depends on the movement of the DOW..its jut playint around 260 -300 level right now..once it chooses a direction then LVS will go that way too..but yew that a .50 move we missed..nextime..as for HIG..its just basing at the 17.90 level for now..could be a play for a buck too

SoAngel, I have it set with fast stoctasics,macd 4,8 , william chart % at 14 , EMA is 8 , momentum is 24, with bolinger bands and SMA at 13. I think that with the fast stocktasics works the best for daily sqeeze plays..

I am going to look for another bottom on HIG at the EOD shakeout and see , I trust holding that one overnight ,,but Also need to see what the DOW is going to close at as well.Seems like HIG has always came back to its previous day high or broke it for a few minutes the last few days..So I am going to see if it dips below opening at EOD..

I seem to have a bad habit of trading the same few stocks until they stop running and loose a little before looking for new ones , I need to always keep looking for new plays because volume always drops off after a few weeks of flipping for me..

Looks like another small squeeze coming up on HIG again. I still have 2 day trades left this week ,might just see wht happens here..HHHmmmmmm Gonna try 100* 17.35 on this one....

boo tell u honestly i dont understand this charting business - i picked up the down cycle when it was about 12% down yesterday and today it shot back up due to market being down so jumped on the sell button at 83.25.....wish i had more $ in it but someone wiser than me on this board had suggested playing % game so i stuck with it and only played % of my available funds - cant do all in all out for much long so it has worked so far.... i hope to learn more abt MACD and other charting techniques fm the like of gary, morph and you if you wouldnt mind sharing the knowledge....

Hey Raj, go to the forum research page and someone ( I forgot WHo)posted a bunch of you tube vieo links on there and it really will help you in chart reading , It is explained in the video very clearly and there are videos for all types of trading and charts..

rajthebam- That is quite a bit of information to just start typing up, you should definitely look into buying some books. If you have Scottrade, you will use and love SmartText, and then you can plot as many things as you like and it will tell you what it all means. That is the fastest way for you to go about using those factors, but I suggest getting some books as well.
Of course, the question wasn't directed at me, either, so I apologize!

I'm still learning myself. Peaser and Machiavelli are pretty good chartest imo. What really helps is if you have a live platform that you can watch a few indicators at the same time - in conjunction with live level IIs. I am still leaving way too much on the table, and I can tend to be a bit negative when it comes to certain resistance/support marks, my rules caution me, if it breaks out after I sell at like the 200 MA mark on the way up great for the other guy. Certainly a lot to learn.

You will be looking for bolinger band squeezes, macd and sma averages, those videos I posted about will explain it a lot better than I can , I am just now learning the charts myself , but those videos really helped me..They alsoo have them on reading the eps and background of a company but generally I look for volume plays..

I have a buy in at 17.35 but it hit a double bottom at 17.54 and I wasnt watching , But this thing really shook out yesterday at about 3 oclock instede of 3:15 to 3:30 like it had been doing....So I am waiting for tht one , hope it drops back so I can get some today...

F and GM where up most of the morning , GM was up .40 at one point today and F was only up .13.. \ I still have 200 sh at 2.47 ave holding for it to go up..Might not be too long and I might grab a few more to ave down if it goes under 2 again
