Hey Whiz,

Have you ever heard of cancelling a payment on your visa card? Happens all the time. That is why you will not get your dvd until the four months have passed. If they sent the dvd right away people would cancel as soon as the dvd arrived.

Aside from all that I continue to accumulate at these levels because I believe this company is here for the long haul. I might take some profits at .50 but as usual with a penny investment I will hold a nice size core position.

GameZnFlix Confirms Competitive Advantage by Offering Video Games and DVD Movies for One Monthly Price
PR Newswire - October 18, 2004 11:04

FRANKLIN, Ky., Oct 18, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- GameZnFlix, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: GZFX), an online provider of video games and DVD movies, today confirms its competitive advantage over other online DVD rental companies. With the recent NetFlix offering of a lower monthly subscription price for a limited number of DVD's, GameZnFlix wishes to point out that it remains a leader in cost effective home entertainment by offering unlimited rentals of video games and DVD movies rentals for $18.50 a month with opportunity for its members to purchase video games and DVD movies at a membership discounted prices.

"The basic plan, which is only one of our five membership plans, allows subscribers to have up to 3 DVD's and/or video games in their procession at anytime. So, ultimately, it is possible for a GameZnFlix subscriber to watch a new movie every day of the week," stated Gary Hohman, President.

Mr. Hohman also stated, "The online rental market is becoming more competitive, which is actually an advantage for our small company. Companies such as Blockbuster, NetFlix & Wal-Mart are introducing online rental service to the consumers with their larger marketing budgets. We have the advantage of lower overhead and streamlined systems, which don't necessitate the sorts of revenues they require for us to achieve profitability. This is a large market which, we believe, hasn't grown to its full potential; there is, therefore, room for several competitors."

Michael Reader, VP of Sales & Marketing stated: "With over 28,000 titles, which include video games and our competitive offerings, I am confident that our company will continue to grow and carve out our niche in this competitive market. Once the bigger players educate the market place, we are confident that consumers will be focus more on price and thus look to our company."

GameZnFlix is a company that offers video games/DVD movies rentals or purchase on the Internet with access to over about 28,000 games and movie titles. Beginning at $18.50 a month subscribers can rent a combination of both video games and/or DVD movies with no late fees or due dates or members can purchase video games and/or DVD movie titles at a membership discount.

The latest issue of InfoWorld (18 October 2004 - Issue 42 - The one with the google appliance on the cover) has on page 18 (under the Tech Watch section) an article about Akamai and Speedera’s on-demand delivery of distributed applications such as site search and registration. The article takes up all of page 18 and right in the middle of the whole thing is a pictured example of how Akamai’s Lucene site search application is being used. The picture is of a search result of Tom Cruise from GameznFlix’s website. Above the search results one can clearly see the ‘Free Trial’ banner icon along with ‘Game & DVD Rentals Delivered to your home’ with ‘Unlimited Rentals’ underneath that.

Just thought it was neat ...

NETFLIX REVIEWS
=============================================
Update 2/18/03: After I wrote this review I re-subscribed with NetFlix, so far I have had to deal with multiple customer service problems; not getting DVDs on time etc. I will be updating this review as time goes on.

I had been re-subscribed for about three weeks and have only received 5 DVDs due to slow mailings, and confusion with my account/credit card. Apparently the increase in customers has effected the customer service department; a main reason why I recommended this site in the first place. I have canceled my subscription (not sure if my credit card will refunded), only this time for poor customer relations.

Update 3/9/03: So far I have been charged for a months subscription and I continue to get DVDs in the mail. This is great if I wanted to be a NetFlix user, the only problem is, is I canceled my account over three weeks ago and no longer desire to be a NetFlix user. NetFlix states that you can cancel at anytime, however this has not been the case. I'm down-rating my review to 1 star. I don't know what happened with this site, but I had originally rated this service at almost 4 stars due to the relatively good experience I had with this site, and was recommended. I have been told that I will be fully refunded by NetFlix, even for the three weeks that I continued to get DVDs (if this is the case I will up-rate back to 2 stars). So far I have not received a refund and continue to get DVDs in the mail; kinda reminds me of my subscription with Car And Driver magazine.
---------------------------------------------

Netflix is not all bad. They have an extensive inventory of DVDs, carrying many titles that you will not find at your local video stores: for example, the mini-series “I Claudius,” which was the reason I signed up with Netflix in the first place.

Ummm......I was going to list all the good things about Netflix, but I am afraid that the last thing I mentioned was the only good thing I can think of.

Cost.

I signed up for the $19.95 plan, which means the I have three DVDs signed out to me. I am charged $21.25, because for some unknown reason Netflix collects sales tax, although they have no presence in the state of Florida. My DVDs come from Duluth, Georgia. On average, each DVD cost me $2.00 to rent, plus a trip to the Post Office when I return them.

I can rent DVDs locally for about $3.50 at Blockbuster or Hollywood Video and $1.00 at Albertson’s. I can keep these DVDs for three to five days (one day for new releases at Albertson’s), whereas, I usually return Netflix DVDs the next day because of the mail delay factor. I am able to do this marathon video viewing because I am retired. Chances are that Netflix DVDs might cost others somewhat more than $2.00 each if they have other demands on their time.
---------------------------------------------

4. No driving. No lines. No hassles Well, you won’t have to deal with lines, but you might have to wait for some titles to arrive, even if they are showing as ‘available’ at the site. As far as no hassles, that is hit or miss when you are dealing with some customer service people…

5. Always have up to 3 DVD’s at home This is something that they really need to clarify since they offer different membership levels and different prices. Just because you have the ability to have three DVD’s out at a time doesn’t mean that you will always have the chance to get them off your list and into your hands.

6. No commitments. Cancel anytime. You have the option to cancel whenever you want but you won’t be given any type of a prorated refund if you cancel in the middle of the month. Any DVD’s that are still out when you cancel your membership need to be returned ASAP to avoid having your credit card charged for them. Read the internet long enough and you’ll get the chance to read the horror stories of double billings and being billed after you cancel
---------------------------------------------

Why I hated Netflix: Lousy availability of new movies; terrible turn-around time; bonus disks are considered a full rental and are not shipped with the movies (how weird is that! Why should a two-disk set count as two? It’s one movie for goodness sake!); and most importantly you're LOCKED INTO a monthly fee whether or not you use the service. So--stop reading right here and check out a better option! RentDVDHere or, if you don't want to be locked into monthly fees see the very bottom of this review for several online (download or stream) video choices. IF you really want to know more about Neflix keep reading...but I warned you!
---------------------------------------------

This service fails to meet THIS consumer's needs on one weakness alone, delivery. When I signed on to this service 3 months ago, it seemed the perfect solution for a person of limited resources, and passion for movies. I long ago decided that there were few movies that would draw me to the theater. I spend a lot of time viewing, and analyzing movies for reviews posted on Epinions, (over 300) and of the ones I have seen, I own more than 150. A light bulb came on in my head (and lit up the room) when I realized that of those 150 DVDs, only about 50 were going to be worth KEEPING. DVD's rarely sell for less than $20 , not including shipping, although there are sales (and the best ones are found on the Net) . When you add $3.00 per DVD for shipping, the average price is between 20 and 30 dollars per DVD. Online stores such as Amazon.com, and Reel.com, and in former days Bigstar.com usually got them to me about the same time they would hit BLOCKBUSTERS. But with a fail rate of 60% it left me with a lot of waste, and a surfeit of movies I won't need to watch again. It doesn't take long for this to add up to a lot of dollars wasted.

---------------------------------------------

I had signed up for Netflix's free trial offer via some website's ad banner. Reason why I did this - I had some free time coming up, plus I had heard about netflix and giving it a try did not seem all that bad. That's what trials are for. If I don't like it, I won't pay for it.

So I went ahead and signed up (Nov 18th 2001). Requested 3 Movies. I got an email on 19th that they have shipped the DVDs. I received them in my mailbox on Nov 24th. 5 Days for a first class mail! I watched all the movies and dropped them in the mailbox on Nov 26th. I got conformation emails from them that they have received 2 movies on 12/1. Again 5 Days and 1 movie short! I was a bit worried. I had no proof that I have sent the movies. Finally I got a confirm on 12/4 for the third one. After 8 Days.

I was not happy with the service. I decided to cancel and when I called talked to customer service, I was told I had plenty of time left in my membership and should give it one more try. So I requested 3 more movies. I was done returning them by 12/13. Because of the time it takes in shipping, I did not like the service and decided to cancel it. I did that by calling the customer service. I thought that was the end of it.

I saw a charge of $21 on my credit card for 12/3. I was surprised since my understanding was that the free trial is for a month. I decided to call the customer service for credit. Trying to find the toll free number for customer service on their website is almost impossible. It is like a deep dark secret. Finally after searching on the web, I found some guy who had posted that number (He too had a horrible experience with Netflix). BTW it is (888-638-3549).

I called and the rep told me that the trial was for 2 weeks only! Unless I can show proof (!) that my trial was for a month, I will not be credited for the fee.

I don't remember anywhere seeing 2 Weeks for the trial when I signed up. I confess my mistake for assuming it was for a month. It is their mistake for not making it clear when I signed up.

I had to just put up with the charge. It certainly seems like the company is following some shady tactics of delaying shipments / acknowledging returns in order to control the number of DVDs you watch and also not be upfront in providing accurate free trial info. It has left me with a very bad experience.

THESE ARE SOME REVIEWS OF NETFLIX.COM. OBVIOUSLY I ONLY PUT THE BAD REVIEWS, YES THERE ARE GOOD ONES TOO, BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT. THE LAST ONE I HAVE IS FROM 2001. THIS IS WHEN THE COMPANY WAS STILL YOUNG, BUT NOT BRAND NEW. LOOK, THEY HAD OBVIOUS PROBLEMS, AND MANY OF THESE POSTS ARE FROM WITHIN THE LAST FEW MONTHS OR EVEN THE LAST YEAR. THAT JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT NO WEBSITE WILL BE PERFECT. EVEN NETFLIX, THE LEADER OF THIS MARKET HAS ITS PROBLEMS - AND REALLY HAD SOME WHEN IT FIRST STARTED. WE TOO AT GAMEZNFLIX WILL EXPERIENCE SOME OF THE SAME THINGS, YOU CAN NOT NOT EXPECT TO HAVE MAJOR PROBLEMS, ANY NEW COMPANY HAS THEM, AND SO WILL WE. JUST KEEP THE FAITH, NETFLIX USED TO BE SLOW AND TERRIBLY ORGANIZED (I WOULD KNOW-BEEN A MEMBER FOR MANY YEARS NOW), ONE DAY WE WILL BE TAKING CUSTOMERS FROM NETFLIX!!!!!

Well I called them Tuesday and asked them were my movies were and they said the first 8 movies I had were out of stock and that they weren't sending combo movies anymore(my 9th selection). They said I needed to choose more movies so maybe they would have something else in stock. I would think out of 9 movies something would be available. Anyhow, I choose 12 more movies and they shipped out 3 on Wednesday so I should have movies tonight. They said they had ordered alot more movies so maybe that is a good sign. The operator was very polite, that's good. Maybe when they get more movies the service will improve. I have, however, rented 3 of the top 4 on my list the past couple of days. Here is the top 9 in my que.

FAHRENHEIT 9/11 (DVD/WS 1.78/D 10/08/04
KILL BILL V02 (DVD) 09/25/04
WALKING TALL (2004/DVD/WS 2.35 09/25/04
ALAMO 2004 (DVD-WS 2.35/DD 5. 10/01/04
ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLE 10/01/04
TWENTYNINE PALMS (DVD/WS 2.35 10/01/04
AIR AMERICA (DVD) (SPECIAL EDI 10/01/04
ALONG FOR THE RIDE (DVD/TRAILE 10/01/04
BEST OF THE 60S 4PK (DVD/BONNI

Good luck with your stock. I am still holding 3950 shares, maybe it will turn around.

I'm buying more. I will continue to accumulate until late December if it stays in this range.

With the affiliate program going along with aggressive marketing I believe sub numbers will start to climb. A Super Bowl comercial won't hurt either.

A year or two from now I "might" begin selling my core position when we're comfortably over $2!

Good to hear. Don't worry, the service will improve. I have been in Netflix since damn near the beginning, and it used to take forever to get movies. Also, remember that if you try and rent a new release you will not necessarily get it because other people will have had it first. The way we do it with Netflix is add all the new released, then send our current three movies in just in time to get the new releases. In other words, if you are not one of the first to get them, on the Tuesday that they come out, you will have to wait even longer.

Just compare it to a normal rental store. If you go in the day a new movie is released, and that movie is sold out, you will have to wait until one is returned and it will generally not be that day.

With the online services, lets say that somebody is shipped a movie (new release) on tuesday so they will receive it wednesday or thursday, or even friday. Then if they watch it friday and put it in the mail say saturday, it will take a few days to ship back to the company. Then the company will process it and send it out to you. So you can see where these things take a lot of time. This still happens to us with Netflix, if we are not the first ones to get it, there is somewhat of a wait.

The main problem is that there are not enough distribution centers yet. This was the same with Netflix when they first opened, they only had one distribution center in California so it took forever. Now that they have them all over, it does not take nearly as long. As soon as more distribution centers are build and they continually add onto their stock of movies, the service will improve greatly.

Just hang in there, things will be 100% better in just a few months.

My response from John Flemming below:

Michael,

Thanks for you email. First, what insider trading? Mr. Sawaqed registered 5 million shares to pay for his heart surgery and in fact still has approximately 1.2 million of the 5 mil left. Other than that what insider trading are you writing about?

We, BOD and management, cannot affect the price of the stock. We are running the company and making improvements on a daily basis. These efforts will result in the company moving forward with its business plan and this will be reported in our " Q's and K" to the SEC and the public.

We will continue to issue PRs which are historical in nature and will not release PRs which are not historical in nature. That has been the company policy since day one and it will not change.

I am pleased to say that the company is moving forward at good pace and that we gain a bit of the market share on a daily basis. This is a small start up company, much like NetFlix was in 1999, and our progress maybe slow, however it is steady.

We, the company, will crawl, then stand, then walk and then and only maybe run. It is better to go slow than to rush and end up in a collision.

Warmly,

John Fleming
CEO/Chairman

I bought more. This is a long term play for me. I believe overall its a good one to accumulate & hold long term. However I have 30% of this position earmarked for trading on any good run. What will cause a run is good subscription numbers.

All the above is just my very humble oppinion. Do not buy or sell on anything I say.

Knew they had to do this with Netflix price drop. But we must stay competetive. $17.25 vs Netflix $17.95

GameZnFlix Announces New Subscriber Rates Effective November 1, 2004
PR Newswire - November 01, 2004 11:15

FRANKLIN, Ky., Nov 1, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- GameZnFlix, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: GZFX), an online provider of video games and DVD movies, today announces that it has adjusted its pricing structure to maintain its competitive advantage over other online DVD rental companies. With the recent news of NetFlix and other online rental companies lowering their monthly subscription prices, GameZnFlix still remains the leader in best overall value offering video games and DVD movies.

"The company's new pricing structure offers our members plans starting at $17.25 per month for three titles at a time, $21.95 per month for 4 titles at a time, 5 titles at $25.95 or 6 titles at $32.95 per month," stated John Fleming, CEO/Chairman.

Mr. Fleming continued, "In addition we offer a prepaid $222.00 annual subscription program which gives our subscribers 8 titles at a time and a 14 month membership which is equivalent to $15.85 per month."

if we have 20,000 customers now, X 1.3= 26000, x 1.3=33800,
X 1.3=43940, X 1.3=57122x 1.3=74258, X1.3=96536...X15$ / mo=$1,448,042/mo X 12= $17,376,512 = Revenue. =17.376mil$/600mil= .028/share (average 20%-40% customer growth)

Now I we execute this puppy correctly we can get 20-40% of where nflx is. The J curve. nflx has 2mil customers. We can have near 40% of 2 mil= 600,000 customers X 15$/ mo=
%9,000,000/mo X 12 = $108,000,000revenue/yr.

Walmart and bbi won't do as well as us and nflx may not be around for ever, who knows. This COULD happen. IMO.

108mil$/600shares=$.18/share revenue. Maybe a share buy back. AMEX.
How much of that is profit???? If we can get a dime or more?

With the second senerio and that rate of revenue growth, GZFX will fly like nflx did.

What will happen the following 12 months. 3$ somewhere in here is not too much to expect.

Jim

We heard about this a couple weeks ago. That why todays PR came out lowering our prices from 18.50 to 17.25. Of course it hurts, but hopefully just a little. We do offer a better deal with the Games and the ability to purchase movies we like. Netflix still doesn't offer either.

GZFX appears to have bottomed out! Now might be the best time to get in.

Just my very humble opinion!

I agree Ric, but I have yet to see any Gameznflix commercials and I see a netflix one everyday. I am not trying to smear this stock at all, I do own shares, have since .17, OUCH! When might we see it in that range again? or will we?

I have seen them but they are very very rare and haven't seen one in over a month. You have to remember its very expensive to advertise on a national level. Right now with little income the best way to advertise without raising rates or issueing more shares is to do the affliate program. Thats how Netflixs started. I think they may have put too many eggs in one basket with the Superbowl ad but that will be a huge market when it does happen. I expect we will see that type of return when the Superbowl Comes around. But who knows.
