If a Liberal isolationalist party comes to power in the Presidential election in Mexico, BUGS may have to find a new home.

Conservatives won the Presidential in Mexico.....

Dem Dern BUGS survive for another day by a wisker..

Posted by weatherbill on :

I thnik either way, certanly the leftist socialist would want bugs becasue they are a part of the social program BUGS sub SSWM is in on with the 11 or 22 emergency enviro stations Mexico is setting up. It's socialist in nature, so I don't see any problem with whichever way this election goes

Posted by Dustoff101 on :

I do, they would cut and slash programs and re-group, thats the lefts entire platform down there..

Nationalize is there theme! That means not honoring the conservatives deals and contracts.

Posted by wallymac on :

That is being a bit stereotypical Dustoff. I'm not in favor of either party but do know that it was about time that the PRI party got their butt kicked.

I don't feel that Obrador was Anti-American or Anti-Business. He is just attempting to do what was done in our own country many years ago by the Democrats at the time. Which is to incorporate moer people into the system which will help it grow.

Before this turns into a Democrat Vs Republican debate, let me make my position clear. We need a strong Third Party in this country that will make the 2 major parties come to the table and work out the differences. We don't need 51% telling the other 49% how to live, whether it's left or right.

Back to Mexico. I'm glad to see that they are getting the democratic process in place. No matter who wins, the people have won and hopefully the people will have more confidence in the system in the future.

BUGS will be fine because I've been to Mexico and they do have some big ones. I don't think they will become extinct and time soon. Anyway as long as BUGS makes it's run this Hurricane season, it's all good, they will have another year to sort things out.

good post wally.. high time we have more than 2 parties.

Posted by Dustoff101 on :

Wallymac, nothing better than first hand expierience, and information...I suppose you could say myself and most other folks are the victums of media hype and sensationalizm...

To be completely honest with you requires me to devuldge to you just how ignorant I am regarding Mexico...Many of us in America have a jondous eye when it comes to matters of Mexico...

No need to further expand, you should understand from the paragraph above..

Keeping this in mind, decisions can be made by folks who are used to making Knee jerk re-actions to complex Political issues..Heck most of us can't even figgure out what's going on Politicaly in our own country!

I have been an ardent supporter of BUGS in the past, and became very un-supportive of the company after buying in to high, and enduring the endless feather storm of fluff PR'S and what looked like dilution ..So do you understand my knee jerk reaction to the events unfolding in Mexico? It was an easy process to think the worst case scenerio about the future of BUGS..

Now, from a first hand perspective of a tourist, who has enjoyed surfing the Baja many years ago, I loved my time in Mexico, even tho we did have some trouble camping...But! we had a few beefs with locals in Southern California as well...LOL!

So does that help? The adventures of a teenager and the bias of the average American joe? Doesn't add up to much understanding of a complex issue does it..

I am fasinated by something, just how much do you really know about BUGS and do really think we can make some dough on this stock?

Nice post Dustoff101. I know about BUGS simply from the historically charts and knowing what happens to hurricane stocks during the summer. I have also put some money into ECCI and NLST. If they do anything close to what they did last year we will all be in the money. They all look to be easy doubles or triples. Just out of knee jerk reactions by traders when Tropical storms form and especially when Hurricanes form. I have not done complete in depth DD on them just a quick look since I'm not looking to hold these for the Long Term. Just to get in at a decent level and get out before they come back down.

In my youth I also camped out in Mexico, Rosarito Beach, a KOA there. I had a small run in with some locals but as you say I've had a few run ins with locals in various parts of the U.S.

Mexican politics is definately complex.

Good Luck to You
Wally

The third tropical depression of the eastern Pacific season formed yesterday in the eastern Pacific. The system strengthened to Tropical Storm Bud overnight. Bud was located more than 600 miles south of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, as of 2 a.m. PDT. Some slight intensification of the storm is likely as it churns toward the WNW or W over the next couple of days, remaining well away from land.

starting to move now on news get in before you miss the boat. Getting a positve ticks with this storm out there. the spread is .0147 x .015

I really hate this stock. lol Horrible 10-Q.

Enough cash to operate into September, 2006. Ouch. I dumped on the open today. Took a little loss, made it back in another stock today.

Possible dilution by NITE, he's been walking it down from .016, so be careful. .013 needs to hold if tested for anyone in, IMO. If it fails to hold upon a test there, I dare not say where I think it may go.

A large contract is needed to save this I believe, or else dilution could run rampant some more.

Mexico Federal Electricity Commission Funds Project for SSWM Subsidiary in Mexico; SSWM Subsidiary to Start Work on First Contract at Electricity Generating Plan
Sep 20, 2006 9:45:00 AM
Copyright Business Wire 2006
CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 2006--

Sub-Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc. (OTCBB:SSWM), announced that its Mexico subsidiary company, Environmental Tec International, S.A. de C.V. (ETI), signed its $1.1 million subcontract agreement with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) under a recently awarded new contract from the Federal Electricity Commission (C.F.E.). ETI will mobilize to one of the largest power generating plants in the south of Mexico, in Merida, Yucatan, at Nachi Cocom.

Bruce Beattie, CEO of SSWM, stated, "We are pleased to be able to start this important project after several delays were incurred in authorizing release of funds due to resolution of specific tasks in our scope of work. This facility was sited three years ago, by the office of Attorney General for the Protection of the Environment, for major violations of hydrocarbon contaminants and our successful completion of this project should substantially enhance ETI environmental presence in the Mexican Republic and lead to additional environmental clean-ups at other generating plants. We expect a second project for remediation at the Merida II plant to be awarded later this year which is anticipated to be twice the magnitude of work as compared to the facility at Nachi Cocom."

SSWM Contract Backlog Highest in Company History
Thursday September 21, 9:45 am ET
Company to Enter New Fiscal Year with over $3.1MM in Contracts

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 2006--Robert Brehm, CEO of U.S. Microbics, Inc. (OTCBB:BUGS - News; BCN:615212), an innovative environmental products and services company, announced that its majority owned subsidiary, Sub-Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc., (OTCBB:SSWM - News), and its Mexico subsidiary company, Environmental Tec International, S.A. de C.V. (ETI), have a $3.1MM contract backlog in Mexico, the highest in the company's history. SSWM expects to commence these projects on or before October 1, 2006, the beginning of the new fiscal year, and recognize the much of the revenue in the first two quarters of the new year.

Brehm elaborated, "We have made significant progress in Mexico this year with $3.1MM in recent new contracts from the electric utility (CFE) and the State of Puebla as well as having completed, or nearly completed $550,000 in projects for the current fiscal year. As our revenue run-rate increases in the new year and we gather momentum and additional staff I expect our backlog of proposals and signed authorizations/contracts to also increase proportionately in 2007."

Brehm further commented, "We are also continuing our business development efforts with the Governor and his staff in Veracruz for the emergency response centers, and with the Governor of Tlaxcala for his landfill project. The proposals for these projects total over $200MM in potential new business for SSWM/ETI over the next five years. Due to the magnitude of the projects and political nature of the economic benefits for the people of Veracruz, Tlaxcala and Mexico City, we are working closely with many governmental agencies, politicians, contractors and subcontractors and others, who each have their own timetable and priorities, to ensure acceptance and the success of the projects for both SSWM and the people of Mexico. While our progress may seem slow by American standards, our efforts are significant and highly regarded by the government officials who are trying hard to implement new environmental policy and projects where none existed before."
