that is a good idea I am all for a second baby Q.

the other thought was forming a private chatroom for only the Q family. we could then continue on with stock picks chats and others things. just an idea. I will second your motion if noone likes my idea lol.

QTV confirms new Gay Games contract
Friday, December 3 2004, 23:15 GMT -- by James Welsh

US-based Q Television Network has confirmed that it has negotiated the broadcast rights to the 2006 Gay Games in Chicago.

"This is a major contract for Q Television," said Frank Olsen, the network's president and CEO. "The Gay Games is a monumental event for the Gay and Lesbian community and we are thrilled to be the only television network to have an exclusive contract. We look forward to telling the stories of these amazing athletes to our viewers."

The Gay Games VII will be held on July 15 to July 22, 2006.

Q Television is carried on the RCN cable operator in New York, Boston, and San Francisco, and plans to expand its availability by gaining carriage on digital satellite.

The satellite thing is very interesting. I posted a thread about Sirius about a month ago letting everyone know that I had some inside info that SIRI would be announcing sometime in the next 3 months that they will be able to deliver 8 video channels over their current satellite signal. Also, that would fit with the rumors we have heard lately about a contract between Q and SIRI.... Give me a few minutes and I'll find an article that came out recently about it.....

Q seems to be getting more together than the mms can put the clamps on so i think there will be several periods of 3-4 day beta for awhile. good for a core position plan and a swing trade position plan.

this may be answered further on, as i am playing catch up with the allstocks posts, but is the music program on as planned? i think a series of performance as stated will do wonders for Q's image among investors. i have held and traded this from way back when diana and many others knew me as someone who "traded hard but was a gentleman".

glta amigos. this could be a lobster dinner for a few pennies.

That wasnt even a dignified question...lol

Your question implies that gay peoples entertainment is limited to drag shows and gay bars....NOT

Did you think that maybe gays are interested in gay movies, gay comedies, gay news, travel, INTERACTIVE Qlive....and the other gay specific programming offered by Q?
I think it would be safe to say that ALL gays own and watch tv. It would also be safe to say that MOST subscribe to premium channels like HBO. EVERY gay person I know LOVES Sex in the City. When they are with friends they all talk and laugh about it together. Imagine them doing the same for a show only on QTN....
Do I think that gays will stop going out to bars and shows...NO....but when they feel like sitting at home and watching TV they will watch the programming that they can relate to... and that's where I think a gay network ( QTN ) would fit in perfectly.
I know this question wasnt directed at me but I thought the need to chime in.

Took me only a few seconds to get my confirmation email

Excellent response Poot. I don't know if you still want to but go ahead and resond yourself Dakota.

The only thing I can add to strengthen your response Poot Poot, is that they need to look at television like a heterosexual. You would think, who wants to spend money on a television channel that is nothing but cars turning left or right for an entire race? Nascar. In fact there are some ridiculous premium programs that allow you to watch the same race from several different in car cameras on different channels. Yet it's still just a race with people turning left the entire time. I'm not bashing it because I, in fact, know how to appreciate Nascar and have attended several races in person.

My point is you will always find someone to watch your show if their lifestyle is represented in the programming. Who would have thought fishing channels, Golf channels, and any other topic specific channels would make it.

The biggest example I can think of to show you why a GLBT network needs to arrive are all the religious channels. Your arguement would say, "Why don't they just go to church, temple, etc., and pray themselves." Yet there are four religious channels on the Dish Network alone.

As was said earlier, your question is a poor one. As long as someone connects with the lifestyle presented on QTN, they will watch and pay to watch it. Matt
