Cutting operational expenses by 25% is huge. If it's true that's very good news for the Ecarfly as a company.

Hope you're right, but I'd put a side bet on a close around .67 and then .47 by Friday...worse if they postpone the split again.
I really don't get what makes this penny stock move one way or another. From every PR I've seen this thing should be going up. I haven't yet seen someone bash it. Maybe the fact that it's a .pk is enough to make it untrustworthy.
Anyone with knowledge as to what drives a .pk one way or another, please weigh in.

still curious on how this will do after the split . . . waiting til then because people are afraid rite now with the big sell off and 2we will get more investors when it hits a cheaper price IMO and still looking for a PR updating us on how many cars their selling
how do stocks usually react to a forward split?? most go up some down??

Forward splits are almost always seen as positive, and reverse splits negative. After the split shares will be that much cheaper so in effect you will have people selling and buying a lot before and after the split. This could drive the price up or down either way, but hopefully up. But if it does go up, it won't necessarily mean that it will STAY up, so I for one will be trying to get out soon after the split unless I see some kind of stable turnaround. I agree that the PR should've stabilized the price a bit. But this stock is still seen as a penny stock. If it makes the transition, you see they're still just a small web site, that $6 price target may come true someday. Still very much a small business learning to fly. It's exciting to see things like this happen, but OTH us investors need something to go by when we lose like this! Or sell, sell, sell!

I need some advice here. I have been flipping this stock lately. However yesterday I could not get out of my position. I am not familiar with splits. What is the effect going to be positive or neg? Short and Long term? Any help is appreciated.

I wouldn't call it advice, but here's what I'm doing. Holding at least until they post their revenues. If it really does benifit auto dealers as much as they claim, then there's no reason, (mismanagement aside) that it shouldn't succeed. I've never invested in stock before and therefor never seen a split or IPO get off the ground. Remember, this is still a very new stock. So my money is in, it's staying there for while and I'm hoping for the best. In case anyone cares and I'm sure some will get a kick out of this, but lets just call it my lesson learned in the stock market. I initially got in at 2.98, sold around $2. Bought back in at 1.15, then it dropped and hasn't yet recovered from that. I did buy more at .81 though. So that's my position. Since I don't have the time or resources available to flip this thing on an hourly/daily basis I'm pretty much just hoping this is a good company and all will work out. Wish me luck!

Covering is a term for those who short the stock and then must buy it. They "cover"

Thanks

The split is supposed to occur this Thursday, Sept. 21, for those who have purchased and owned shares of the stock by 5:00p Sept. 18. I don't know exactly when on Thursday, but if it does indeed occur like the news stated we should see some action by Friday. Here's to hoping for a quick bounce

If they keep reducing the price because of the split, there is not going to be anything left to split. Just a thought.

Here's what I think I've learned. You didn't have to buy by Monday to get the split shares, because if you buy by tommorrow you're buying the rights to those split shares from whomever sold them. Thursday your account should reflect the new PPS and new shares.
Sooo, say that $6 target is an unachievable number for this stock. That means that .60 should be just as unachievable. ECFL topped out around 3.40 right? So maybe .34 is where it will settle post split. I don't know if this logic works, but it's all I have to offer.

Tex, what do you mean by posted? You can look ECFL up on OTCBB.com and get a quote. They also have their PR posted there.
Speaking of which:
eCarfly Updates Shareholders on Acquisition of eAutoDrop Inc. and Newly Announced Acquisition of Parent Company, CompleteAuto Inc.
eCarfly, Inc. (Pink Sheets: ECFL) today announced that the acquisition of eAutoDrop Inc. (www.eautodrop.com) is nearly finalized and is pleased to announce the acquisition for the parent company, CompleteAuto Inc. (www.completeauto.com). "The addition of CompleteAuto gives eCarfly the ability to offer a full array of automotive products and services targeted at the nearly 40,000 automobile dealers across the country as well as the private individual," stated Desmond Milligan, eCarfly Inc., CEO.
"CompleteAuto currently services dealerships across the United States with our cutting-edge software and online auction services," added Jeff Roman, CompleteAuto Inc., President. "By including CompleteAuto in the acquisition it positions our company to expand our services in existing and new markets. Since September we have already added 13 dealerships to our software program."

PRs don't mean jack...for example, copying this from earlier in-thread, assuming it is from the legit PR--note my bold emphasis: "the "Record Date" (the date you must be in possession of shares prior to 5:00 p.m. EDT) will be September 18, 2006 . . . ."
As per OTCBB posting, 21st is last day to buy for divvies--on the 22nd? due bills no longer attached..."record date" mentioned in PR is meaningless.

I'm not saying PR's mean anything. Heck, most of the time ECFL post a PR, (at least over the 3 weeks) the stock has dropped. I just mentioned it because it was new.

I finally sold out at .10. I might re-enter if it drops back down. Great little stock here for a nice gain.

I got mine and sold at .10. Nice little profit. I am waiting until after everyone gets their shares before I decide to buy back in. I think it may maintain this height or even go up, but I am afraid of a dump when Ameritrade finally goes through. Thats why I am waiting.
