Finished strong today @ .11 after BMONesbitt picked up 100,000 shares at one pop. Market depth looks strong and the chart looks extremely bullish with the volumes the past two weeks. I believe financing news is all this one needs to triple overnight, worth the gamble here. IMHO

you and i agree on EDV, but - this one is a dog, imho. they've had plenty of financing in the past and just blown it on digging a measly 8 holes. management is incompetent and they have less cash than my 12-year old from his lawnmowing account. a whole lot of fat management hands in the pie, with a whole lot of diddlysquat to show for it, endless "reviewing of the data", pfft. their 2004 was a truly pitiful display of botched opportunity and gross mismanagement, as i tried to chronicle in the last godforsaken BTP thread.

other than all those caveats, i love BTP.

Just looking at the bid/ask marketdepth for BTP and there appears to be huge interest on the Bid side. Over a million shares bid from .09 to .10 and only 300,000 on the ask up to .14 . Seems like something must be up. Short interest is also zero. May be some news of financing coming or perhaps they are working on a merger/buyout. JMHO

BC Mouser , you are right. Timing is everything, and it is impossible to predict when, but we are really close.
The guy who did the geophysics and interpretation in 2000 was Terry Crebs of Lakewood Colorado.
He is the best in the business and did work for Robert Friedland on the Voisey's Bay discovery.
BTP has known what they have for 4 years now, the CEO changes and Idaho stuff was all just delays.
They certainly frustrated me, but I never thought of selling.

14,000,000 shares traded in the past 4-5 weeks, and about 40% was trades of 50,000 shares or more.
Lots of 100,000 blocks changing hands. Every house on the street buying.
BC Mouser you know as well as I do, the best plays are those that are accumulated at really low prices.

Was getting set to go and the PI dropped a couple hundred thousand in there @ .11 kindof slowed things down, but good volume again today over 400,000. Sooner or later the selling will dry up and then watch out.

Bharti resigned as CEO & President of CML today.
He will resign from BTP soon. I think they will save any good news for the new CEO to announce.

typical BS news release from BTP today: yet more "compilation and synthesis", yet more new people to feed at the trough, yet more issuing shares to cover debts.

how are they going to pay all these people getting fat off BTP, let alone pay to drill, given they have about eleven bucks in the bank? yup, you guessed it - i'm waiting on the dilution news.

can anyone name me one productive thing BTP did in the last year, even a little thing?

You may be right Blue , but explain to me the huge volume the last few months. Large blocks going through -the biggest consolidation this one has ever seen. There is absolutely no short interest -insider or otherwise. Somebody knows something and they have leaked it out on Bay Street. JMHO

Well there is the financing we were wondering about. 10 million shares @ a penny with warrants @ .12 . Some of Stans friends are going to make some cash. Add that to the VVI deal and you have 2 million to burn at the Stillwater Complex. Next comes the initial drilling results and then the pump begins. This will double within a month. JMHO

.07, soon to be .05.

i see they scheduled a bunch of conference calls for investors, those must be amusing...

"well, we're evaluating, clarifying, researching, compiling, recompiling, reclarifying, resyntheclarificompiling things, that's it. have we done any digging? um, no, but one of us thought about pulling a shovel out once. a snow shovel counts, right?"

the only thing you can bet on as sure things with BTP are -

* they're "studying the data" (snicker)

* there's another dilutionary financing around the corner

* they're broke

* they're not going to be doing much digging

* management is making sure they're paid, while shareholders get the shaft

i'm sorry, but - what a load of sh!t this company is, my worst "investment" ever

i'm still waiting btw for anyone to name me *one* positive thing that this company has done in the last 2 years. even one baby step. seriously, i'm open-minded, willing to listen. i've detailed at length in this forum throughout the last year their bonehead moves, but - still waiting to hear one positive thing they've done.

Look, there is a plan here. I am hearing another group may come in and take over. (But that was the plan all along.)

Bharti is saying he is having trouble raising the $1 million. That is laughable. He got 17 million shares to trade in February at 12 cents, mostly big blocks of 50000-100,000 shares, but he can't sell 10 million at 10 cents with a warrant attached.

People have been saying another Asian based promotional group will take over BTP.

Who is Asian based?
Robert Friedland.
The guy who did the geophysics for BTP in 2000 was Robert's favorite geophysicist out of Lakewood, Colorado, Terry Crebs.
Terry does all of the geophysical work for Friedland, and is credited with discovering the now famous Voisey's Bay deposit in Labrador in 1994. ($4 to $160 in 8 months with a $4 billion buyout from Inco, and made Friedland a household name, and a billionaire.)

Also, I saw Friedland in Edmonton in April of 2001 in a packed ballroom. The BTP guy had just finished speaking, (Wilfried Struck, who is in Red Lodge Montana right now) and Friedland went on stage and had a few good words to say about BTP.
There may be a motion put in front of shareholders at the June 9 annual meeting.

Let's hope. Bharti was just the "caretaker" of BTP until the real guy comes in.
BTP could be trading well above 50 cents if they wanted.
SWC has made a bullish "W" formation on a 3 year chart, and BTP has as well, but only detectable on a log chart.

Been a major disappoint for myself. Not just the stock but the price of palladium and metals in general. Not many winners in the sector right now. I have a few that have done well latest being GPXM in at .105 last month. FST did well for me in@ .32 last fall and LMA I was in @ .80 out at 1.15. But the remainder have been poor -Holding AMC , BTP and EDV all down quite substantially. Will probably look closer at the likes of DAY.un at recent prices it is paying 15.6 div annually paid in monthly distr.

BTP 2000 Annual Report
"Due to the size of the project, we initiated an airborne geophysical program over the entire Stillwater Complex. This effort was led by Mr. Terry Crebs as a consultant to the company.
HE IS CREDITED WITH FINDING THE VOISEY'S BAY NICKEL/COPPER DEPOSIT FOR DIAMOND FIELDS. The 2000+ kilometer airborne program produced better target identification than was expected and has proven to be an accurate tool for drill site exploration and planning."
I assume you guys know who was behind Diamond Fields. Robert Friedland

Beartooth Annual Meeting JUNE 9

2005-05-20 06:39 ET - In the News

The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, May 20, edition that Ivanhoe Mines plans to raise $126-million through the issue of 15.75 million shares at $8, the mining exploration company said Thursday. A Reuters dispatch to The Globe reports that a syndicate of Canadian underwriters led by BMO Nesbitt Burns has agreed to buy the shares and sell them to the public, Ivanhoe said in a brief statement. The fundraising is expected to close around JUNE 9. Ivanhoe chairman Robert Friedland told analysts and shareholders on a conference call on Feb. 9 that the company has enough money for its various activities this year and did not foresee any equity issues. Ivanhoe did not say Thursday what the new money would be used for. The company is advancing a large copper and gold project in Mongolia. Ivanhoe stock retreated 42 cents to finish Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange at $8.37. The stock has a 52-week trading range of $11.27 to $4.85. The stock is down 30 cents from when The Globe reported on May 2 that Ivanhoe was a favourite pick of Sentry Select Capital fund manager Kevin MacLean.

BTP has strong Friedland connectons.

Well I got a bunch of BTP in my RRSP and its going to sit there until palladium comes back around. Really didnt expect this metal not to participate in the metals run that has happened. And I got fooled by the large accumulation that happpened a few months ago. Oh well lesson learned- go with what's hot instead of what's not.

it's august: isn't it time for the ever-growing list of BTP trough-feeders to put down the donuts, go out and dig their one 3-foot hole for the year, and then pat each other on the backs for another good year's worth of work? oops, i forgot the reclarisynthesizing they are always so busy with.

i dug out and put in two 25x10 planting beds in my backyard this summer, maybe they could come and study my technique. i got five bucks that says that's more digging than BTP will do all of this year. however, they're of course getting wads of cash off their "work", all i got was -dirty hands, something quite unfamiliar to BTP.

Nice volume the past two days and perhaps we will see some very rare drilling results from BTP. One can always hope anyways.

I am told that drilling has begun at on the Eastern end on the Complex to look for J-M Reef extensions.
A news release should happen next week.

Well that would be good news indeed. Now what we need is for palladium to get rolling as well.

Wow nice moves from BTP last few days. Big volume today and finished at .13 despite Loewen dumping 750,000 shares.
