Thank you so much for your valued advice and caring so much about my well being. I'm sure I don't know as much as some of "you". I do know I have made more off of Q this year than I did all the last year I worked in the "real" world as a Nurse. Sitting on my A$$ at home getting to watch my little one grow up. Not too shabby for someone that has no idea what they are doing I guess.

One more thing.....Don't play the lottery. I'm a control freak........Like to have control of my money. Now have a great day and BITE ME! Don't concern your self with what I do with my money.... My husband thinks that's his job.

as you so aptly stated very few make it big. the operative word is few, thus stating that some do. the ones that do have something new, maybe a bit bold, but basicly a product that can't be found elsewhere. hmmmmmm....a g/l tv network in the U.S. not what i would call a flooded market, as a matter of fact there are 2 on the air now. second thing needed is a quality product. one tailored to the market its going to be sold in. a tv network made by gay's for gay's. might just work. there are a few peices of the puzzle left, more carriers, will the programming add to the g/l community & a share structure that causes a demand shortage. only time will tell but the possibilities are there & the odds of winning are getting better every day.

I want to thank you daytrader for setting all these things straight. I will now sell all my shares in QBID so I won't lose money ( I'm even going to send back all the money I already made in it if you will just tell me were to send it ) Now that you have explained to all of us how to make money in stocks I think your job is done and you are probably needed elsewhere so good luck to you and thanks for the help.

Newbie here, just started investing. Been watching this board for several days and have learned a lot from all of you. Picked a bad time to logon with all the Q bashing. But I think the majority of you know what you are talking about and I hope that is who "Newbies" like me listen to. You are one way for us to learn and grow as investors. Thanks for the heads up on all the bashers and pumpers. Go Q!!!!!!!

Hello everyone! Like to thank the select few and you know who you are, for their daily contributions to the board. I been on the sidelines for some time now just absorbing the opinions and feedback from everyone.
I've been institutionalized for 20yrs and now this army man will turn in his beret next week for good. Big up to the veterans!
I am not the sharpest tool in the shed but, it didn't take long after doing the math on this to realize the potential of the stock compared to some of the others. I think for the investment it is definitely worth the risk.
I have discovered for myself as an investor you should be agressive(risk), patience, (time for the stock to blow up), and disciplined (to weather the volitile ups and downs). This is JMHO from my experience of trading. Daytraders may see it different than that. Holding 1.4 mil and waiting for the day of .10

Hi all....... just stopping in to say hello. Not a good morning here. I posted yesterday about my Aunt (gay) and her partner.
Got a call from my aunt this morning that her partner died in her sleep.
She has been battling diabetes for years and finally got her sugar under control. Finally after losing her site and the function of her kidneys. She was getting better.
I guess her body was just too tired.
My Aunt is not in good shape today and have decided to go down and be with her.
She does not have a huge support system..... it's hard enough being in gay relationship...Hard enough to try and find people that can accept it but....when it comes down to it...they are there for her (co-workers..etc..) but look at it as if, it was just a close friend has died and not the person you have loved for the last 40 years.
She called the hospital she works for and told them she would need her deserved time off that one would take when they lose a spouce. They told her she would only be able to have 3 days. Not the normal 2 weeks, as this was not a spouce but, was eligible for the time that someone would use if they lost a parent or sibling. That the two weeks were only for spouces or children.....VERY SAD...
40 years together......22 years on the job... and given 3 DAYS.....Things have got to change.
Sorry for rambling.....Been a rough morning.
Good day to all.
Lil

good morning everyone, Lil, i am deeply feeling sorry for your relative's loss. Welcome all newbies. One thing I learned here, when the bashers come back to this threat, Qbid pps goes up. I dunno about losing money trading Qbid, but I did a few swings here and there and have made some beer money; and my porfolio up 45%. So bashers, go eat my kids' diapers. If you decide to take position on qbid, this is the best board you come to. The people here are supportive and knowledgeable. As Terry said, it becomes an extended family. Potential is priceless...Hold on to yours. Whiz, we need your word of wisdom here...

Viacom knows th G/L community will not pay good money for the type of programing they offer. This demographic is working with $600 Billion Dollars of Discretionary income for a reason. Their numbers tend to be much better educated than than any other segment of society or minority. Viacom's Sumner Redstone wants to get in on the gold rush & he knows that MTV's form of programing is unlikely to attract & hold this customer. MTV has made a mint by programing in such a way as not to challenge their audience on a cognitive level. Viacom may never launch LOGO,,,unless they buy QBID!
Frank has a history of developing & selling media companies. That's what he's doing now!!!! He may not say it but he will sell. When he has said there will be no reverse split as long as I'm a part of this company he's not saying there will never be a reverse split. He's saying it will not occur while he's the owner! He doesn't care about O/S. He simply cares about owning controlling interest. $3.80 a share for 1.5 billion shares is the same as .38 a share for 15 billion shares.
Frank has said this will be worth about $5 Billion in 5 years. I guarantee you he will not own this 5 years from now. Frank will sell the whole thing for approximately $6 billion in less than two years. Viacom's first bid will be about .24! They'll settle at .38
On the off chance Frank does not sell. Look for a buck a share easy!
What are you doing on line? Just saw on CBS the Titans are playing against Peyton Manning.
Welcome to new members.
Bashers--although you never really left us, it is always somewhat comforting and entertaining to read your dribble. U made some great profits on the last run.
Looking for a fantastic Q week.

Q: When will LOGO launch? February 17, 2005 Q: Why announce the launch now? We feel this is the right time to launch this channel for a number of reasons. Most important, we think we now have the right positioning, branding and people in place to make this new channel work and serve the audience in the best way. Market conditions are also much more favorable today than they were a couple years ago when we first started working on this idea. MTV Networks and Viacom are in great shape to invest in a new cable network. Q: How did you choose the name and what does it stand for? The name LOGO appeals to a broad range of viewers and signifies the many meanings of identity. Our vision is to always reflect the diversity of the LGBT experience. The name is not an obvious pun or play on words; it's not clichėd or dated as could have easily been by using well known symbols. 'Different Together' represents how the LGBT community is amazingly diverse, but joined by similar points of view, experiences and sensibilities. We created the name and branding in-house. We have a dual use agreement with the trademark holder and we do not foresee any conflict, as it's used only for business to business. We had a range of other names, one of which regrettably leaked even after we had ruled it out. Q: What will be the mix between original and acquired programming? In its initial phase, we are planning to have 75% acquired/licensed programming and 25% original series and specials. As the network matures, we expect to increase the amount of original programming we air as well as work with our sister networks at MTVN to create joint programming. As LOGO matures, its voice will be refined. We expect this network to constantly grow and become better and better at reflecting its audience. Q: Can you give us a sense of any acquisitions or original programming concepts in the works? At this time, we are not announcing any specifics about programming. We plan to give a complete look at our programming at The TV Critics Association meeting in July. We are in active development on over 40 original concepts as well as including programming developed jointly with our sister networks - MTV, VH1, TV Land, CMT, and Comedy Central as well as Showtime and CBS News in the Viacom family. In addition, we have deals in place to acquire programming from a wide range of studios including Sony, Warner Brothers, MGM, Paramount, Lion's Gate, Showtime, The Sundance Channel and Strand Releasing. Among the 100 titles include: Gods & Monsters; Serving in Silence (Glenn Close & Barbara Streisand project); Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. Q: The LGBT audience is so diverse, who specifically, will you program to? We are seeking to program LOGO for the entire, diverse LGBT audience and the friends and family who love them. Our goal is to create a home for our viewers. We will reflect the full range of perspectives and opinions on the many issues that face the gay and lesbian communities. Having a 24/7 network means a lot of programming hours to fill - so we plan to have something for everyone. All television networks have targeted sweet spots and ours would be LGBT viewers from 25-49. Q: What markets will you launch in? Our goal is to be everywhere, because the gay and lesbian community is everywhere. LOGO will launch in a variety of markets across America, including Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta and San Francisco, through national cable operators, including Time Warner Cable, RCN and additional distributors that will be announced in the coming weeks. Q: How can i get the channel? Call your local cable or satellite provider. Q: Who will advertise on the channel? We will be announcing a list of charter advertisers shortly. However, we are in discussions with many companies that already market to the gay audience such as General Motors, American Express, Avis, Pfizer and many others. We already have some commitments from companies such as Orbitz, but we have just begun to reach out to advertisers. Q: How can I submit an idea for original programming to LOGO? To submit a proposal to LOGO's original development department use the feedback form on the Contact Logo page. From the pulldown menu select "Show Ideas" and include your name, phone number, and e-mail address to have the submission release form e-mailed to you. You may also send a one page request for a submission release form to the address below and the form will be mailed to you.
