Another lil tidbit that you might have already heard about but I'll throw out there too is the possible merge between SIRI and XM. Check it out. It may take a couple months to happen but I am definitely watching for it.

Anyone have any swing trades for this week?

I am looking at:

LCSS: buy at $4.02, target $5.00, stop at $3.94. I think this stock will resume the channel it followed from mid 2004 to early 2006.

ANO: sell short at $5.40, target $3.56, stop at $5.65. It looks very topheavy to me and I think it will come back to kiss to top of the old channel.

NWY: Buy at 6.02, target $9.20, stop at $5.66.

SMTC: Buy at $16.40, target $20, stop at $16.10.

Any others you like?

Mike

Mike are you waiting to get in to NOVA?

take a look at SVA. it's about the same price and is on it's way up (long term). make sure you pull a several year chart on it before you buy, it has some seasonal shorting that makes it easy to play the long swings...

my pleasure. i don't offer picks anymore, but what i do have is a large group of stocks that behave somewhat predictably and just move chit around depending on the season...

Just sold short SAPE at $8.29, stop at 8.65 for a swing trade. This one's a little risky because the volume is up with the price, but it's hitting resistance from early 2006 and I'm betting that's it.

Hi Chuck,

Yes, those were some big gaps. However, there wasn't much that I could do with them. My niche is swing trading stocks between 3 and 30 dollars. I am in the rental property business and I usually work about 3 hours in the middle of the day, so I am not really able to day trade.

I did day trade for a couple of years, but I just wasn't happy being in the house that much. I don't even have Level II quotes anymore and I never look at anything shorter than a 1 day chart. Like you, I do try to trade stocks that are in a tight box, where they're ready to move right now, but I'm usually looking for a price move of a few dollars over several days or even a couple of weeks instead of a few dimes in a day.

Talk to you later,

Mike

EXAS 3.17 been in prolonged down turn but looks like it may be ready for a bounce. Also had After market news of patent being upheld by European authority.

GMST 4.75 being acquire with a buyout of $6.35 both companies went down on the news but GMST seems to be bouncing back. Been watching it the past couple days and have seen some huge buys 150K to 250K lots being bought.

Since I've been dealing primarily with pennies, there are many features out there that are new to me. Here's one of them.

Not a question. Just a site that seems to have quite a bit of info. I'm just being like a kid with a new toy.

WEL hod 1.57 .. this is a major resistance level, if breaks & holds (ie, a strong move on solid volume, up to at least 1.65) this could be a runner.
