QTV confirms new Gay Games contract Friday, December 3 2004, 23:15 GMT -- by James Welsh
US-based Q Television Network has confirmed that it has negotiated the broadcast rights to the 2006 Gay Games in Chicago.
"This is a major contract for Q Television," said Frank Olsen, the network's president and CEO. "The Gay Games is a monumental event for the Gay and Lesbian community and we are thrilled to be the only television network to have an exclusive contract. We look forward to telling the stories of these amazing athletes to our viewers."
The Gay Games VII will be held on July 15 to July 22, 2006.
Q Television is carried on the RCN cable operator in New York, Boston, and San Francisco, and plans to expand its availability by gaining carriage on digital satellite.
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Along with that this.
This satelite is owned by Dish Network but doen't mean Dish carries them. Q's signal is carried on this satelite. EchoStar 9/Intelsat Americas 13 at 121.0°W http://www.lyngsat.com/echo9ia13.html
What does it mean. Hopefully something good.

the bashers aren't that good...they keep talking as if shares of the shell have anything to do with qbid shares...i've owned a number of parent & sibling stocks, one has nothing to do with the other

If I were the owner, I'd not tell anyone about any new carriers until after I had completed the buyback. It just seems like good business not to do a whole lot to run the PPS up until after I completed the buy back. The buyback has been in the works for months now, or at least the plan has been common knowledge that long.
Frank's said he would be done by the 10th.
Here's where I go out on a limb and predict that we hear about at least two carriers next week.
Again, JMHO.
Dakota told you that......

I agree Dakota, imo, Also new people make your own decisions. Don't invest what you can't afford to loose. Good luck.

Over 400 million shares were purchased through the buyback program and we are pleased to announce that contracts with DishNetwork and Comcast have been signed. Programming will be available to subscribers beginning January 3, 2005
Boy wouldn't that put a smile on my face!?! I can dream can't I?

Couple questions, mainly looking for theories I suppose
1. If they were 60% done the back at the time of the cc, why are they just finishing?
2. Why would they announce the end of the buyback before it happens? It seems not to be the case with qbid, but with good news usually comes a higher PPS. Wouldn't that be opposite of what they want in a buyback?
3. It has been mentioned that the MM's were making a test run last week to see what would happen with QBID. What are they trying to figure out when they make a test run? I guess they could be trying to get everyones jump-off points. One thing I think is very promising though is we didn't even break 1 billion volume and almost got to .01. So perhaps that shows people are learning to hold on? Matt

Remember, that's speculation and like firefly said, do some dd and never put more on the table than you can afford to loose.
That post was for the reg. QBIDders and anyone who gets in should do it through analyzing the company, not by analyzing our post.

I know Dakota. I am not a fool like some who buy or sell on someone elses words. I do my own dd and only buy or sell if I think it is the best decision.

They don't have to test my jump off point. I'm out for 50K at .10, then another 50K at .50, then I'm holding till one of us dies or I'm a millionair.
Wish I had the money (and smarts/guts) to swing this stuff. Lots of people will make lots of bucks before this one hits the big market.
I'm small potatos but I have enough to get rich if it does anywhere close to what people think it will. That's the beauty of the pinks. Most are junk or scams or somebody's dream. Some turn into nightmares (AMCM/AFRR/NEXH) others are dreams come true.
I've been in and still own several pennies. QBID is, IMHO, one of the dream come true stocks. Am I pumping it, he** yeah, but there's lots of DD out there to support my position.
Great posts guys/gals (Check Ric's post on page 1 of the old post, it's all there. Keep the faith...... Dakota told you that......

One therory is: they don't need to buy back much and from what I heard there is a finance agreement where pps has to be over .05 buy first of year. I don't know if this is true. But if they can get price to raise right before carriers listed. Oh well, just thinking out loud. We will probably never know for sure.

Hope Frank tell the number retired. We can figure the OS closer to what's been speculated. I suspect all he needs to say or will tell is that 2% was bought back. I'm still confused about how much is out there and what the float is. I've seen several different numbers.

they dont want exact info out untill they are ready tolet this thing go. they need the price low for now. it will fly as soon as they want it to. in the pinks the CEO controls the price by giveing info or fluff. the market deosnt like fluff. the market likes clearity. through a bit of confusion out there anrd the rumours start flying, and no one is certain what to think. throw some solid facts out and the market can digest that and adjust the pps accordingly
Rod told ya that lol
sorry i couldnt resist the tag line Dakota ;-)

This issue has been going on for so long. I really think we have a good idea. 1 Big and skunks and Ric really seem to have this down. Along with cc. and pr today. I am really to tired to go back through this again. Sorry Dakota, and mrs's. You make a valid point but unless we are off pinks we won't see the numbers.

PlanetOut (LGBT) RBC Capital Mkts initiates OUTPERFORM. Target $16. According to firm the gay and lesbian community is an underserved mkt, but is becoming more mainstream as more gay-themed programs and publications have appeared recently. Firm sees the co's business model as highly scalable with the marginal cost of each new subscriber low relative to the incremental rev generated and believes the co has several growth opportunities still ahead, including: 1) growing traffic and memberships more aggressively through increased investment; 2) adding new features and converting more users to paid subscriptions; 3) increasing ad inventory through broader and deeper content; 4) expanding its international presence; and 5) leveraging its brand and reach into other mediums.
