Hey all,, just got back from the Army/Navy game where we handed them another one Wow, what a site to come back to, bashers and bad news. Im sorry bout the loss,, and bashers,, there are other sites to go to,, this forum is more of a community. I think if you are intelligent enough to set up an account and make a trade,, you are intelligent enough to realize that money off the market isnt guaranteed, and losses are possible. The way I see it,, I'd rather lose money doing this then on beer,, atleast I have less chances of being arrested. see ya'll in the chat

My neighbor and I met for lunch. He asked me, "Did you notice the new gay channel on 255?" I played dumb to hear what he was going to say. He said it's a new G&L station and his wife loves it, and he likes a lot of the shows. Then I told him I am a stock holder and that it will be scrambled soon. Anyway...he is going to buy stock tomorrow and susbscribe too! - - - - -
I would love to hear your friends (or anyones!) opinions about the shows. I would love to hear from someone who has actually seen the programs - especially the live show.
If there is anyway someone can create a link to a preview of any of the shows - that would be exciting as well.
As much as I believe in Q, I would really like to see the actual product.

Viacom knows th G/L community will not pay good money for the type of programing they offer. This demographic is working with $600 Billion Dollars of Discretionary income for a reason. Their numbers tend to be much better educated than than any other segment of society or minority. Viacom's Sumner Redstone wants to get in on the gold rush & he knows that MTV's form of programing is unlikely to attract & hold this customer. MTV has made a mint by programing in such a way as not to challenge their audience on a cognitive level. Viacom may never launch LOGO,,,unless they buy QBID!
Frank has a history of developing & selling media companies. That's what he's doing now!!!! He may not say it but he will sell. When he has said there will be no reverse split as long as I'm a part of this company he's not saying there will never be a reverse split. He's saying it will not occur while he's the owner! He doesn't care about O/S. He simply cares about owning controlling interest. $3.80 a share for 1.5 billion shares is the same as .38 a share for 15 billion shares.
Frank has said this will be worth about $5 Billion in 5 years. I guarantee you he will not own this 5 years from now. Frank will sell the whole thing for approximately $6 billion in less than two years. Viacom's first bid will be about .24! They'll settle at .38
On the off chance Frank does not sell. Look for a buck a share easy!

agreed whiz but i'm guessing not before the games. frank isn't foolish & the publicity & name brand recognition will be at its greatest then. as for the o/s, i think he knows the better that is for pps the more he gets paid. ric had mentioned this & it would be smart, all insider shares converted into preferred shares. get them out of the float, then according to the agreement whatever that is buy that 6 billion used for the games back all before selling. a true businessman hates leaving money on the table.
Just looking over briefly on that stock you asked about. First thing right off the bat that hit me is what they do. I know a little about this playing JDSU for so long. Fiber Optics is down right now as a industry. But the good thing is it is coming back real soon. Well continue to research it for you just a comment on the industry its in.

Q Television Will Offer Gay and Lesbian Programming
Q Television Network, headquartered in California, has announced it will launch a subscriber channel for the gay and lesbian community in July 2004. An industry soft launch for carriers and advertisers began June 1, 2004. The network is available for viewing on Intelsat America's 7, 129 degrees West, Channel 1. The network will broadcast 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Q Television will not be without competition. Q's annoucement comes just as MTV Networks announced it would soon be launching LOGO, a gay and lesbian cable network, in February, 2005.
In a pre-public move to preview a sample of its programming to cable and satellite industry professionals, as well as potential advertisers, Q Television Network will offer a compressed daily broadcast that includes featured programs.
Executive vice president Steven Grunberg said, "This is built by and for the gay community. Rather than a smattering of stereotyped gay characters offered because current market projections indicate it would be profitable, we offer a channel that will unite the gay and lesbian audience through a network that educates, entertains and informs - a network of real value."
Q Television president and chairman Frank Olsen, an entrepreneur with a significant background in broadcast, was instrumental in the launch of The Movie Channel prior to its acquisition by Showtime. A pioneer in the development of new radio broadcast formats throughout his 40-year career, Olsen helped create African American radio and started the first gay radio stations.
"Just as CNN had tremendous hurdles to overcome, Frank and Q Television Network have had an uphill battle in the launch of Q Television," said CFO Rene Schenk. "Q Television is positioned to successfully meet the demand that exists for a gay family channel."
Q Television Network will offer a combination of original and acquired programming, which includes sports, fashion, travel, health & fitness, talk shows, plays, documentaries and movies. Teams of producers and directors will also bring breaking stories of interest to the network's audience via access to bureaus in Washington, D.C., New York, London, Paris, Moscow, Jerusalem and Iraq.
A preview of original programming premiered in May at the National Cable & Telecommunication Association's annual industry conference and was also included in a successful five-hour sample broadcast on May 15, which aired on Cox Cable in Louisiana and Comcast in the Puget Sound Region. Included in that preview was I Will, I Do, We Did, an original Q Television documentary exploring gay and lesbian marriage in America that offers an inside glimpse of the challenges faced by this community. Independent films, such as An Intimate Friendship and Straightman, are other examples of what will be available on the network, as well as commercial fare such as Bette Midler's "Divine Madness" concert.

Hi Mark, If you are talking about Medvid (sp) Quote Tracker, yes I use it daily. It is a freeby, I have not paid the registration fee, all that does is get rid of the few ads. Also, I use mine in conjunction with Ameritrade and that gives me real time data. Later, Steve

Dearest Sweet Diana, Aren't you the nice lady who is gonna' rent a floor in a Vegas hotel/casino when QBID reaches $5.00? Yah, I thought so. Very nice of you to do that for all of us. I have a really beeeg favor to ask of you. Here goes, I got 6 whiskey drinking friends who would really like to go to Vegas when you get rich and famous. Suppose you could include them also. They are really looking forward to your positive answer. Also, could you make room for a 16 year old mother and a 2year old and a 1 year old child? Looking forward for your reply, Steve

1) Who is your broker? In most cases the broker would be the best choice for a source in QuoteTracker if you want free quote data
2) You can use Scottrade for free streaming quotes with QuoteTracker. register for free at https://www.scottrader.com/agreements/register.asp (You do not need to be a client. Just need a US address). Once registered, just select "SCOTTRADE STREAMING (FREE Registration)" as the site to get the quotes from. That datafeed leaves something to be desired though. Its max 10 symbols and the volumes are totally incorrect. But OK for charting

So guys, I have been lurking here for a while but just never posted.
Great info so far, but I have yet to see the results that have been talked about. What is the outlook for QBID this week? You think we'll have a nice rise before x-mas?
