A tragic car accident claimed the life of our dear friend and founder of MMAWeekly on Wednesday 5/31/2006 while traveling with his family. While driving to St. George, UT the tire blew out on his car, causing the vehicle to roll. Ryan was killed instantly.
Ryan's wife, Tonya, is still in surgery and two of his children are still in the hospital, while his two youngest have checked out fine.
Our prayers and blessings are with the Bennett family at this terrible hour in their lives. This is a great loss to the MMA community. And, the loss of a great friend to many. Please keep Ryan's family in your prayers.

Look folks, investor hype over a weekend pushed this up to .001, A P.R. announcing US and UK deals will push it to the next leve IMO, .01+ THey are not a PR factory, the news will be released in due time. If you can't afford to let your money sit here for a while, don't. If you get out be prepared to get back in early when that P.R. is released or you are going to miss the ride.

Anyone watching the L2s? UBSS has raised and lowered his ask 10 times in the last 15 minutes. Going from 6 to 7, back and forth.

The question is were you able to buy at 1 (I think almost everyone could) AND sell at the ask of 2 (pretty darn hard)?

PPS of 5$ would get me roughly 120mil. Not shabby but not to realistic I don't think. What was the float for SIRI? I'm willing to bet it wasn't 4 bil. +/- like this one was it?

I'm wondering how many of these companies that start off as micro pennies or pennies, actually got to 5.00 like your saying SIRI did. Was it ever a micro penny stock?

SIRI was never a micro-penny. It IPO'ed at $4.50, hit a high of $69.44 in March of 2000, then crashed to $0.38 in March of 2003.

I posted this a while ago but i will repost because it is interesting.
Anyone that says that penny stocks should not be held onto, and should be trade continualy just might be wrong. Notice on the list below all but 1 of the stocks started out it's little stock life as a penny stock, at least by the SEC rules. I will agree that none of these were sub-pennies, but any one of the companies traded in the sub-penny market has the potential of one day trading over $1.00. I am in no way endorsing any of these stocks, I have a few that I consider long holds. I picked companies that have market potential, potential profit and are real companies. If you are unsure of whether or not a company is for real, pay the money to obtain a report from Dunn and Bradstreet. A D&B will tell you everything you need to know about a companies financials before you invest. The first number listed after the company name is where they started trading, the second number is where they were at the time of the report. 16 best stocks of the decade Company 1/2/2000 12/2/2005 Market cap 6-yr pct chg.
