GBDX - Global Diamond Exchange

This is getting big attention on ihub/hsm.

Apparently, they're returning (after a long time of closing down) to the Manhattan Diamond District. The location is set to open November 1 (today) to get in on the holiday season. It is expected that opening will be very bullish. The first diamond shipment comes in Nov 3 (this Friday). IMO a very interesting week ahead.

The chart looks great-building above average buying volume. See it for yourself at stockcharts.com

Global Diamond Exchange Wholesale Office Opens Next Week in Time for Arrival of First Diamond Shipment

NEW YORK, NY, Nov 01, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Global Diamond Exchange (PINKSHEETS: GBDX) is pleased to announce that it expects its sales office, located in the New York City Diamond District, to be fully operational the week of November 6, 2006. This will coincide with the arrival of the first shipment of diamonds that has already left Russia and is also expected to be here next week.

The company, with its office on 2 West 46th Street in New York City, already has purchase orders for the first shipment in place. Due to increased demand from clients the first order was increased to include smaller stones in the 0.33 ct to 0.99 ct range. Initially, only stones of 1.0 ct and up were to be cut and shipped. The office was scheduled to be opened on November 1st, however, with the increased order; the first shipment was delayed 2 to 3 days to accommodate the additional inventory. Global decided to wait and open the wholesale office at the same time the inventory arrives.

By achieving its initial goal of setting up a wholesale operation and having an inventory to move, Global is in prime position to take full advantage of its location in mid-town Manhattan and the fast approaching, always lucrative, Holiday season.

About Global Diamond Exchange:

Global Diamond Exchange originally opened its office on 2 West 46th street in the heart of the 'New York's Diamond District.' After several years of operation at its New York office the company decided to shut down the operation due to low pricing and soft demand in North America. The company concentrated its efforts on exporting cut diamonds from the Russian Federation and European locations. The new company has reopened its sales offices in the original building ready to take on the increased demand for fine quality diamonds.

What the hell is wrong with this stock? They just released that news today and the price is falling? Someone explain this to me, please!

It's falling because a lot of people expected a PR with revenues and estimates, not a PR stating they're delaying their store opening (which I don't think is a bad thing if you read as to why they're delaying the opening).

This is gonna be a huge play over the next couple months.....especially next week. Load up while its low IMO. We all saw how it moved over the past couple days with the anticipation of the store opening today....well it didn't open today and the reason is because they've had orders already placed which were so large that they had to add more to their initial shipment! Thats huge news, and come the end of this week/beginning of next week we'll see this baby take off like it started doing the past couple days. I'm really liking this one!

This thing is exploding over on IHUB. Too much too explain, but all types of talks about this company making $300-500 in sales this year. That's HUGE...and you can find the info in the source code on the company website....here's a post from over there:

Source code answers. Read on:

Yes you can see the information in the source code. For those who code web pages you'll recognize that these items as notations by the programmer when coding the webpage. The notations typically discuss parts of the code, what the code does and how it works. In this case the notations expand on a concept discussed in the web page.

You can't see the items by viewing the web page. You can only see them when you view the source code. If you look at the source code from within FireFox you'll see the notations in green. The code before and after the phrases prohibit then from being on seen on the web page. Only the coder can see them. You can view the source code from your web browser to see them as well.

In the Global Diamond Website there are two programmer notations. I’ve listed the text and the pages they can be viewed at:

FROM THE ABOUT PAGE the following notation is found:
"The company has been exporting cut diamonds for over 17 years, strictly on the wholesale level to major distributors around the world. Wholesale sales figures have averaged over 300 million USD for numerous years. Global Diamond has served the needs of clients around the world by providing diamonds of exquisite quality and workmanship. Russian diamond cutters are considered the most skilled craftsman in the world."

FROM ALL PAGES the following notation is found:
"Global Diamond Exchange exports cut and rough diamonds from Russia been in business since 1988." and last year did $500 million in exports.

This last one is very interesting. This portion is viewable on the web page: "Global Diamond Exchange exports cut and rough diamonds from russia been in business since 1988" and is immediately followed by this: and last year did $500 million in exports.

Interpret as you see fit.

GBDX okay some numbers here.Let us say they have 300 million $
in revenues for this coming year, and from that let us say they only in the worst senario make 1/4 in profits=75$M crispy
Now 350 million O/S.75$million divide by 350 million=.214 per share earnings at a 20 PE=4.28 Stock price.At 10 times earnings
=2.14 stock price. So are we undervalue or what?lol.
Even if they made 3,5 M $ million for the whole year divide by 350 million=.01 earnings per share at PE of 20=.20 PPs,and at PE of 10=.10 PPS.Stock is exremely undervalue Imo.

i think in all the time i've spent on message boards i've never ONCE seen any of the PPS speculative evaluations EVER EVER EVER come true. closest any ever got was with FHAL/CSHD and look where that is now... in the legal sh!thouse and untradeable.
i'd like to see it happen, but as for now REALITY says that the "play" is in a healthy-breathing, downward trend.
iHub can be good for some things, but generally it's a speculator's, pumping paradise over there. if this play actually hits $2, i will personally pay for all your stock trades for the year.
i'll be happy if it hits .10 (even .05)... wouldn't you?
i was in this play at around .01 when it was WWCD and the day it took that HUGE leap upon ticker/cusip change, i sold all at around .05 and i was happy. then rebought last week at .017 and definitely should have sold all yesterday with such high volume and such little fluctuation. not exactly sure why i didn't as it's not in my nature on most occassions. so, now, its either sell first thing in the morning unless there's a gap up OR wait for another round of consolidation (10/16 thru 10/26) and hope for an uptick. gotta be smart about taking profits.

Why sell now? Did you watch EOD?

This is going to be a good play with any type of revenue numbers from the company

i didn't sell. and, yes, of course i watched EOD. like i said, if it doesn't gap and show some serious momo tomorrow i might sell all and run with 20%. this play is nearly 100% spec right now and moving on momo and spec alone. just my own strategy i suppose. Not sure why you feel its 100% spec? The company is keeping us updated, they are opening their doors next week with orders already in place, if you do the research you'll find that past years revenues are ridiculously high, its been verified that they have leased the building where they stated they will be located, and the O/S and float haven't changed...The O/S is still only around 350 million with a float around 75 million which is a nice number. Chart looks nice and with the store opening next week in a terrific location in New York and the holiday season approaching....theres tons of potential here IMO...guess we;ll have to wait and see but I think you'd be crazy to sell at this level.

jerzey... i was commenting on the spec of revs, their ability to distribute the cuts, to whom, etc. i mean really, just cuz you order some diamonds doesn't mean there's gonna immediately be buyers for them and just cuz it's the holidays. as far as my 'selling/buying', that's my own thing and my own trading guidelines. again, i'm not in the habit of giving up 20% to 30% even if everyone in pinkieland is telling me that it's gonna give me 100%. it just doesn't make sense to me to rely on speculation when i've got a grand staring me in the face. i'd rather chase it if/when the momo is HOT HOT HOT with money in the bank, than i would wait in hopes of making more the next day. for me, that just seems silly.
i live in omaha, NE and if you know anything about diamonds you'll know that we have an outlet here called Borsheims (http://shop.borsheims.com/Borsheims/Default.aspx) which is considered one of the finest jewlery and diamond outfits in the world (literally, in the world). i called my friend who is senior vp of sales there and asked him if they did business with GBDX and/or if he'd ever heard of them and he answered 'no' on both accounts. so, again, momo is key, news trumps all, but i gotta stay in reality and take the money when it's staring me in the face.

Oh i misunderstood ya. When you stated this play is 100% spec right now, I thought you meant this play was 100% spec right now.....didn't realize you were referring to the revs. And everyone plays their own way....theres definately nothing wrong with taking profit...thats the name of the game! I just feel at the very least this is a double from here short term and very possibally alot more so I'm gonna stick around for awhile. Good luck to ya in whatever you decide to do!

A big red flag should have gone up with me yesterday after I called the number and got an answering service!!!! But I did not dump my small position this morning and now with BooDog's post, I guess I'll pay a heavy price in the morning.

WE NEED TO MAKE MORE PHONE CALLS TO ANY AND EVERY PENNY STOCK THEN AT THE START OF THE POST< TELL US WHAT YOU LEARNED. ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS GIVE US THE LOW DOWN

I'm starting to call any and every penny I invest in. If I like what i hear I'll lay down a few $'s.

We should also start a ALLSTOCK STAR RATING.
10 stars for the more solid a company is, and 1 Star for those that are "high risk".
Share your DD's.

Do not invest on any of my suggestions

I'm still learning AND still researching. I will post what I see. If someone doesn't like it they can tell me. Do your own DD and realize there are a gazillion opinions out there. Mine is only 1.

GBDX caught my eye because of the way they announced themselves from the get go with pumpers.

There are some names here that I still have to chase down and time is money. The nevada connection as incorp. gives me more red flags right off the bat. I would tell anyone to look at the previous symbols and do some DD. The florida registered company and the now GBDX need to be validated. I can say so far from the 80's it isn't looking good if you have had a chance to look at some of the names and google them. I am trying to find info on current management. I didn't think the PPS would go very far to allow me more time. plus I'm not in this so I’m not rushed.
don't buy or sell because of what i have found. do your own DD. I jumped on the DD here because it seemed everyone was just playing the run, nothing wrong with that but I do despise putting money in someone’s pocket that I believe could be cheating others. This stock has las vegas gambling all over it. not just in real estate but gambling. The russian mob might be hunting me down already. If I conclude they are 100% legit then I'll put in a few chips but Dorothy's yellow brick road is being swarmed with the flying monkeys right now.

In any case watch the charts. Make your own decisions, and share the DD...That's what allstocks is all about.
Good luck.
