PharmaNetics (PHAR) gave back nearly 16 percent after the Raleigh, N.C., biotechnology firm said it has completed a $9.6 million private placement of preferred stock. The financing was led by Camden Partner, a Baltimore-based health care private equity fund. The preferred stock converts into common stock at $6 per share. The deal also includes warrants for the purchase of an additional 510,932 common shares at $7.12 each.
