Actually there was a short discussion on the program list last night. My Girlfriend's Boyfriend is the movie that was shown on Pridevision & also shown on Q's signal test on the same night, leading to all of my above speculation.
It's also Debbie Gibson ex-pop-star's screen debut.
Odd that they haven't featured their own exclusive program on gay weddings in their program list?

BB, I was thinking exactly that about their doc, too. The best answer I can think of is that they don't have any art for it yet, and that it must be coming soon. And hopefully chosen by Deveney, or whoever approved the look of the much-improved website. I guess they need to work through Redsoapbox to get that going as well, so that could just be an added series of back-n-forths before they come up with the twosheet, the package art, etc. And if they stream clips from it on the site any time soon, that would have me doing handstands. I imagine like most Networks eventually they would need a "store" section on their site to sell DVD's of any original programming they produce, so I can understand it taking some time with the first one. (Not too much time, though, at this critical stage.) I think we will be happy once they promote it. Cheers all.

Hello all,

Haven't watched the stock or the site in a few days.

Pharm... So you're flying to San Diego... where were you?

Great detective work from BB & Diana and many more. Thank-you!

Per the suggestions from 5-27-04, I've been sending e-mails to newspapers one at a time (copy & paste). Mainly just suggesting they check out how long Triangle Network & QTV have been working through sweat & tears to get this programming launched. Copied the PR and put Triangle Network's and Deveney's telephone number in the email hoping anyone interested would telephone them directly rather then email me... I'm not that confident in my knowledge of QTV to talk off the tip of my tongue!!

Best Wishes to everyone!

Hi!

The consensus is LOGO is still aiming for February 2005 launch. I'm sure we'll all be checking on them every now & then!

Anyway... look on page 1 of this thread, pennytrader comment & then Winsumlosesum (posted May 28 2004, 10:30) gave us an article to read where it shows Feb 2005 launch, but a mid-July programming sample guide or something like that... read the article Winsumlosesum highlights for us and you'll see where their dates could be misread.

Then read following post by Dakota's Missus and AF1 for their follow-up to that article.

Do your own DD though to see if you come up with anything else! But for now, February 2005 looks like the plan for LOGO launch.

Have a great Saturday... I'm signing off for the day.

doing some weekend searching for out little Q, and found some intersting things, further supporting my idea (and many others) that Logo will not hurt us. The gay and lesbian community are a savy group. They are aware of who wants to help their *cause*, and who wants to profit from them. again 500billion dollar spendable income, something like 65% of them are willing to pay more (thats out of 20 million) for a product aimed at them. I like those numbers.

Q-Television is made by the gay comminuty for the gay community. I do believe it will take them longer to become a great channel than it would take viacoms' mtv, however I also believe they have the support of the gay community. They will launch and they will succeed! Here is a link of an article I found. I know this has been posted but I am also posting responses to this article from the gay financial networks site.
****************************
Q TV Will Debut in July
May 26, 2004
Gfn.com News

The Q Television Network, a subscriber channel for the gay and lesbian market will beat Logo to the airwaves when it debuts in July 2004, with a "soft" launch for advertisers set for June 1.

The Q Television Network says it will offer a combination of original and acquired programming, including sports, fashion, travel, health & fitness, talk shows, plays, documentaries and movies.

Programming will include “I Will, I Do, We Did,” an original Q Television documentary exploring gay and lesbian marriage in America. The company says the independent films, “An Intimate Friendship," “Straightman,” and Bette Midler’s “Divine Madness” concert are examples of what will be available on the network.

The company's programming will be available on a subscription basis. Beginning June 1, the network will be available for viewing on Intelsat America’s 7, 129 degrees West, Channel 1.

now responses to the article:

1.) Now is the time!!!
Benuff
May 27, 2004

We asked for it... we got it!!! Is time for us to step up and support Qtelevision.... might as well make a few bucks ourselves. Buy the stock (QBID) you'll make more than enough money to to subscribe to OUR station. Its not about the big guy (MTV) lining their pockets, its about us! Its family time! Programming for the gay community. Pride all year long. Imagine that.

2.) Goliath meet DAVID!
Tom Harrison
May 27, 2004

O.K. Guys and gals, I think we have a "movement" on our hands! And we're good at standing up for what we want! QTV is for US, MTV is a crock from a bunch of money hounds! Tell evryone you know that we need to support Q television--and shun LOGO, this is BS! MTV is just jumping on the bandwagon--The Q is our "David" and he's looking mighty cute! SUPPORT Q TELEVISON--By gays for gays--They launch officially on JULY 1, GET THE WORD OUT BOYS AND GIRLS! GAY and very PROUD of QTV!www.qtelevison.com--SO excited!

3.) RE: Goliath meet DAVID!
BigPete
May 28, 2004

I completely agree!!! MTV didn't do anything for 2 years with their launch, now all of a sudden, they want to copy from the Q-Network!!

The Q-Network is the only network to watch if you want real, quality programming.

By, for, and from the Gay Community

Call your local Satellite, Cable companies and request THE Q-NETWORK!!

4.) for the people...
Aspireon
May 27, 2004

for the people by the people = Qtelevision. Once again its up to the community to support our own! Viacom and MTV taking there time (2005), but nonetheless, trying to get our gay dollars. At least Qtelevision is gay owned.

5.) RE: for the people...
WSB
May 27, 2004

yes ur absolutely correct. as a gay male i will NOT support in any Gay station from MTV. Growing up watching MTV, i realized early on they were very explotive. From the research i've done into Qtv...it has been the dream of the CEO's for manny many years to bring Qtv to HIS people...Qtv is "family" owned...i'm not interested in lining the pockets of a mostly straight organization...MTV...i want my Gay TV produced FOR GAYS BY GAYS...cant wait...QTV!!! ;D

Greetings,

If your interested in supporting this endevour and making some money as well, buy some stock now. It's still an inexpensive penny stock right now and trades under the symbol qbid.pk It won't stay inexpensive for long, once it starts broadcasting 24/7. Enjoy.......<--- probably someone from this board =)
7.) RE: RE: for the people...
Dan
May 27, 2004

Another stock pumper.

QBID, also known as Triangle Television Network has been trying to launch a gay network for years. It has had a number of fake launches, it has ripped off the gay media, and has been doing nothing but selling stock for years. It has no content. The corporation operates in Calif. and doesn't even legally exist there. This has always been a penny stock fraud. Maybe they will pull it off this time, but their track record is not good. <--- who needs him? moron!!!

Um Dan, your talking over your head man... I don't know why you'd like to make them sound like a fkae when I watched their signal feed on the 15th of May, and was thoroughly impressed by it... it was on cox down here in new orleans for about 5 hours(channel 10)... I doubt a scam would acquire "fake" air time sheeehs...
always haters...

9.) RE: RE: RE: for the people...
Matt
May 28, 2004

Hi Dan,

Good points. I looked into it and yes they have had previous problems in the past... In particular, the last situation came around the time of the 911 tragedy. I think it's safe to say that around that time lots of businesses had trouble. So it is completely understandable why it would have been detrimental for them to launch at that time. But now seems to be the perfect time for this to happen (gay marriages and all) and with MTV not launching until next year, MTV is allowing QTV to run with this for at least 8 months before MTV launches on thier predicted date of Feb, 2005, thus missing out on current news.

I find it particularly funny that recently they (MTV) announced that it was not lucrative for them to start a gay network... Now it seems they're riding off of the vision QTV had years ago. I sure hope QTV launches as it will be a sincere gay network runned by gay indviduals and not just a money making venture from corporate America.

Anyhow, we'll find out this Tuesday whether QTV will have thier act together or not, as they will be doing an industry soft launch. This Tuesday will be quite telling!

Matt

I think the whole "family network" angle is Q's strength. Logo can buy whatever family programming they want to show from Triangle (more $$ for QBID) but inevitably Logo will be pushed in an edgier direction.

Different advertisers, programming, audience... but they can help each other by pushing the envelope to gay tv together.

futuresobjective> Thanks for the DD! I've been rationalizing LOGO's effect on The Q in this manner but was not able to satisfactorally substantiate it.

I hate to admit this, but I didn't realize Frank was gay. In my mind, that SEALS THE DEAL! If it's humanly possible, Frank will make this work. He's not just doing it for money, IMHO...he's wanting to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in his community. I, for one, applaud his efforts and am very proud to be a part of this endeavor. All of us want to leave a mark that says we were here...this is Frank's way of doing it his way. Way to go Frank!!

It's a beautiful weekend here...going ATVing tomorow, fishing Monday, and QBIDing on Tuesday! Could it get any better than this!

DarDog, Thanks for your response!

Actually I was just asking for "HALF" of One Percent of 500 Billion Bucks! That would be "only" (LOL) Two & a Half Billion Dollars> But the really important question would be does anyone think we can draw that kind of revenue. I genuinely believe we can.
Wonder what revenues of 2.5 billion would do to our share price?

Q longs, the most encouraging thing about QBID in terms of technical analysis is the fact that, in the last 6 weeks of trading, ever since Q cracked through the penny barrier, it has never closed below .01. In fact, despite occasional intraday dips, it has traded very consistently between support at .012 and resistance at .018. This consolidation in anticipation of further progress and positive news is extremely healthy and a very optimistic sign for the future. The Viacom news didn't dent QBID at all, and in fact, Q TV has gotten the benefit of free publicity in mentions alongside LOGO and in some cases even been very favorably compared to the LOGO model. It is playing cattle egret to Viacom's cow, that is, riding the Viacom PR coattails. It was probably unintentional on the part of Q TV management, but it certainly is a fortuitous bit of good timing. To paraphrase Three Dog Night, "Everything is Q-tiful, in its own way." Finally, without preaching too much, let us not fail to remember that the reason we are all able to enjoy the fruits of free enterprise and, specifically, market trading is that brave men and women have sacrificed their lives to preserve our common freedom. How small all our QBID and other squabbles seem in comparison. Have a great holiday weekend, fellow traders. Prosperity to all QBID longs!

Wiz, be carefull how you word that. There is a network trading under or close to $1, I forget the name but I'm sure someone will post it.

Now what I wanted to say is, we might open at .02 but as most expierenced traders would say "it almost always fills the gap at some point" . Heres my prediction which I'm usually wrong anyway -
June 1st - Opens at .02 but fills the gap during the day and closes lower.
June 2nd - Closes up 20%
End of week closes at a PPS of .027

It is a small world.
I was at a Memorial Day barbaque this afternoon in Provincetown--the Gay mecca on Cape Cod. People were milling around. A friend introduced me to a guy she was talking to. "He's from MTV," she says. The guy turns around and I see LOGO on his jacket. "Oh," I say, the gay channel. "Yes," he says. "You're our competetor," I say. A blank stare from him. "I'm a shareholder in Q Television." "Oh, he says, "good luck. I don't think they'll do so well." "Oh really?I say. When are you launching." "Febuary," he says. "Well, Q Television is launching in July." A few more words exchange and he leaves.
The best part of all this: a woman had been standing there, listening. After he left, I was going on and on about Q televsion. The woman says: Why haven't we heard about this? I said, who is WE. She says, "The Boston Globe. I'm a reporter for the Globe." We talk for a few minutes. I tell her all about Q Television, the soft launch on Tuesday/hard launch in July/
"Who can I talk to at Q Television and how do I contact them?" I say, Frank Olson and that I can get her the phone number....She gives me her business card.
I will email the Q Television tonight to give them the heads up and the reporter's name so they know to expect her call. I will also give them her email so they can contact her or give her Franks private phone number.
I don't know where any of this will go, but it was so exciting...synchronistic!!
For those who believe "there are no conincidences...this one was unbelievable.
I later found out that the Boston Globe is owned by The New York Times...

Posative posts like this, show us all how fortunate we are, if we are long, and how stupid we were, if we sold short.

Actually there was two if you want to call them networks but they're not. One trades for about .50 & the other, Pride, trades close to a dollar Canadian. QBID is better than both & isn't even off the ground yet.

I Hope You're Right!

Great work, fb!

Guys, that .02 was just a fluke which occured more than an hour after closing at .0148. It means nothing. I hope we have a nice gap up Tuesday, but i doubt it'll be near .02. Lord, please make me wrong. I'ts fun to dream.

Did anyone see George Michael (from Wham) on Oprah last week? He finally came clean about his naughty bathroom fiasco. Basically, the undercover cop was 'pleasuring himself' and giving George the eye. George says 'So, I responded in kind' (whatever that means). The climate has changed. The women in the audience were swooning before his confession and didn't blink after. They loved him!!! They accepted him. It's a whole new world, where a career isn't ended by this news. In fact, this was the first step in his comeback. He was promoting his new CD. He also brought along his mate-of-8-years. Yes, a guy. I think his name was Farmboy or something.
