For Example:

You buy 100 shares of XYZ @.5

it goes up to $1, you sell 50 shares to make your orginal investment back. You now have 50 "free" shares.

It is also good to consider other things into your sell.

Taxes & Commission ( I dont trade much money, commission is an issue w/ me.)

Paul,

If commissions are an issue I suggest you get into freetrade. First 20 trades free. Next 20-30 trades $3 then $2 then $1. It is easy to qualify also. You don't need two years of trading experience to qualify like they say you do. Just be generous with your answers. They do not check them. It will save you hundreds of dollars in a year and probably will end up making you money because you will be more apt to make trades that you decided not to based on commission fees. I had Ameritrade and now I have Freetrade and it was the best decision I have made so far this year. Mac
