The PR kind of sucked that's why I think it when down. we are still not drilling yet he's says we have to wait another 10 days. I'm still holding but kind of a fluff PR in my opinion. Good Luck everyone.

A PR as a result of investor interest is a great thing IMO. It shows that the company wants to have a relationship with the shareholders. I would rather hear it is going to be another 10 days than not hear anything at all.
"Initial inquiries for the Oil America Group Limited Drilling Partnership have been overwhelming. Joe Christopher and his corporate counsel have submitted the documents for final approval. The Oil America Group Investor program will begin the week of the 20th of October. Potential investors will be notified when the program receives final approval. For more information contact: jchristoper*oilamericagroup.com or 972-386-0601."
Has anyone emailed or called for more information? What is the "Investor Program"?

I felt a little less special after reading that news. It was like a big twinkie that had no cream in the middle. Looked good but did not satisfy!

An investor program like that is basically a drilling partnership. You, as an individual or a company, can buy a "unit" in a drilling operation. After the well is drilled, you then own xx% of that well and the income/expense it generates.

any press release that shows that the company is listening is excellent. They don't have to spend the money to keep us updated on the rig...its not a material event at all but it shows they have every intention to have a relationship with us as Natural Resources just posted and thats a great thing to know.I personally talk to these guys fairly often, many hear obviously have to,the business plan is in the works and on track. You shouldn't complain over something like this at all.

newcomer.you know if a company has just bought a peice of (used?)equipment that is vital to their operation it would seem reasonable that they are going to check it out,run tests, iron out all the problems before it goes into operation don't you think?.maybe sometime before xmas when the gas squeeze is really on and assuming the rig is up and running(lets hope so)we might be making a buck or two.so dont cry in your beer think about santa and what he is getting you for xmas.

The drilling rig work over should be completed and the rig operational in the next ten days. At that time the Company will move the drilling rig to Bend Arch Petroleum Inc., 12 well property, and drill a 3,100 foot developmental well. This well will have four to five potential natural gas formations that could produce 300,000 to 500,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day
if this well produces then great if it doesnt who cares we just need a working rig drop this rig on the shale start punching holes start making money i said it before and i hope no one minds me repeating myself this will dwarf anything that tnog has ever done.
IMHO in a few weeks if all goes well with this rig.we should be getting another pr that will make us all alot of money good luck bmax

Oil industry rides high energy prices to big profits By Matt Krantz, USA TODAY The high energy prices causing drivers intense pain at the pump certainly aren't hurting the oil industry's profits.
Hurricane damage and global supply-and-demand imbalances caused oil to end the third quarter up 33% from a year earlier. Although crude prices have pulled back the past week, the third quarter was already in the books and the windfall from high crude prices will soon become clear as energy companies report their quarterly results.
"As you get a high oil price, it feeds quickly to higher earnings," says Tim Guinness, portfolio manager of the Guinness Atkinson Global Energy fund. Projected growth Third-quarter earnings growth is expected to be huge for energy-related companies. Drilling 194.8% Equipment and services 63.4% Integrated oil and gas 54.5% Exploration and production 84.9% Refining and marketing 141.3% Source: Standard & Poor's
While it'll be weeks before all of the energy companies report their earnings, the numbers promise to be dazzling. Earnings at the energy companies in the Standard & Poor's 1500 index are expected to jump 61% in the third quarter, dwarfing the 14.4% growth expected from the broad S&P 1500, S&P says.
How much of that is hurricane-related? Third-quarter earnings estimates for the energy sector are up 7.8% since Katrina hit. But not all pockets of the energy business benefited equally.
•Big oil. The "integrated" oil companies, which include giants such as ExxonMobil, are actually the industry's slowest growers. Still, these companies are expected to boost earnings by 55%. While integrated oil companies profit by selling high-priced crude to refiners that turn it into gasoline, some get clipped if their gas station arms do not increase prices as quickly as the price of oil rises, says Mike Bryk, co-portfolio manager of the Munder Power Plus fund.
•Drillers. The big winners have been the companies that drill wells for a daily fee, such as Transocean and Rowan. Earnings in this industry are expected to triple in the third quarter, and the companies have doubled and tripled the daily rate they charge exploration companies for their services.
•Refiners. Despite having to pay high prices for crude oil, refiners' earnings are expected to jump 141% because they can charge higher prices for the finished products, Guinness says. But, more important, they can refine more inexpensively than they could before because their plants are running at nearly 90% capacity, Guinness says.
These plants should be humming almost full out for quite some time because there has been little investment in new refineries, says Fred Sturm, portfolio manager at Ivy Global Natural Resources fund.
But while the third quarter will be a blowout for earnings, the easy profit gains for many energy companies are ending, Sturm says. "The energy price environment will moderate but still be in a nicely profitable range for those that are good at it," he says.

The big test was to make sure the drawworks were operating correctly which is the hub of the whole rig. In laymans terms its like a giant reel that a metal cable is connected to and controls raising the derrick, picking up pipe, and of course drilling.
If the rig is setup for testing than it will have to be broken back down for moving. Depending on the crew it should only take 1 day to break down, 1 day to move, and 1 day to put back up. The fourth day they should be able to start drilling.

look for more buying pressure starting next week for AMEP so buying now is a good idea, the last week of October and ito November should be a good indicator for our direction and natural gas profits have pretty much been taken out of the picture and demand has not changed but may have actually increased, look for $15 to $17 pmcf soon imo.

Do not mis-understand me, I love this stock and believe this will be huge in the long run.
If you are doing weekly/daily trading look at the chart, let's hope the MAC doesn't go negative if it does we may see some RED days. Just letting all of you see the chart, it will rebound, my friend says the bottom will be .056-.063 if the MAC does go negative.
Good trading and If I'm wrong, we will all be happy. If I am right get some money reayd to buy more, because we all know this will rebound.

From a technical analysis, the charts look great. It SO obvious what the MMs and group plays are doing with this stock. When the PR came out yesterday, I was surprised to see that it was NOT an announcment of the commencement of operations for the new oil rig they bought, but simply a statement that said it will be up in running in about 10 days. So yes, we have another 10 days of trading with no focus. Then when the press release comes out, we will have a window of speculative but positive trading in anticipation of the quarterly report (this could be about a month). So it is as long road for AMEP in penny stock years, but VERY short in terms of trading normally. So everyone keep positive and load up on shares on days like these.

This is the first time since Sep 1st that the MAC drops below the golden line.
1) How long will it stay below the MAC? 2) A strong PR can reverse the decline 3) The price was .02 when it started it's upclimb
My anaylsis with my program indicates a drop of 4-6 days (without a major PR), chart shows a drop to support of .045-.056, a steady 10% drop per day. When you see a major drop of 15-20% that will be the indicator to rebuy.
Also, noticed this board is quiet on AMEP, when you see the same people that started and pumped AMEP then it will be time to rebuy. If you are long good luck, this is pennyland.
I have freed some money and will wait for the indication to rebuy, every nite I will update my program and see the results and make my decision on basis of it.
Good luck to all, keep and eye for any major news that might impact the reversal of the downtrend.
