Member Rated: posted November 08, 2006 19:26 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This was AWYB. After a manditory cert. change and new cusip # we are now HVLN. With a O/S 15,623,807 a float of 3 to 6 million we have 11million short. This is going to be very fun folks, get on board if you can! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posts: 192 | From: Atlanta Ga. | Registered: Apr 2005 | IP: Logged |

Repo, this stock was AWYB. On Sept 12th they did a 5000:1 reverse split that got screwed up a la JPHC/PAIV. The CEO decided that there was still a huge short position and so he pulled all certs for AWYB and merged with Harvard Learning Centers. The stock has not been trading for about 2 weeks as the certs were pulled and counted, and the number of new certs requested were compared to the total float. Apparently there is 11 million short and the float is somewhere around 3 million.
Take it for what it's worth, but I've been holding this one since Sept 12th and think tomorrow will be a good start to a short squeeze.

CEO Don Platten, good job, but what ever happened to the dividend we were supposed to get. I had over 40Mil at that time and never have received anything, neither has anyone else. Hmmm, also, was wondering why you NEVER took my calls, returned my calls or e-mails? Although you deleted most before reading, I caught onto you and snuck a few in with subject headings that you thought were potential customers, but then deleted after you read them. GL to all that are here trying to make bank, but BEWARE of promises, from one who has been there and back.

I think you should take his advice...
Time2drum and others, like myself, were burned by this scam before. Ain't gonna do it again. Mr. Platten is taking advantage of the current "crazy shorting" trend. New trick, same old dog...

this was Dons Email to all of us on his list:
Dear Shareholders,
Here's an update: We just got notified today by the State of Florida that the merger is approved. We have been in contact with our market makers and NASDAQ trying to get a new symbol as quickly as possible. Our market makers are discussing the matter with NASDAQ as we speak. Hopefully, they will be able to get a new symbol today. Under the worst case scenario, if NASDAQ remains obstinate, it may insist that we first file a 15C 2 11 under the newly merged company, THE HARVARD LEARNING CENTERS, INC. Of course, if we have to do that, it will take time but it's the only effective way to deal with the shorts.
After going through this process and dealing with the time, the expense and the aggravation, I can understand why the shorts almost always win. But this time it will be different; let's see who has the last laugh.

that came yesterday. Don is doing an Awesome job! I think he is trying very hard to make good by the shareholders. He seems very sincere in the effort.

yeah, he really made good when he took my millions of shares of AWBV and turned them into hundreds. He also made good on the divvy's I will never see. He also...
All stocks should be look upon as a chance at a roll with the dice, you can limit you chance of a lose by studing the players or DDing the company and it's players, but there will always be that tiny bit of information that is unknown.
Hinch the chances for a lose. Play the hype, take some profit where avaliable and move on.
Every company, this year which has tried to so call corner the shorts and create a squeeze has been left to lick its wounds and try try again.(PLNI,CSHD etc.....) So far with this I'm up a thin might, but will dump at the first desent run on any kind of hype.

Hmmm, then where are all our dividend shares that he promised for those of us that were in AWYB?

Definitely not a scam in the traditional sense. Could be a scam in that the CEO is full of it and thre is no short position and a lot of us will be holding the bag...
Really though, the float was 2.8 million and on Sept 12th there were like 38 million shares traded. Many people (myself included obviously) don't think the short position is nearly straightened out and we're just waiting patiently for the covering to begin in ernest.
New symbol was listed on OTCBB.com daily list yesterday but seems like no brokers have updated it yet, so it's not trading. Should be tomorrow I would think. Watch to see how it performs out of the gate, I think there will be a lot of buying pressure, even if it just comes from people like me looking to add to their positions and not short covering.
You never know though.

skip and others, I can't say I blame you for your feelings. But honestly, if everyone stayed away from CEOs that screwed people we'd all be trading only big board stocks (and not even many of those...)
Given the concerns voiced by you and others, I have watched this very closely for signs that this is a bunch of BS, but the things that I see all point towards an imminent short squeeze.
If I am wrong, I lose my money, and it won't be the first or last time. If I am right I stand to make a good deal.
I certainly wouldn't hold this long term under the assumption that the company will have long term value, and I don't think anyone else is either.
thanks for the info though, I am one of the rare few taht always welcomes negative DD to keep us all from falling into a cult-like only see the positives transe.
