7/11/06 The third tropical depression of the eastern Pacific season formed yesterday in the eastern Pacific. The system strengthened to Tropical Storm Bud overnight. Bud was located more than 600 miles south of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, as of 2 a.m. PDT. Some slight intensification of the storm is likely as it churns toward the WNW or W over the next couple of days, remaining well away from land.
