From another board in regards to PYCT...

Not sure where PYCT fits in.

HSBC’s Global Transaction Banking Services business today announced it will provide clients a centralised-secure payment service across Canada, the United States and Mexico. The payment service from one of the world’s largest financial institutions is geared toward clients that need to make payments to trading partners within North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) countries. It especially benefits multinational companies in the automotive, pharmaceutical, technology, logistics, and consumer goods sectors that do business in any of these three markets.

“NAFTA has increased commerce across these important economic centers, and increased a client’s need to expedite payments, reduce payment file formatting, and save money,” said Michael Gallagher, head of global transaction banking for NAFTA countries at HSBC. “Before introducing this service, corporate treasurers were generally required to maintain multiple banking relationships. Clients now have the choice to use one bank to process payments in U.S. dollars, Canadian dollars, and Mexican pesos - reducing risk, errors and costs.”

"HSBC is proud to launch a service that will streamline the payments and cash management process for many of our clients," said Martin Glynn, president and chief executive officer, HSBC Bank USA, N.A. "This is another example of how HSBC can use its global network to develop cross border services for its domestic and international client base."

HSBC’s payment process is flexible and allows clients to send check, wire money transfers and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments in one file-format whether those payables are in a single currency or in multiple currencies within North America. Through its presence across NAFTA countries, HSBC is able to facilitate all payment types into one consolidated file via HSBC Connect - a secure host-to-host file-based delivery channel.

“Corporate treasurers will no longer have to maintain a variety of in-country formats. They will have the ability to transmit data for high and low value payments across NAFTA countries with confidence and ease,” added Michael Gallagher. “And the added benefit of keeping the payment flows within one institution.”

HSBC provides a wide array of transaction banking products and services including cash management, trade services, supply chain, securities and bank notes. It ranks Number 2 globally in cash management including providing the best in-country client service (Euromoney’s 2005 Cash Management Poll).

Global Transaction Banking Services supports HSBC’s Corporate, Investment Banking and Markets (CIBM) and Commercial Banking (CMB) businesses.

CIBM provides tailored financial products and services to major government, corporate and institutional clients and offers a full range of capabilities, including foreign exchange, fixed income, derivatives, risk advisory, investment banking, payments and cash management, trade services, and securities services. Find out more about CIBM.

CMB provides loan and deposit products to small and middle-market corporations including specialized products such as real estate financing. Various credit and trade related products are also offered including standby facilities, performance guarantees and acceptance. Read more about CMB.

One thing I do like is that they seem to only report actual information. they are not flooding the market with a bunch of BS PR's to just try and drive the market like a lot of pinks.

Latest News -
April 17 2006
Kirby Manuel has arrived in the Philippines ahead of proposed talks with Philippine bank networks.

According to a Marketwatch press release, "the government of the Philippines said its economy grew at the fastest pace in more than eight years because workers overseas sent home more money than ever -- $10.8 billion.

Remittances, when workers send money back to their home country, are a big part of developing countries' economies.

Fees charged by many smaller operators are exorbitant -- as much as 30%, according to one Interpol study. This historically has sent people to the black market, which account for more than $1 trillion per year in money transfers, according to some government estimates.

Legitimate money transfers total more than $150 billion per year, according to an industry report, double what they were 10 years ago. Growth is estimated at 28% per year, according to a Nilson Report, which tracks money transfers and other consumer-payment systems as well as alternative banking methods.

The Philippines, for example, has seven million overseas workers and the Philippines reports remittances account for more than 10% of its total economic revenue."

PayChest Inc. plans to partner with the 2 major Philippine bank networks to offer transaction processing for individuals who do not have a credit card but have local bank debit accounts.

With transfer costs set to drop as a result, the number of immigrant workers can have an alternative means to transfer their funds back home. "It seems as though hard work is paying off -- in more ways than one."

The PayChest Team

From the RB Board...

PayPal to open business in RP

PAYPAL, a global leader in online payment accounts solutions, is set to establish its regional operating headquarters in the Philippines that will manage business process outsourcing (BPO) in the country.
Maria Roseni Mendoza-Alvero, the Philippine special trade representative of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Silicon Valley (PTIC-Silicon Valley), said Paypal Asia Services Ltd. will operate general administration and planning, business planning and coordination, data processing and development and customer service that will also include call-center operations.
Mendoza-Alvero said the company is now finalizing registration procedures with the Board of Investments to initially invest $200,000 for its project.
Currently, these services are being done in the Philippines by some 600 personnel through registered outsource providers.
“More than just operating an auction site in the Philippines, the government encouraged eBay and its affiliated companies, including PayPal, to consider the Philippines as an e-services, logistics and distribution hub for its Southeast Asian operations,” she said.
An eBay company, PayPal is available in 56 countries and regions and is widely used by more than 86 million buyers and sellers on eBay to send and receive online payments through systems provided by financial institutions.
In the Philippines it is estimated that 112,000 people are now working in call centers, bringing in $1.12 billion in revenues this year, a tremendous increase from 2000 when call centers employed 2,400 people and earned $24 million.

Paychest Intends to Pay a Dividend in Western Pacific Minerals Shares
Monday May 1, 8:48 am ET

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO--(MARKET WIRE)--May 1, 2006 -- PayChest, Inc. (Other OTC:PYCT.PK - News) today announced that it intends to pay its shareholders 1 share of Western Pacific Minerals (a Vancouver BC company) for every share of Paychest held on the record date of today thru May 26, 2006.

In order to accomplish this dividend payment, Western Pacific will have to undergo a forward split of 100 for 1 bringing Paychest's holdings up to 20,000,000,000 shares. Western Pacific is the beneficial owner of 50 silver mining claims in an area of Canada that historically has been rich in silver deposits.

Alejandro Cerda CEO of Paychest, stated, "The reason for paying the dividend was the result of a decision to focus Paychest on its new business model and divest our interests of unrelated investments. This new focus gives us an opportunity to reward our shareholders with a dividend in a silver mining company at a time when silver has become more economically feasible to mine and highly profitable."

PayChest also confirms today that the programming for the upgrading of the company's Internet Payment System is on schedule and is now 80% complete.

Negotiations are still ongoing with a number of new potential gateway partners, which will enable PayChest members to fund their transfers and online purchases using credit cards.

The company also plans to launch its own PayChest ATM card which can be funded from a PayChest members account online.

This will enable PayChest members to withdraw funds from any of the one million ATMs in 160 countries around the globe.

PayChest Inc. continues to eye the payment gateway markets not being serviced by PayPal around the world including the Philippines.

According to some reports, the government of the Philippines said its economy grew at the fastest pace in more than eight years because workers overseas sent home more money than ever -- $10.8 billion.

PayChest is uniquely positioned to capture this market segment along with the raging Asian markets like China and the emerging Central and South American economies.

If all goes well then great, if not, make it work.
