Happy Warped Emancipation Day tomorow!

katrina7, i believe "desperado" is the whiz and elaine's favorite song. he was the used car salesman or something with the commercial "i'm the whiz!" where he wore like a crown and a robe. everytime he hears the song he cries. then elaine wanted to change the song to "witchy woman" or should i say "wit-chay woman".
(lol just thinking about the episode!!)

While driving down the road and thinking about this stock, I had an idea. Maybe I should have been thinking in this way all along.
I use to say OK, I'll buy some here and after it runs up I will sell it all and hopefully not get killed.
I started thinking, wait a minute I should be my own MM. When the stock is going down I should load up on some inexpensive inventory that I could use later.
When prices are up, OK, I'll sell and create some profit.
But if my inventory is going down in value, so what? I'll just buy in some more for future use.
Do y'awl think in this way? Or is this just the same thing only different?

Yeah, Sky, that's what we're doing. Not buying shares to pack away in the garage.
Obviously, you'll want the value of each share to increase though. The only way you'll come out ahead is if someone else wants the shares, and they're willing to pay what you want for them.
For now, I think WHG is the closet to being our own little market maker. Unless Bubba has the shares. then it's our own big market maker.

sjk--you could be right---I remember the witchy woman thing....but for some reason in my mind the song was putty's and then he had that Jesus fish on his car....I could be wrong. I will consult with other Seinfeld experts and get back to you.
skyman--yeah I was just wondering why I didn't buy more at .059 the other day. Dumb!

Yes and no. We were not a group before this play... but I think we're becoming one now. Hopefully we'll stick together when/if it finally starts to run.

Gee I had a busy day yesterday and it looks like I missed most of the fun ... you guys are a riot. Well good luck to all today in all our investments. On the subject of other stocks to invest in, I'm in AMEP they have leases in one of the richest plays for natural gas and oil in Texas and talk is currently in the USA. They have recently purchased their own oil rig and supposedly rigs are hard to come by right now. I've been in that for a while and will be holding long(er). Not nearly as much invested as in MOTG but as I come up with funds I will be increasing there. Now that hubby finally has a job again after three years (he starts on the 12th WOO-HOO) things should get easier. Here is a link for folks to look at. http://www.americanenergyproduction.com/about.html#update trade BannerDobermans*adelphia.net

Doc, c'mon already. Have you read the last few pages? Does it look like a group play? We're barely talking about the stock. All of us are just sitting around waiting for something to happen, just like everyone else. I might as well ask if QBID is a group play.

Moving Up, I know quite a few invested in AMEP, however, be aware of the following:
American Energy Production Inc. on January 18, 2004 filed a form N-54 with the SEC to become a Business Development Company. A BDC company is regulated under the 1940 SEC act. That act set out procedures by which a Company once it establishes a majority position in a Company can make a series of further investments in it’s ‘investee’ A BDC company does not consolidate financial statements with its investees and each investee operates independently.
BDC companies can pretty much dilute at will w/o filing anything. Just be careful, that's all. And do some serious DD on BDC companies.

Bin I was thinking the same thing last night. The next Q is due in January. I hope this doesn't become a cyclical process of each Q becoming late because they were busy putting out the last one...
Any updates today would be appreciated. I was a little disappointed to hear the auditors are still doing revisions. The holiday season is around the corner I hope they get all the pr's out before people start leaving on holiday.
"didn't tell me any specifics, just that they were on the "final" list for the auditors. your guess is as good as mine."
The problem we had with the auditors on the K was they kept coming to Welch with a "list" of things they needed to complete the K. I think its the same thing going on now. If Welch is just now working on getting the "final" list of requirements back to the auditors, it could be a good coupla days still.
Speculation on my part, maybe someone with a source can reach in and pull out some answers.
