Grand Entertainment & Music, Inc. Announces Qbanito's Festival Success
7:00a ET March 6, 2007 (Market Wire)
Grand Entertainment & Music, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: GMSC) is pleased to announce Qbanito's performance at the "Le Festival Montreal en Lumiere" last Friday night was a huge success.

In front of more than 2,000 people, in -40 degree weather, Qbanito lit up the main stage at the 8th edition of "Le Festival Montreal en Lumiere" (The Festival of Lights). Forgetting about the bitter weather for a moment, fans danced and sang along with Qbanito as the Old Port of Montreal transformed into a hot Caribbean party. The Hydro-Quebec "Festival Montreal En Lumiere" is a two weekend long outdoor celebration featuring non-stop entertainment and festivities. The Port of Montreal is lit up with thousands of lights for this winter event, as people from all over come out to enjoy the activities despite the frigid Canadian winter weather.

Headlining this major show was an exclamation point on a great week for the GEM artist. Qbanito began the week with an interview with Nathalie Petrowski, a writer for La Presse. Petrowski wrote a magnificent profile and article about Qbanito that was published last Saturday. Later in the week, Qbanito was interviewed by Music Plus, Canada's version of MTV. The interview took place in the snow, atop of Mount Royal in Canada where Qbanito got the chance to plug his much anticipated follow up French album; as well as his performance at the Festival of Lights.

"I attended the festival this weekend with Pierre Gendron from TOX Records, and I have to say we were both extremely pleased with Qbanito's performance," stated President Fred Berlin. "I don't know how he did it, but in 40 below weather, Qbanito managed to set the stage on fire with his performance. It was impressive to watch over 2,000 people sing along to every song he performed. It was just absolutely amazing to watch the connection between Qbanito and the fans. I am very proud of him."

Based in Montreal, Canada and incorporated in November 1998, the Company is an independent music entity that produces, promotes, markets and controls the copyrights on music recordings in multiple formats. Additionally, The Company's multi-million dollar studio, Cherry Studios, has produced voice-overs and sound tracks for commercials and film. In addition, Cherry Studios has also produced thousands of recordings and has to its credit a total of 23 gold and platinum albums. GEM has recently found success in the reggaeton market with its signature artist, Qbanito. Qbanito's debut album has already generated a #1 hit in Canada and is currently being marketed by Universal Music in Europe. Grand Entertainment also controls exclusive rights to vast catalogues of previously unreleased recordings from Cuban music archives. In November 2006, Grand Entertainment acquired half of Lost City Records, adding a half dozen award-winning artists, including rising rap star Big Lou, and a 500+ song catalogue to Grand's existing assets. In addition, the company will continue to focus on growth through acquisitions over the next twelve months in an effort to reach its mission of becoming a premier production, recording, publishing, and internet distribution company.

From GMSC Website:

Grand Entertainment & Music, Inc. Offers Update on Company
I would like to offer an update to all investors on the status of our current projects, as
well as give insight into future plans and endeavors.
Let me first begin by sharing some observations and making a few comments concerning
the music industry as a whole. The entire entertainment business has changed
dramatically over the last few decades. The internet has significantly altered the means
in which record labels market and distribute artists. Success is no longer measured by the
number of albums sold, but instead by demand and exposure in other venues such as ring
tone purchases and concert ticket sales.
As a result of the direction that the internet has taken the music industry, it became
necessary for us to improve our internet presence. For the last few months, consultants
and web technicians have been hard at work, redesigning, enhancing, and updating the
company website. The new site is viewable at the original web address www.gmscinfo.
com. The updated site offers a much improved investor relations section with real
time stock quotes, company news and charts as well as artist bios, and information about
the acquired record label, Lost City Records. Also featured on this new site are links to
artist web pages and portals to purchase CDs and itunes
As anyone that follows our company knows, Grand Entertainment has put a lot of time
and money behind our two major artists, Qbanito and Big Lou. As with most artists in
this tough and demanding industry, things started out slowly; however; 2007 is already
showing great signs of promise for both stars. Big Lou has become a major topic of
discussion throughout the rap industry. He is selling out showcases, and has caught the
attention of some of the biggest executives and rappers in the industry. Qbanito’s French
album is currently being sold throughout Francophone Europe, and continues to do well
in Canada. Qbanito’s much anticipated follow-up album is due out in stores some time in
May. The company is extremely proud of these artists, and we appreciate all of their hard
work and talent. Grand will continue to market and support them as they further their
careers and add to their success.
.
In order for the company to have the needed resources to carry on with these projects and
pursue new ones, Grand is continuing the funding from last year. These resources will be
earmarked for the stated continuation of artist development, company growth and
acquisitions, and to satisfy past bills and debts. If the company is in need of more money
at the end of this funding, we will look into other means of financing such as a sale of
assets and/or traditional loans.
I realize that the decrease in stock price is a major source of concern for our shareholders.
We here at Grand have felt the drop in the stock price along with everyone else, and we
are truly making every effort to increase value for our investors. We realize that raising
money with equity in the market is often unpopular with shareholders. Being mindful of
that, we have never taken the decision to pursue funding lightly. As a publicly traded
company we have a responsibility to our shareholders to build our company and to work
towards success in our industry. We would be remiss if we did not do everything in our
power to further the careers of Big Lou and Qbanito. These are two young and very
talented artists that are each on the verge of breakthrough years that could launch their
careers for decades to come.
Another question that has come up quite often has to do with the company buyout offer
that we turned down last November. Some shareholders have expressed concern that we
did not accept that offer. Others have asked if in retrospect we regret not selling the
company at that time. These are both very good questions that I am eager to address.
After extensive due diligence, we felt that the proposed buyout company was not a good
fit for Grand. Having a lack of music industry experience was a huge factor in our
decision behind turning down the buyout proposal. Although we did not take the offer,
we did meet a great contact for other endeavors.
We value and appreciate every single one of our company’s shareholders. As always, we
encourage you to call or email our investor relations department with any questions,
comments or concerns that you may have.
Sincerely,
Fred Berlin

I still think this thing will have its run sooner or later . At the current levels , the price can pretty much only go up from here unless they give us a major screwing with a R/S . Its definately worth throwing a couple of hundred into as a lottery play if nothing else .

news!!!!!!!!!!!

Grand Entertainment & Music, Inc. Offers Summer Outlook

I would like to take this opportunity to provide all of our investors with an update on current projects, and present a forecast for the summer months.

Qbanito is kicking off the summer with the release of his much anticipated follow up French album Mauvais Accent. “Guantanamera”, the first hit off of this new album has already been released on Canadian radio stations, and the video is set to be released on Music Plus, Canada’s version of MTV, next week. Qbanito has a full plate in front of him these coming months. Aside from the several shows and club performances he has booked through August, Qbanito will be performing at the Canadian Sunfest in July. Sunfest is Canada's premier summer festival of the global arts, featuring over 25 top world music, dance and jazz ensembles. The GEM artist was also invited to perform at Quebec’s Miss Hawaiian Tropic contest this August (This performance has not yet been confirmed). Qbanito’s first album Partir is still doing well on the Francophone charts in Europe, and a European summer tour is currently being negotiated through our contacts at AZ/Universal France.

Big Lou is full steam ahead, starting off his summer with a performance at Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2007 at Giant Stadium this weekend. This concert is one of the biggest shows in the tri-state area. Other performers at this year’s event include Lil’Wayne and Birdman, Diddy, Ne-Yo, Young Jeezy, Mims, and Keyshia Cole. Later on this month, Big Lou will be performing at GreekFest 2007. This annual festival on the Eastern Seaboard plays host to more than 30,000 visitors. Past performers at this event include Lauren Hill, Busta Rhymes, Diddy, Ashanti, and Wyclef Jean. Aside from these shows, Lou currently has eight other shows booked through August. His record sales and popularity in the rap industry continue to grow here in the States as well as throughout the international music community. Requests for Lou’s collaborations off of his first mixtape “Playtime Is Over” have come from as far as Japan, Norway, and Germany. Big Lou’s second mixtape under DJ Kay Slay’s Street Sweepers label is due out in five weeks. It is no secret that Big Lou’s decision to sign on with DJ Kay Slay’s label was in fact a monumental step in his professional music career. Slay’s connections and influence have bolstered Lou’s career and status in the industry, and perhaps even more so now that DJ Kay Slay has been named as one of the ten most influential people in music by NY Magazine.

I could not be more pleased with the hard work, dedication, and determination of our young artists. The entire Grand Entertainment staff and family have been hard at work these past spring months. I am delighted to announce that the funding is over, and we can return our focus to marketing, sales, and daily operations. I appreciate the patience and support of each and every one of our shareholders. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our investor relations department at IR*gmsc-info.com.

This shows current Share Structure and is the source of the above letter to shareholders.

Now that the company is finished with it's 504 funding, I believe this has a chance for a nice run.

Yep I'm holding a few million and just waiting. I think we will see some movement next week.

MM's probably still have a good supply from the 504 so just keep an eye on them. They will let it run hard and fast when they so decide.

Big Lou-Back To Basics Tuesday June 5, 2007, 9:23
By Cy Young

He’s been busy getting his weight up but Tastemaker.Biz caught up with Street Sweepers Entertainment latest signee, Big Lou. With the streets anticipating his mixtape Play Time Is Over the up and coming MC sheds light on how he plans to make his impact in hip-hop.

You creating a fan base for yourself but for those not familiar with you why should they lend you their ears?
My style is original it’s that real hip-hop none of that watered down sh*t, everybody is out there following trends but my music is something refreshing to the ears, it’s real hip-hop that a lot n*ggas wanna listen to cuz a lot of n*ggas miss that sh*t that’s why they need to lend that ear.

What’s going on with your mixtape?
Hopefully it will be drop this week, Play Time Is Over. N*ggas need to check that out so they can hear where I’m at with it as far as versatility, concepts, and storytelling.

What kind of concepts you coming with that people should expect?
It’s stories on the mixtape that’s coming from different angles that people won’t even expect, it’s back to that original sh*t, they gonna think that they listening to a Pac or Biggie album. I’m gonna refresh their memory of when hip-hop was real and I’m gonna take them on a journey

Who do you have featured on the mixtape?
I did a joint with Busta, I got Joell Ortiz on there – we did a crazy joint called “Latin Assassins.” I got a crazy joint with Sheek Louch; I also did a joint with a legend in the game – Jeru The Damaja, that was an honor doing a track with him. Other cats that I’ve worked with are Darnell McClain, also shout to all the producers like Much More, G-Force, Yes Seth, and F.R.E.A.K.

How is your relationship with Kay Slay?
It’s good man, that’s the big homey right there. It’s an honor getting co-signed by that n*gga, working with him sharpens me up as far as getting my studio sh*t tighter, me and him work real good together and we knocking out joints.

You come from Camden, NJ – one of the toughest ghettos, how does that experience come into play when you’re recording music?
I express what I lived through in that booth but like I always say man I don’t glorify the streets, I’m glad I’m here today. I went through a f*cked up life like a lot of hood n*ggas went through but I’m here to spread my gospel with the music, know what I mean?

No doubt. A lot of people can’t really deliver when performing, word is your stage show is ill; can you speak on that a little bit?
I love the stage man, it’s like when a little n*gga that’s hungry and he gets his first package he gonna sell that package to eat you know what I’m saying? That’s how I am for the stage, I wanna take over that sh*t. I want n*ggas to know and respect that I come from the grind. I’m gonna show you my grind, I’m gonna make you feel my blood, sweat, and tears when I’m on that stage. A lot of n*ggas don’t do that everybody wrapped up on looking pretty and they wanna show their little tight a-- cloths and dress like a white boy you know with the rock sh*t, I ain’t with that gay sh*t. I’m giving you real hip-hop straight gutta sh*t people gonna feel it and I’m gonna rock that muthuf*cking crowd.

So what’s a typical day like for you?
Right now it’s busy but it’s all good. I’m constantly in the studio; I’m just on the grind. I also keep myself grounded in the community taking care of my kids and my little n*ggas that are in the hood, they look up to me to me out there, it’s a hand full but I take care of things.

The market today is not lyrically driven, as an artist does that worry you?
I always been a big dreamer and a big believer. Me being lyrical, my mind travels and I think I could be the first lyrical dude to go triple platinum or some sh*t, you know what I mean?

Right.
I got a lot of confidence man, the main thing is the same way the south n*ggas – and I don’t got nothing against the south but the same way they find their niche to get on the radio, I feel as me being a east coast cat I can find my own little niche and I could make it crazy with my songs on the radio without crossing over but yet still keep it hood like back when you heard tracks on the radio like the “Juicy” track which was a straight street track that Biggie did, but they had to play it on the radio cuz it touched too many people, so I feel I could make records like that - I don’t get intimidated by nothing.

In closing you have anything you would like to say or anybody you wanna shout out?
Shout out to my peoples Kay Slay, Grand Entertainment, Frank my partner, the whole Lost City Records, all the fans that appreciate good music, all my n*ggas they know who they

Hey Mathis, I can onkly speculate as to why they haven't PR'd the shareholders letter. I haven't talked to anyone from the company or read anything that explains why.

But, I do know that Qbanito's second album is due to be released with in the next week and Big Lou also has a mix tape with some big names in the Rap game due out around the same time. I suspect that the company will put our a PR that covers all of this at the same time. If they do, it should create huge interest and we should see the PPS begin to move north.

Keep in mind that it takes time once a company annouces the end of a 504 financing before it actually can be seen in the PPS. There are usually some shares still out there that haven't hit the market so I'd give it about a week before something happens.

I see this as a good point to accumilate which is what I have been doing,

Good Luck
Wally

I see. Its probably better to release everything at once, so new investors can see all the good things coming up.
I have been accumilating too, trying to avg down while I can.
Some very low volume today. Hopefully that means the 504 funding is finished completely or near it. GL

Hey Wally, why havent they PR'd that info on their website? Thats good news! I emailed them and hopefully they will respond. I will post if they do.

Good Luck
Wally

Grand Entertainment & Music, Inc. Announces Success of New Song Release
Thursday June 14, 11:22 am ET

MONTREAL--(MARKET WIRE)--Jun 14, 2007 -- Grand Entertainment & Music, Inc. (Other OTC:GMSC.PK - News) is pleased to announce that the first single off of Qbanito's follow up French Album has fans asking for more.
Approximately two weeks ago, "Guantanamera," the first release off of Qbanito's new album "Mauvais Accent," entered the Canadian Club Charts. After one week on the charts, the song was at number 49. Qbanito is slowly working his way up the charts as this past week "Guantanamera" reached number 38. The song was delivered to Canadian radio stations last Tuesday, and is set to hit airwaves sometime this week. The video for the new song has been delivered to Music Plus (Canada's version of MTV), and is currently awaiting approval from the station's approval committee. In the meantime, fans can catch a glimpse of the new video on Qbanito's website: www.Qbanito.ca.

"A lot of people in Canada are talking about this new song," stated Raul Cuza, Qbanito's manager. "This song is a part of Qbanito's heritage. He wanted to create a personalized tribute to his culture while embracing the significance and history behind the song. Judging by the crowd responses and club requests, I think we could have another hit like 'Maria' on our hands."
