This brokerage sounds very disadvantageous. Can you put stop/losses on your positions? Can you at least sell off your positions with a Market order if the stock starts tanking? If not it sounds more for "investing" and not "trading". About the only good thing you told me about this firm is it stops you pink sheet junkies from buying cr*ap. [Roll Eyes]

dead on mach.. we have no such great provisions such as stop loss, so on and so forth.. thats what restricts me from putting my money in a variety of stocks which might make big moves.. I use two filters as m main sources of finding out stocks.. make sure analysts have ranked the stock well, make sure the company has excellent profitable quarters and has provided good guidance for quarter and only then put my money in the stock.. seems like lot of work.. but not really since i play same stocks repeatedly based on their charts..

the two filters i use are..
Show stocks where close crossed above upper acceleration band(20)within the last 3 days and 55 day slope of EMA(55) is above 0 and 13 day slope of EMA(13) is above 0 and average volume(90)is above 50000 and draw IFT(5,9)draw ema(10)draw EMA(50)and close is below 50

close is above 0.75
60-day slope of close is above 0
Draw Williams %R(7) line at 0
sort column 8 ascending
average volume(90)is above 30000
offset 0-days

/* NORMALIZE accumulation distribution */

set{adval, INDPOSITION(accumulation distribution, 60) * 100 }

/* NORMALIZE RSI(7) */

set{rsval, INDPOSITION(RSI(7), 60) * 100}

/* NORMALIZE CCI(7) */

set{ccval, INDPOSITION(CCI(7), 60) * 100 }

/* NORMALIZE williams %r(7) */

set{wrval, INDPOSITION(williams %r(7), 60) * 100 }

/* DRAW THE MP CCIWLR CHART */

and draw wrval
and draw adval on plot wrval
and draw rsval on plot wrval
and draw ccval on plot wrval

add column adval
add column ccval
add column rsval
add column wrval

adval has been above 80 the last 1 month
adval is above 75
wrval is below 50

adval has been increasing 1-day
ccval has been increasing 1-day
rsval has been increasing 1-day
wrval has been increasing 1-day [/QB]

Yup.. too much work lol KISS (Keep it Simple Silly) ....

lol...

please define "window trades."

ahhh, yes...I see now. Thanks, mach...

Looking at that? I doubt I'd be interested. Although... I *can* see the practicality. Alas, not for me...good info, though.

lol * mac.. I spend about 1 hr a day to find out the outperforming stocks !!! and then 1 hour (9:45-10:00,12:15-12:30,2:45-3:00) checking out the ticker to guess the movement of the stocks that I am interested in buying and selling.. 2 hours a day of work seems tedious and I seem to be earning minimum wage during those hours [Smile] ..

It probably will pay off when your capital starts to add up. I have soooo much TA to learn before I could even attempt what you are doing, but keep posting, this is very educational.

"1000 in 150 days"

Well thats almost 6 months. It can be done.
Takes great patience to make a $ in the market.
Or so I've learned.

Yeah you do have to spend alot of time in front of the computer.

btw another thing I;'ve learned, someone told me never chase a "cheeta" and dump your "snails"

He's soooooo right.

got out of zumz except $100 in the morning at 31.93.. looks like earnings are excellent.. if it rallies tomorrow i will get some profit because of my $100 in these.. if shares slump then I might end up losing $4-$5. VDSI.. up by 10 cents to 12.10. got out of mrvc at 3.31. will add tomorrow in morning session.. it should rally tomorrow in 3.4's IMO.. bought $200 worth of SKS and VIVO instead.. they both look decent.. grow has made another strong move today.. if it sees red day tomorrow.. I shall buy some GROW EOD tomorrow..

it doesnt matter paul.. its all in %. 2-3% profit and sell.. and buyandhold allows you to buy partial shares.. lke 2.34 shares.. like i bought sks at 20.12.. i will sell it for gain anywhere between 3-5% around 20.60-21.50! its in %.. not absolute money since it is $0 commisions.. meanwhile bought grow at 42.998, gmcr at 44.09..
