

you are right: you make no sense...
so what?
it makes no sense for griffon to come here and antagonise people which you and he both agree that you do, then say you don't
that makes no sense... LOL
so what?

Leo- What the heck are you talking about with nicknames? People give themselves nicknames when they sign up here no? That's just goofy. No apology needed. What do you think Glassmans real name is? Glass Man? Bdgee is Bd Gee?

there are obviously mental health issues here...
Yep...comes down to ignoring it...not challenging it...
mental issues? Don't know if I agree with that...seems most have "issues" of some sort...
Griffon..if you are here to preach and nothing else...not sure that allstocks is the best place for you IMO However...you have "challenged" some people to think...maybe you can now consider your work here done...and move on to the next board?
(Some times it is better to "touch" a few than to piss everyone off...)
Those are my thoughts..and I am now done with this thread...Amen!
Geeze...stupid me, couldn't leave well enough alone... said I was done with this thread...and had to read it one more time... OK Glass... Sounds like "they" are out to save us all... I for one am quite comfortable that I do not need to be saved... Nor to I believe that God or Jesus or any "greater being" feels that "this" is how it should be done... Ya'll can post back and forth on the subject... no one will come out ahead... no one will win the fight... only anger/frustration will be spewed And more dislike for the "Holy roller"... That is not "God's work"...or the work of mankind...IMO..it would be more of the devil's work... Congrats Griff(and others involved)...perhaps the devil's work is done in people such as yourself...
I swear to God...last post on this thread...
buh~bye!

Look gang, all the amateur psychologizing, the jab at my sexual orientation, talking about my parents, hey that last one is way out of the bounds of decency but it's said to get a rise out of me. It's all a joke designed for me to stay off topic so let's return:
In 5:1-10 the preacher begins to expand on an idea hinted at in 2:17 and 3:1: Jesus is THE High Priest. How does the preacher describe the role of the high priest? How is the traditional high priest different from the high priesthood of Jesus? Who is Melchizedek? Why does the preacher use this non-Israelite priest as a comparison for Jesus? We will hear more about this mysterious person in chapter 6-7.
What's it called when a topic is presented, questions are presented and people refuse to engage the topic? Let's come back to the topic folks. I have kept my promise to Glass today and I will continue to do so.

I have not seen any of what you are complaining of, but if it is there, what is wrong with any of that?
It is the exact form you and bubba use to attack others.

You all, this is just plain ridiculous, you would fight to the death for a stretch of road you can easily ride around. And for what? Is this place not fun to you? Can we not sit down together and have fun debating? That I have limited myself to two threads, .08% of the thread topics if no more were ever allowed, is not enough to you? Then I weep for the direction this country is going.
A week ago you were all on the other side of the fence. You were supporting one person who said threads were under attack by harassers. But now that a Christian is the thread poster, not even reaching into the other threads, you reverse course. That's very telling about what your motives are, I mean if I were an amateur psychologist.

Boys you ain't even scratched the surface of my patience. I can dish and take, you boys just get mad too easy. What's really funny in all this is you all think I take this stuf seriously. It's a pastime to me. I do this while writing a ****, painting, nearly sleeping. You know the dead obvious sign that you're getting upset? Is when you start saying I'm upset.
"It is the exact form you and bubba use to attack others."
You run along now bdgee and find exactly where I have done that in the last week since I promised Glass. Find exactly where I've entered into any other thread and offered any criticism. I went to the Hobbies thread put two cents worth in, and offered up an apology to you all. So since what you are suggesting it does not exist since after I promised Glass I would not do so, I'll be waiting for your apology. Note in that I made the apology without concommitant agreement and did not assume assent.
