I started a thread for this stock this morning without using the symbol hence I take the liberty to post it again, this time under the correct ticker and hope for some feedback..( I hope Bob will forgive me and wont delete the post)
My pick for a Long term play highly undervalued, non-pumped company is QRVI.
Recent summary of Business Activities Quality Restaurant Ventures (OTC Pink Sheets: QRVI) today released a financial review showing that during 2004, QRVI had a 269%+ increase in system-wide sales compared to sales made in 2003. This report is the first announcement revealing the financial impact of investments QRVI made last year in two fast-growing, regional fast-food chains, Westshore Pizza and Famous Uncle Al's Hot Dogs (OTC Pink Sheets: FFDG). The report shows that in 2003, QRVI's system-wide sales were $4,677,502 compared with $12,599,913 for 2004. While the majority of the 2004 increase can be attributed to the company's new affiliations, Sobik's Sub Shops posted a sales increase of $207,803 which is 4%+ gain in system-wide sales for 2003.
According to recent phone calls with the president, a PR update is in the works and is very positive in nature!
Drawback: lack of liquidity in the market so patience, P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E is required.

I've been in this stock for quite a while. It's been unnoticed for far too long. I believe this to be a solid company with a proven track record for growth. I will hold for long term.
Thanks Upekha for starting this thread.

Think I'll wait awhile. 52 week low is .0004 in May, just ran to .0053 in July. I'll wait for single digits.

Can someone help me getting a clearer picture on qrvi, plese. I put together as much information as could gather, but I still have major 'gaps' in my understanding...as I just stujmbled across this QRVI accidentally (fat finger syndrom)....
question 1: FFDG.PK - is 'affiliated' with QRVI whose parent company seems to be UFSM.PK. Apparently the people involved in UFSM.PK - started QRVI as a spin-off. What is the relationship between ffdb.pk and qrvi.pk?
Question 2: there seems to be quite a few franchise concepts out there, all generating revenues:
- Westshore Pizza - Famous Uncle Al's Hot Dogs - Sobiks Sobik's Sub Shops (around 30 franchise locations) - Sobiks Cafes http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/050630/flth010.html?.v=16 - does someone know more details around the various chains?

Sorry, viewed their website through pink sheets. The direct link didn't help that food look any better though. LOL

Thats where i bought it. I hope you don't wait too long. I am not sure you are going to see single digits again on this one. I could be wrong though so best of luck to you.

I agree apekha. I think they are too inverted and forgot that all their growth needs to be known. This is one of the most tangible pinks I have found. A shame it is so overlooked. They definately need PR

Short term patience is required for this stock. With the phone conversation that took place yesterday, and the ackowledgement of poor P/R by thier assigne I/R... There will be news coming soon... and all indications are they are thriving!

What is the deal with all these 'affliated' companies that they mention in their PR: FFDG - QRVI - UFSM - they all seem to involve the same people!

Hi all. They way I understood QRVI is they have a piece of all those companies. QRVI is in charge of setting up all of those store and may actually own some. I am really not sure. The next time I call Patterson I will get a clearer picture of things and report my findings. GLTA

Good Morning all! ghcnj...looking forward to whatever info you can glean. I hope this board will generate some interest in the otherwise overlooked gem.
I never found it hard to trade buy though I have added in quite a while. Don't know why you are having trouble. Strange.

One thing stange- Streetsmart shows one order for 250,020 shares. I only bought 250,000. What's the deal with the extra 20 shares?
Anyway, I hope you are correct. I generally try to accumulate between 5 and 10 million shares of stocks like QRVI and right now that seems like it mighte be tough.

I saw the extra 20 also but don't know where that came from. I am not brave enough yet to buy in the millions so I don't know if is possible with this one. Good luck to you.

There is a chart formation which is very worthy of taking note over. It is bullish and could prove to be the turning point for this stocks PPS.... Time to seriously think about placing your orders..... Cheepo

I too see a chart pattern changing, may be time to take a second look. Coupled with extrordinary earnings and more PR's this one could be a runner. Franchise stocks seem to be coming slowly back into vogue. Does anyone know the actual float on this one? Seems like alot of shares outstanding but noticed it takes very little buying to move the price north. Will keep watching and look for an entry point.

Timer, the share structure, i.e., o/s etc. is part of my first post on the thread!
The chart is indeed beginning to look good -...the narrowing bollinger bands and the candles repeatedly reaching the upper band, the fast & slow stochastic also look VERY good - add to this the fourfold (20day avg) volume increase in the last trading day.....
you would think that given the number of shares floating around that one could get some under the ask - well it just didnt happen..... both on thursday and friday and it was tough/impossible throught most of the day to get anything under the ask.... good luck tomorrow!

Is 18% a good profit margin for the restaurant industry? I thought most restaurants have a much higher gross profit margin. I was never in the restaurant business, so I don't know if that is good GPM. Maybe someone here knows?
