Anything happens.... I cant sell today, I dont want myself to be classified as day trader at Ameritrade......

Can anyone tell me what makes a individual as DAy trader on Ameritrade system ?

3 complete buys and sells in a five day period defines the pattern day trader.

Hey guys, be careful about reading too much into 5000 trades. This has happened to me a number of times where a buy of mine has been split into 2 chunks: 5000 + the remainder. In fact, it happened last week when I bought a measly 39,000 shares of CNES. Of course, I guess that could be hiding their signals in my buy, but I doubt that they would do anything sneaky and dishonest like that [Big Grin]

This five day period is always from Monday to Friday ???

Nope...any combination of round trips...It's an IRS requirement ...not Ameritrade...

Your On Line Broker should have information on their site concerning trades and pattern daytraders...If any questions you should talk to your broker...

I believe it's 5 round trips in one day that put's you into the day trader category.

Once the news is out there for everyone to absorb this will move. CNES usually takes a day or two before it moves with news. At least that has been the pattern in the past.

There are mostly buys as far as I can see - a few sells sprinkled in there too tho. ARCA is in control again...guess they will let it run when their ready.

hey guys i am somewhat new to posting. i am 19 and jsut started getting into penny stocks about 3 or 4 months ago. ive read some books and have learned a majority of what i know from you guys here. i have a little over 4 million shares i bought at .0002 and have sold durinog the runs and bought at low times so i have made a few bucks. its definately because of listening to you guys and your input. i know i shouldnt jsut go from message boards in what i should do and i dont wanna be the guy that just goes off of what other people have researched. i wanna learn so bad as much as possible and i know a major downside with me is i cannot read charts. honestly i am lost when i look at charts-lol. i was wondering if anyone knew of some good books or resources where i could learn how to read charts. i know if i knew how to read this i would be much better off. sorry for the long post. thanks again all of you for all the info i have learned!
