Thanks for all the info Thorn. That's all very interesting stuff. I don't feel at all uncomfortable hanging on to this stock for awhile. I think it will pay off in the end. [Razz]

Shipwreck may hold loot from 1812 Washington

By Edward Colimore

Inquirer Staff Writer

Buttons from the uniforms of British officers and U.S.-minted coins.

The simple evidence found by a Newtown, Bucks County, company in the rough waters off Nova Scotia might not be conclusive, but together with the maritime record it makes a compelling case for the discovery of a historic treasure:

The wreck of the HMS Fantome and escort vessels, carrying valuables looted from the White House and Capitol by the British during the War of 1812.

Divers, archaeologists and conservators from the Newtown-based firm have been quietly working at the site over the last year and are preparing to begin full recovery operations.

The Fantome's manifests confirm it held the Washington plunder when it sank with several other ships in a convoy on a rocky reef near Prospect, about 20 miles southwest of Halifax.

Locals have long called the area Fantome Cove, said Curtis Sprouse, chief operating officer of Sovereign Exploration Associates International, based in Newtown. SEAI owns the company now surveying the site, Artifact Conservation and Recovery (ARC), also of Newtown.

Sprouse said the experts could not say with certainty that they had found the Fantome until they had fully evaluated artifacts and recovered others. The wooden ships at the site have long since disintegrated.

"But you can find cannon; the Fantome had unique cannon," he said. "You also will find a ship's bell, plaques and silverware with the impression of the ship."

ARC has been conducting a survey of the site under an official Treasure Trove licensing accord with the provincial government. The province will receive a 10 percent royalty on any official treasure, including artifacts. The remaining items belong to ARC.

"We've been very quiet about this for a year while we did operations and raised funds for the work," said Sprouse, adding that the retrieval could continue for a year. "We have been examining the site and determining how we will do the recovery."

A Canadian filmmaker, John Wesley Chisholm, hopes to make a documentary about the site. He has criticized the operation and wants to change the law to prevent historic items from falling into private hands.

Sprouse said the team was conducting the recovery in a "scientific and highly professional manner."

"We believe that the preservation and presentation of history is of utmost importance," he said.

D'oh... SEAI's stock issue is sxvp.
Now I remember, small companies that cali invested and hold they called 'portfolio'. Just one of many tax write offs and investment opportunities that a fund type company would play with. One of these subs better start showing some tangible income statements or we may just have another anchor looking for more rope.
Alot of these so called holding penny companies are living off stock issues per year as their only income and I don't want to see seai used for pr trolling.

Press Release for Cali Holdings Inc

CALI Holdings, Inc. Signs Definitive Agreement with Marine Exploration Company
10/20/2005 9:20:01 AM
ORLANDO, Fla., Oct 20, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- CALI Holdings, Inc. ( CALI ) announced today that it executed and closed under a definitive agreement with Sovereign Exploration Associates International Inc. (SEAI), a marine exploration company headquartered in Pennsylvania.
The agreement involved the exchange of SEAI stock for 90% of CALI stock and pursuant thereto SEAI became a wholly-owned subsidiary of CALI. The new management team will be comprised of key individuals from SEAI. Robert Baca and Curtis Sprouse of SEAI will assume the CEO and COO positions effective immediately. SEAI's web site is under development. Future announcements on the SEAI web site will address current site operations, artifacts recovered to date and future projects.

Mr Sprouse comes from BOSTON MARKET STRATEGIES, INC, a health care management consulting firm but the PR seems to state he is from seai with years of salvage experience.... 'key individuals'. It is deceptive if not researched. I don't even know how this guy had the time to be involved in cali if he has been spending the last 10 years with bmsi as president.
All I know is I salivate over the sxvp front end of this set up but when I look out back I dry up right quick.
I'm holding this for now, but this better not be a bunch of leeches sucking dry another legitimate company, the original salvage group....

this link will lead you to some of my research on the War of 1812 and the looting of the White House. I started the thread that the link leads you to after reading Captain Bob MacKinnon's interview (CB Wreckhunters) Enjoy!

Well, looking through most of SEC forms 3,4, 5, 13f etc in an effort on insider info, what I haven't found is if these officers had made puts or calls with their purchases. My feeling is hopefully long, because the insiders think pps will rise at some point. If anybody knows where to get actual buy type of the stock, I would appreciate the info. Perhaps I missed something in the fields of these sec forms somewhere.
thanks

Picked up a little over a million today. Can't wait to see this one jump. Very promising.

Just so you all know the reason it hasn't jumped with the White House Artifact news is because that it was not release as a pr. It was just through their emails and web site. The next pr we should see .0005 or .higher.

Maybe it's a MM signal? Are they buys or sells?

If the price of the trade is at .0003, that would make a total of #299.9997 which translates to $300.

If the price of the trade is at .0004, that would make a total of $399.9996 which translates to $400.

According to this handy dandy MM signal list...
300 > Take the price down to get shares
400 > Trade it sideways based on Supply and Demand

Now, I don't know anything about MM signals, how they work, or if they're even real (some say urban legend). I'm just totally speculating here.

Does anyone know about MM signals and can enlighten us? I don't know anything about that stuff. (And I can't seem to find anything on the internet about it either... anyone have some links that can educate me?)

Heh... maybe someone is just simply buying and selling stocks. I guess a MM would probably not use so much money (unnecessary) to put out a signal.

I understood it to be the number of shares traded rather than the $ value, but that's an interesting different take on it.

I am wondering if there is any info about what might have been taken from the Capitol (what was there?) and thus what might have had a chance to survive under the waves for this long

Fortunately, chances are that anything worth looting was likely made of some sort of precious metal...).

I also thought it had to do with number of shares... but I was stretching here. Dunno.

Found this, looks like they may get some friction on any recovery attempts.

looks like he just wants to film and document the wreck before they start damaging the site buy recovering things.

I don't see it as a bad for the historic point of view but it might take a little longer for our guys to get to work on it.

How's this guy going to film the shipwreck? Supposedly, all the wooden ships from this period have long since disintegrated. Now, if he wants to film the actually treasure recovery effort and make a documentary of it, that might be interesting for our little company here! [Razz]
