Critical Path, Inc. (OTC:CPTH), a leading provider of messaging software and services, today announced that Indonesia's new 3G operator, PT Hutchison CP Telecommunications ('Hutchison Telecom Indonesia'), is teaming up with Critical Path to deliver new mobile email and content services for consumers with Memova(R) Mobile. Hutchison Telecom Indonesia is a joint venture between Hong Kong-based Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited ('Hutchison Telecom') and the CP Group of Indonesia.

In an effort to generate data revenues, Hutchison Telecom Indonesia is looking to drive consumer adoption of mobile email, MMS (Multimedia Messaging Services) and other mobile data services as part of its initial service offering. Hutchison Telecom Indonesia has selected Critical Path's Memova Mobile for its ability to provide new mobile email and multimedia content services that are highly personalized, affordable and easy to use.

"We believe Memova Mobile can enable us to quickly deliver to market the type of new services and features consumers are asking for," said Suresh Reddy, Chief Marketing Officer, Hutchison Telecom Indonesia. "With its ease of use, simple set up and innovative consumer control capabilities, we expect that Memova Mobile will drive rapid adoption of consumer mobile email and content. We look forward to working with Critical Path to roll out these new services for our subscribers."

With Memova Mobile, email from any standards-based email account (Yahoo!, Gmail, etc.), as well as popular consumer content, such as news, ****s, sports, music, photos and video, can be easily mobilized and pushed to mass-market mobile phones. The solution enables operators to get to market quickly with new services targeted at the large installed base of consumers who already have MMS-capable mobile phones.

In addition, Memova Mobile provides a simple, yet highly personalized, consumer experience. For example, consumers can easily discover and activate new services with simple text commands on the phone or through the operator's Web site -- there is no software to download or install. Consumers can also choose which email messages, news, ****s and other content they want to receive. Content feeds can be personalized according to the consumer's interests, and users can easily allow or block email senders.

"We're excited that Hutchison Telecom Indonesia has selected Memova Mobile to roll out new mobile email and content services for consumers," said Donald Dew, Chief Technology Officer, Critical Path. "Our market research shows that consumers want mobile data services to be easy to use, affordable and personalized, and Memova Mobile was developed with these needs in mind. We look forward to working with an innovative operator like Hutchison Telecom Indonesia to provide new services with these features."

Critical Path's Memova Messaging and Memova Anti-Abuse Selected by Largest ISP in Vietnam
Monday October 16, 7:00 am ET
Memova Solutions Chosen to Provide Reliable and Secure Messaging Services to Vietnam Datacommunication Company Customers

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Critical Path, Inc. (OTC:CPTH - News), a leading provider of messaging software and services, today announced the implementation of a new consumer messaging and security platform for Vietnam Datacommunication Company (VDC), the largest ISP in Vietnam. Through a competitive bid, VDC selected Critical Path's Memova® Messaging and Memova® Anti-Abuse solutions to power its next-generation messaging infrastructure and to meet increasing demand for consumer email services in the Vietnamese market. CASCADE Ltd., a leading systems integrator and wholly-owned subsidiary of PCCW Ltd., and DTS Communication Technologies Corporation will implement the Critical Path solutions for VDC.

Along with India and China, the Vietnamese market is one of the major growth centers in Asia. In fact, between 2003 and 2005, the number of Internet users in Vietnam increased by 67 percent(a) and experts expect this growth to continue. To meet this anticipated demand, VDC needed a highly scalable messaging platform and chose Critical Path's Memova Messaging solution, which is used by customers worldwide to support millions of users. VDC will also deploy the Memova Anti-Abuse solution -- a plug-and-play appliance that protects subscribers from unwanted and unsafe messages.

"Selecting this turnkey solution helps us to build a scalable email platform which greatly enhances the value-added services we can offer our customers," said Vu Hoang Lien, CEO of VDC. "We are well-positioned to deploy our first-phase services quickly and cost-effectively, and to grow our email services rapidly."

With the Memova platform, VDC customers have access to a rich email experience free from spam, viruses and other malicious content. Offering support for POP, IMAP, WAP and Web-based email, Memova Messaging will help VDC build customer loyalty and provide the foundation for value-added services that will take messaging beyond email and create a growing profit center in the future.

"Memova is the optimal platform for VDC to support its growing customer base. Its proven reliability and scalability, along with the ability to add a variety of value-added services, ensures VDC can offer high-quality service enhancements without having to upgrade its infrastructure down the road," said Ted Hsiung, Head of Business Development, CASCADE. "We look forward to working with Critical Path to bring Memova software and CASCADE services to VDC, as well as other customers."

In the future, VDC can easily deploy value-added services on top of email with Memova Messaging, such as: Universal Contacts, a network address book that enables users to access synchronized contacts through any application or device; Digital Life, a service that allows subscribers to create and exchange multimedia content with an online community; and Media Mail, a service that offers subscribers the ability to send massive files -- even files over one Gigabyte in size -- to any recipient, regardless of their email service provider.

"The Vietnamese market is a major Asian growth center and Memova Messaging will provide VDC with the capabilities it needs to thrive as its subscriber base continues to evolve," said Donald Dew, CTO, Critical Path.

VDC expects to complete its migration to the Memova platform by the end of 2006.

Agreed. I sold most of SLJB in the high teens, and the rest at .12. Sold WWEN in the .30, and rebought some at ,052. CPTH baffles me that it could be this low. They have offices in 15 different countries. Read the PR's about the contracts. Look at there cash. Amazing.

fundamentally it is really undervalued... but I'm pretty sure its trading at a reasonable range right now. Here is why;

-The company explicitly says on their site, they will be able to break even insofar as they can grow revenues.
from their site: " We believe that break-even results will come from our ability to grow revenues, while maintaining a balanced cost structure."
If we look at their revenue growth -- its negative for the last 3 fiscal years.
from their site:
"5-Year Annual Revenue Growth Rate (13.20%)"
(in fairness to the company, margins have improved a lot)

-The capital structure is eating this company alive. Take a look at their quarterly income statement, they lose on average about 2-3million per quarter. Now take a look at how much preferred stock eats up quarterly..... 3.5mill after net income. Ouch! I don't like being a common shareholder in this setup, probably wont ever see a dime, at least not for the next few years even if things go fantastic. (thats about 5million more in profit quarterly just to break even for common shareholders)

the companys reply to the preferred share situation:
"We have not announced any plans that would change our capital structure."

I like the stock if you think someone will try to take it over (if preferred stock can be paid off cheap, something you would need to research yourself)... because under this capital structure im afraid common shares arent worth crap. Hence the reason they trade way under cash per share value. IF a takeover happens, then yea, probably could see a .30-.40 cents takeover. 200% return or so from these levels.

Too much risk for such a limited reward with this much uncertainty in my opinion. Sorry I won't touch this.

Again, just my humble opinion

I think your wrong. The growth from the recent contracts will be evident in the next quarter or so. 5 million in profit quarterly will be nothing. They were almost break even in EBITDA. I think you would be crazy not to buy this. Do your own DD, but your comments are not taking into account any of the recent HUGE contracts.

This was also a NASDAQ listed stock one year ago this month. They were de listed from lack of revenue. Just look at what has transpired in the last year alone, SPAIN,HONG KONG, INDONESIA, INDIA, VIETNAM. They will be back on NASDAQ in no time at this growth rate.

And he's been selling since 2004. There is no question that there are preferred out there, but the contracts that they have acquired are simply amazing. When the detailed numbers come out this will be much higher.

That was totally uncalled for. You asked for peoples opinions and when you get one that you don't agree with you try to attack my credibility. All I did was share my view as to why this company is trading where it is.

You can disagree with my opinion and thats fine. Argue my arguments with arguments, not with attacks on me... if you cant do that then you are just blindly pumping this stock and don't want true DD done.
