well, i just sent an e-mail to msnbc.com alerting them to the gay network that's going to broadcast soon. of course, TTN's website isn't very up-to-date, but hopefully that won't deter them from digging and doing a story...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PALM SPRINGS -- A local media company is financing a documentary on the same-sex marriages in San Francisco as part of its efforts to launch a 24-hour gay and lesbian cable television channel.
Triangle Multi-Media Limited Inc. on Wednesday announced a deal with Red Soapbox Visual Media to co-produce a film chronicling the historic unions. More than 3,300 gay and lesbian couples have tied the knot since Feb. 12, when San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom authorized the city to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
"We’re doing this piece on the history of marriage, how it came about and what’s going on in (San Francisco)," said Steven Grunberg, president of programming for Triangle.
Rene Schenk, the company’s chief financial officer, said Triangle paid a film crew $5,000 to shoot the footage and will negotiate further once shooting is complete. Written and produced by Roland J. Torres in San Francisco, the film will be the first of many projects to be developed by Red Soapbox and shown on the Triangle Television Network, a subsidiary of the multimedia company.
Triangle Multi-Media President Frank Olsen said he hopes to have a 24-hour transmission of sample programming available by May 1 and distributed by satellite and to theaters and hotel conference rooms. The documentary would kick off programming.
The Palm Springs-based company plans to launch the network locally and eventually take it nationwide. No start date has been set.
"If you just look at the popularity of ‘Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,’ and ‘Boy Meets Boy,’ you can see this kind of programming is very, very desirable," said Fred Bilodeau, a Cathedral City resident and vice chairman of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Caucus of the California Democratic Party.
Schenk said Triangle’s programming would focus on entertainment not politics.
"We like to think of ourselves as the family-friendly gay channel," he said. "We will not show anything even remotely pornographic."
Triangle has an agreement with Time Warner Cable to present its programming options to any of Time Warner’s markets, which serve more than 11 million viewers nationwide.
Keith Cocozza, director of corporate communications for Time Warner Cable, said the agreement has been in place since last year, but it’s up to each market division to decide whether to air the channel.
Triangle Multi-Media shares trade on the Pink Sheets, an obscure stock exchange for sometimes troubled or emerging companies where huge money managers oftentimes trade on fractions of a penny -- as is the case with Triangle Multi-Media. The company’s stock closed Thursday at $0.0015.

I certainly hope so. I have been a big loser recently ( in terms of stocks, not a personal issue!) and I just too kmy car to the mechanic, and I think it will be a costly visit. Maybe I can end the week on a high note!
