Green Baron announced that CMKX was the "buy of a lifetime" for quite some time. They also pushed Pender (PNDR) for quite some time after it dropped drastically.
GB reported dureing about the same time period that both stocks would go up several 100% in short order. When each kept going down, they said "We are quite surprised that..." or "We are looking into why...." It didn't matter to the stock; it just kept going down. Stockholders suckored into holding out with these smooth words of GB went down with the stocks. And as for GB? I think they got paid to advertise the stocks (at least they did for CMKX, not as sure about PNDR).
Thankfully, I didn't hold either stock. I was watching to see if I should get in or not. After that escapade, I have not been much of a supporter of GB (as you can imagine). Beware.
The most damning part of it all was 1) their continued rant about "buy of a lifetime" for CMKX and their failure to ever warn traders that something was wrong, even in the face of a very obviously bad situation.
For me, that's not the kind of stock buy advice I want to read.

I really don't know. It's just that the tone and the wording of some posters sounds like pump-n-dump. When someone says that stock X is going to get some great PR and it will go up XX%, BUT the poster does not tell you any details, THAT is a pump-n-dump scam (even if unintended). The only valid way to post information about a stock is to post detailed information or source/location for the reader to look at it himself.
Even the "I talked to CEO XXX and he said..." are suspect, because they often can't be verified (unless you can reach the CEO and verify it, but most ppl don't try, and aside from it being the lazy way out it is a p-n-d tool...do your own DD or else consider other's DD worth a grain of salt).

Green Baron obviously has a vested interest in these stocks so you have to take anything they say with a grain of salt. Of course, they still have to pick which stock in their stable to push as a monthly feature or top pick. So when they spotlight PLNI it probably means it has more potential than the rest of thier stable of holdings. Now, if their other holdings are all dogs, that doesn't really say much.
All in all, they help attract attention. The vast majority of trades are buys. The only thing keeping this stock down is the massive inventory WDCO is offering. We need some major news to bring in the type of buying that will render WDCOs shares irrellevant -- like some 100 million+ share days.

I suggest you all do some DD on Green Baron. Their history suggests that they get paid to pump a stock, maybe make it their pick of the month. For several months the price goes up. Then all of a sudden nothing more is heard of the stock and the price tanks, leaving shareholders with an empty bag. IMO, GB is nothing more than a paid pumper. Be careful and do your own DD on the stock. Dont trust ANYONE else's DD. If you do, you're asking for another CMKX, which left thousands broke. I have listened to all GB's webcasts, and am not impressed. No useful info is given out, just "Oh, we're a wonderful company with a great future". Now if you owned a company, would you say in an interview "Dont buy our stock, this thing is a dog"??????

Ed, Comparing PLNI to cmkx is like night and day. cmkx has a trillion shares in the O/S with no known assets and PLNI has 1.8 billion. With the right revenue stream 1.8 bil will not be an issue.

The timing of this Nobel prize announcement meshes well with Plasticon's upcoming presentation in Europe. "Green" technology, products, and companies are at the forefront of the current Eurpoean conciousness.
Green Chemistry work wins Nobel Prize
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) -- France's Yves Chauvin and Americans Robert H. Grubbs and Richard R. Schrock won the 2005 Nobel Prize in chemistry Wednesday, for their work to reduce hazardous waste in forming new chemicals.
The trio won the award for their development of the metathesis method in organic synthesis -- which focuses on how chemical bonds are broken and made between carbon atoms, and which the Nobel Prize committee likened to a dance in which the couples change partners.
Metathesis has tremendous commercial potential in the pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and foodstuffs production industries. It is also used in the development of revolutionary polymers.
The process is used "daily in the chemical industry, mainly in the development of pharmaceuticals and advanced plastic materials."
"This represents a great step forward for 'green chemistry,' reducing potentially hazardous waste through smarter production. Metathesis is an example of how important basic science has been applied for the benefit of man, society and the environment," the committee said.
Chauvin, 74, is the honorary director of research at the Institut Francais du Petrole in Rueil-Malmaison, near Paris.
Chauvin is the first Frenchman to win a Nobel Prize since Claude Cohen-Tannoudji won the physics prize in 1997, and joins his famous counterparts Pierre and Marie Curie who shared the 1903 physics prize Antoine Henri Becquerel.
Grubbs, 63, is a professor of chemistry at the California Institute of Technology, and Schrock is a chemistry professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The three men share the 10 million kronor ($1.3 million) award, which will be presented December 10 in the Swedish capital.
On Tuesday, Americans John L. Hall and Roy J. Glauber and German Theodor W. Haensch won the 2005 Nobel Prize in physics for their work in advancing the precision of optic technology, which could improve communication worldwide and help spacecraft navigate more accurately to the stars.
The prize was given to the three for their work in applying modern quantum physics to the study of optics -- a pursuit that has led to the improvement of lasers, optical clocks, GPS technology and other instruments.
On Monday, Australians Barry J. Marshall and Robin Warren won the 2005 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine for proving, partly by accident, that bacteria and not stress was the main cause of painful ulcers of the stomach and intestine.
The award for peace will be announced on Friday in the Norwegian capital, Oslo. The economics prize, the only one not named in Nobel's will, will be announced October 10.
So far, the Swedish Academy, which awards the literature prize, has not yet set a date for its announcement, meaning the award could be announced next week.

My post was not about CMKX, it was about Green Baron. Go look at their past picks and see where they are trading NOW !!! A long time ago, I got the best advice you can EVER get about the stock market: If it isnt in a PR posted for everyone to read, then don't believe it. Subtract from that the number of companies (especially pennies) that file leading PRs with no substance, and you can decide which ones to believe. IMO PLNI has the goods, but they need to get off the dime and get some things completed before everyone forgets who they are. See above from cold....he has the right idea.

Good find success, thanks for posting the link. Just wish it weren't true, but we all know the odds are ProMold will not be announced tomorrow.
Lets all chip in and buy Howe and Turek a calendar and a calculator. Or maybe just some duct tape for their mouths.
I'm beginning to feel like Charlie Brown to these two Lucy's. They put that ball down and tell us this time they really really are about to announce the audit [or ProMold, or SEMCO, or ...] then they pull the ball away. Next day they're back with the same old ball and we all want to believe this is time they won't pull it away. Charles Shultz must have met Jim Turek in his youth.

Interesting MM Action. Notice how NITE is big seller today and WDCO has a close bid. [WDCO wants to sell more, but they don't want to sell it too low.] Mostly buys, but NITE won't budge. I suspect NITE is gambling the stock will fall more than usual tomorrow given the overall market weakness and the 3 day weekend. Friday's are notoriously bad for pinks.
We should get a fluffy PR tomorrow saying how everyone in Spain was impressed with the presentation. If we get something more substancial [though I doubt it] NITE could be the one getting squeezed [hey, I can dream can't I?]. Should be interesting.
