Epicus Communications Group, Inc. (EPCG) announced today it has named Kenneth Koller, a 39-year telecommunications industry professional and formerly Epicus Communications' General Manager, as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Koller previously held general management positions with ITT-CS, General Dynamics Communications, Telephone Company of Central Florida, KMC Telecom, Inc., and CLECNET Services of Central Florida. He founded Southeast Business Communications and the National Technical Assistance Center in 1985 and 1991, respectively, and served as CEO and President.
Koller's initial focus as COO includes a product launch in January 2007 of two VoIP Internet phone service plans to business and residential customers and the completion of prior reorganization measures directed at narrowing operating costs and expenses.
Epicus Communications' CEO, Mark Schaftlein said, "Ken has an extensive industry background and understanding of new business and regulatory trends in our markets. His insight will prove invaluable to our executive management team in areas such as resource allocation and directing growth initiatives."
"I look forward to my role and the challenges and opportunities that accompany it," said Koller. "The services we plan to bring to market in early 2007 provide an ideal platform from which to launch new sales and marketing initiatives for account development."
