Been lurking here all week.

Just opened a Scott Trade account Tuesday and bought into USXP after looking at this board as well as the company.

I think they have a unique product that makes sense in "Today's Travel World". Seems like they need a little better marketing...

Anyhow, it's been a fun ride this week. Hopefully it will continue going up next week...

Have a good weekend.

I hope they put out more PR this week, unlike last week. It was unusual for USXP to be silent for an entire week. Maybe they are saving it all up for the next several days to come.

I think USXP needs to release multiple PRs this week in order to get back to around the .007 level. They allowed the stock to drop significantly over the last week by not releasing their promised PR. I do think they will flood this week with news hopefully starting monday early lunch time to see a nice increase.

Press Release Source: Coalition for Luggage Security

The Coalition for Luggage Security Applauds Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr.'s Broadening View Of Our Security Issues
Monday February 13, 8:30 am ET

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 2006--The Coalition for Luggage Security says, The Philadelphia Inquirer has published an open letter from Senator Biden that outlines what the US has been doing wrong, and what needs to be done to create safer travel systems within the United States. (http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/editorial/13834619.htm)

"Senator Biden's open letter directly puts responsibility for our security here at home on the President of the United States. Money is poured into areas other than our own homeland security, such as our travel systems. Fighting terrorism and securing our means of transportation must be a priority, and the Coalition believes everyone has to do their part, and be open minded to new ideas for our own safety," said Harvey Abelson, Coalition Director.

"The Coalition For Luggage Security has in the past, added its voice to expanding our security from airline passengers and their luggage to cargo aboard passenger aircraft. Our Coalition has also provided a way to pay for the additional security (http://www.usxp.com/securitywp.pdf), Shipping airline passenger's luggage separate from the traveler will produce taxpayer and airline savings. These savings and freed up resources can be refocused into securing other parts of our infrastructure: air cargo, trains, ports, electrical grids, first responders and help provide the communication technology needed so all government and law enforcement agencies are connected as was promised after 9/11," said Richard A. Altomare, Founder and Chairman of the Coalition for Luggage Security, and CEO of Universal Express, Inc. (OTCBB: USXP - News)

About The Coalition for Luggage Security

The Coalition for Luggage Security was established to ensure the safety of travelers through alternate means of luggage transportation. The Coalition consists of prominent businesspersons and companies that educate the public, Congress and the Administration on the importance of solving the luggage and cargo safety issues that exist in airlines and airports.

The idea of separating luggage from passengers is interesting. I wonder how the logistics would work. A second aircraft needed for each plane that carries passengers?

Think about it. How would the luggage get to the passengers destination at the same time the passenger does?

I think that there would be a big decrease in efficiency.

Coalition For Luggage Security Comments On the TSA's Secure Flight Program Review
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 2006--The Coalition for Luggage Security, comments on recent developments in the TSA's Secure Flight Program. According to CBSNews.com, the Secure Flight Program, where the government would take over from the airlines the task of checking names against watch lists, has been suspended so comprehensive audits can be performed by the programs information and technology departments. These audits will help determine weaknesses in the system and potential security breaches of the personal information held in this system.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/02/09/national/main1301596.shtml
http://www.tsa.gov/public/display?theme=40&content=090005198018c349

"The Secure Flight Program has been delayed after a review of the Government Accounting Office (GAO) and an internal review by the TSA. This action has been taken after spending $200 million dollars and being a top TSA priority," said Harvey Abelson, Coalition Director.

According to the GAO report, the "TSA has followed a rapid development method intended to develop the program quickly. This process has been ad hoc, resulting in project activities being conducted out of sequence, requirements not being fully defined, and documentation containing contradictory information or omissions. Further, while TSA has taken steps to implement an information security management program for protecting information and assets, its efforts are incomplete."

The full GAO Report can be found here. http://www.gao.gov/cgi-bin/getrpt?GAO-06-374T

"The Register Traveler program will move forward by way of the TSA's private industry partners. This program will contain traveler's fingerprints and have the potential to contain personal and economic information. This program will have the same challenge: keeping personal information private and secure, as previously reported by the Coalition for Luggage Security. The main problem is if large financial institutions and bank processors have failed to protect this information, then how can we be sure this private information will be secured from criminals and terrorists," concluded Mr. Abelson.

"We are building expensive and complicated systems that once in place can be dangerous tools in the wrong hands. The protections and benefits that we gain from them will be minimal. Our Coalition has looked at the roots of the security problem and found that separating luggage from the traveler provides passenger security, convenience and economic benefits (http://www.usxp.com/securitywp.pdf)," stated Richard A. Altomare, Founder and Chairman of the Coalition for Luggage Security, and CEO of Universal Express, Inc. (OTCBB: USXP.)
