I hope it doesn't happen. Given that GTE was given notice last week from AMEX about the possible de-listing, the three-day response time for GTE to make their argument NOT to be delisted should be expiring here soon. It they can't convince AMEX then I would suspect a notification would be put out by AMEX. If a notification is issued (one way or another) I'll post the link if I can find it.

If you haven't seen this yet, you will find it interesting.... Please pay special attention to the last paragraph which reads "If you agree, and are a stockholder, please email “investors*globetel.net ” and cc to t.huff*globetel.net. Include your real name if you expect any credibility, and state that you are a stockholder, but don't expect a reply. Be respectful in your comments, but you might use the subject, “Mr Huff, please step down as CEO”." http://www.equitygroups.com/amex/gte/messages/50905.html

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2006--GlobeTel Communications Corp. (AMEX:GTE) today announced that it has notified the American Stock Exchange (Amex) of its decision to appeal the Amex Staff Determination to delist the common shares of GlobeTel from the Amex.
GlobeTel had announced on July 19, 2006 that it had received a letter from the American Stock Exchange that there had been a Staff Determination to strike the Company's common shares from listing and registration on the Amex.
The Company's appeal will be heard by the Amex's Listing Qualifications Panel. The Company's understanding is that the panel is comprised of three individuals chosen from a group of 18 that comprise the Committee on Securities and represents members from the floor, representatives of member firms and listed companies. According to the Amex Company Guide, the hearing will be scheduled, to the extent practicable, within 45 days of GTE's appeal. GTE anticipates that its common stock will continue to trade on Amex pending a decision by the Listing Qualifications Panel.
There can be no assurance that the Company will be successful in its efforts to remain on the Amex, in which case the Company expects that its common stock would trade on the over the counter bulletin board.

The fact that GTE has recently been trading for less than $1.00 doesn't bode well for continued listing on the AMEX. This coupled with the perception of some questionable (from AMEX's viewpoint) GTE PR releases paints a bleak picture for the future of GTE on AMEX. I don't think that GTE has the ammunition needed to defuse this delisting action. Unless Huff & Co has something up their sleeve it is just a question of when it'll happen. I doubt it'll take AMEX the full 45 days alloted to schedule the appeal hearing and make their final decision.

Around 8/15 if I am not mistaken.
TY Pagan - probably the actual AMEX delisting will most likely occur soon after the release of the 2nd quarter report unless something SPECTACULAR (and verifiable) happens at GTE.

Actually, they are appealing the delisting. And the appeals process can take up to 45 days I believe. Just have sit and watch what happens and be ready to act for whichever direction she moves.
