Drinks Americas Reports 330% Revenue Growth in the Second Quarter Fiscal 2007 Friday December 22, 7:01 am ET
Ships $2 Million of Trump Super Premium Vodka Orders in October and Provides Sales Guidance for 12-Month Period
WILTON, CT--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 22, 2006 -- Drinks Americas Holdings, Ltd. (OTC BB:DKAM.OB - News), a developer and marketer of premium beverages associated with renowned icons, reported results for the second quarter ended October 31, 2006. The period includes the first one month sales on the eastern seaboard of Trump Super Premium Vodka. It is the company's expectation that the brand will be available nationally by the beginning of 2007.
ADVERTISEMENT On a quarterly basis revenue for the second quarter fiscal 2007 was $2.2 million compared to $0.5 million for the second quarter of the prior year, an increase of 330%. Revenue increased in the first half of the year 210% from $0.8 million to $2.6 million. The increase in sales was principally the incremental revenue gained as a result of the Trump Super Premium Vodka, which was launched in early October.
Patrick Kenny, President & Chief Executive Officer of Drinks Americas Holdings, stated, "Sales and sell through of Trump Super Premium Vodka continue to exceed our expectations. Based on feedback from our distributors, our goal is to ship roughly 150,000 cases of Trump Super Premium Vodka over the first 12-months through the holiday October/November period of calendar 2007.

This will be a great stock over the next few months. If you are expecting more 20-50% single day gains, sell and look for the next one, this one won't have more days like that until news or appearance on the Apprentice.

You should just start buying at the ask. You saw how thin this was when shakerz got it to $2.75 without a ton of volume. You could do the same

These low volume plays scare me some... even when I'm plannning on staying in a matter of weeks or months instead of DAYS or HOURS, I still like to have some volume... it just gives some wiggle-room for trading, that's all.

Had the in-laws try the vodka this weekend. First, I was surprised thta the bottle has a cork in it, not a twist off cap like I was expecting. My mother in law smelled it first and said it was very smooth. She said she liked it, but that it had an entirely different taste than grey goose, not better or worse, just different.
Father-in-law had it with tonic, and said it was very good.
Seems like neither of them would switch to it, but definietly wouldn't turn it down if it was offered.
Not as glowing of a report as I was hoping for, but they're hard to please, so I'm not disappointed.
Hopefully Trump will promote this like crazy in the near future and get it up to where we think it can go.
Still holding for the long term, and have a buy in for more at 1.70.

A nice run up this morning. I wonder if peopel that were not trading yesterday came back this morning to see DKAM trading lower than they think it should, and are buying it back up. Up 12% to 1.90 at this point.
Jo, can you sell now so it will go up faster? I mean, 12% is a nice gain, right?

Yeah, I missed that buying opp... pissed. Will see what happens the rest of the week... but plan to be in even BIGGER than I am now before the New Year.

I thought you were going to buy at 1.70? Chickened out?
I must admit that I had a buy in for 3000 shares at 1.70 yesterday but when I saw the quick drop I cancelled it. Apparently 1500 shares had already bought before I cancelled it. Now I'm not too upet about that
But again, long term is my area of focus.
