Anadigics Swings To 2Q Profit On 37% Rise In Sales >ANAD Tuesday 07/24/2007 4:06 PM ET - Dow Jones News DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Anadigics Inc. (ANAD) swung to a second-quarter profit of $1.88 million, or 3 cents a share, from a year-earlier loss of $2.79 million, or 6 cents a share. The Warren, N.J., supplier of wireless-communication services said sales rose 37% to $53.9 million from $39.3 million a year ago. Excluding items, earnings were $5.7 million, or 10 cents a share. Anadigics had expected second-quarter earnings of 1 cents to 2 cents a share, and earnings excluding items of 9 cents to 10 cents a share. On average, analysts polled by Thomson Financial expected earnings of 9 cents a share and revenue of $52.6 million. Looking ahead, Anadigics expects third-quarter earnings of 6 cents a share, and excluding items, earnings of 12 cents a share.
