PALMDALE, Calif., Jul 20, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- GlobeTel Communications Corp.'s (GTE, Trade) wholly owned subsidiary, Sanswire Networks LLC, has been granted a Statement of Capability (SOC) by the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) of the United States Air Force, permitting Sanswire to flight test its Sanswire 2 high altitude airship technology demonstrator. Sanswire began to seek approval for the SOC in February of this year. NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center, also located at Edwards, will provide meteorological services to the Air Force Flight Test Center in support of Sanswire's flight test effort.
The flight tests will occur at Edwards Air Force Base in California's high desert. It is planned that flight tests may extend through the fourth quarter of 2006. The Sanswire airship is scheduled to fly several test sorties at Edwards Air Force Base Range after the successful completion of tethered flights.
"We are now about to start the flight test program for the Sanswire 2 Airship, our Technology Demonstrator. These test flights will begin after the replacement carbon composite structure is received from our suppliers as described in the July 17 press release," stated Bob Jones, Sanswire's President.
Timothy Huff, CEO of GlobeTel Communications, stated, "I view this as a significant step toward our goals and I applaud Bob and his team on obtaining the approval for the SOC."
About Sanswire
Sanswire is developing a Wireless Broadband Network utilizing high-altitude airships called stratellites, which are similar to satellites but stationed in the stratosphere instead of in orbit. Stratellites will be used to provide wireless voice, video, and data services. The Stratellite is being designed and tested to operate at an altitude of between 55,000 and 65,000 feet utilizing onboard Guidance and Navigation Control (GN&C) to achieve its on-station position.
At an altitude of only 13 miles, each Stratellite will have clear line-of-site to an entire major metropolitan area and should allow subscribers to easily communicate in "both directions" using readily available wireless devices. Each Stratellite will have hybrid electric motors powered by solar cells, other state-of-the-art power generation systems and energy storage technologies.
In addition to Sanswire's Wireless Broadband Network, proposed telecommunications uses include cellular, 3G/4G mobile, MMDS, paging, fixed wireless telephony, HDTV and others. For more information, please go to http://www.sanswire.com or http://www.globetel.net.

I really hope it doesn't get delisted....I just dropped $5,000 in it today....I want to sell at $0.85. After that, sure.......they can delist it (another big opportunity). I think it will get back in the $0.80s by mid next week. It is interesting all the negative PR. And the fact that they seem to always release good PR with the bad just makes me laugh. Good luck to all and I agree with the predictions of $0.20-.30 if delisted....which I think that will take a month to 3 months to happen.

I picked up some at $.62 today. I would look for followup pr's to support a new bounce. Though slippage is definitely not out of the question. Intestinal fortitude rules the near term on this stock. GLTA!!

quote:Originally posted by Peaser: If they put out a PR mentioning that AMEX isn't going to delist them, then this will probably fly back up to the 1.30's IMO.
We'll see what happens. Who knows? It could just keep moving up from these lows as the 3 year chart suggests, if they don't get delisted that is.
When will AMEX make the final decision on de-listing? Is GTE already on the three day reclama period?

I don't think they can just get delisted out of the blue. I know with the NASDAQ....they get a warning letter and given a period of time to conform. Now GTE is not bankrupt....they're worth more than a million....I just don't see this crashing just yet. To me, it seems like they do this crap all the time.....look back on the history of this and you'll see how they release bad PR then follow it with good PR. Its like they are setting the market up so someone can get rich quick. I made $13,600 on this last year.....this year is another great opportunity. Think about this.....if they release some good PR about the delisting process....it will move back up....if the PR says they won't get delisted....then it will jump 20-30% back into the $1.00+ range. If they release PR saying DELISTED...then CRASH abd burn.....Just set your stop loss at $0.50 and ride it out. When you compare the gain against the small loss....its just makes sence.

We are traveling this month in our RV..Florida, Georgia, and north....so far have run into wi-fi hot spots and am able to connect free at the RV parks...more and more hot spots are being added for travelers... however there is alot of dead space. So now I relize the fantastic benefit of the wi-fi strat...I could stay connected, buy and sell while riding through America...I certainly wish GTE would speed it up abit..I love the freedom!

Big drop so far this morning. Probably it is the anticipation of the AMEX de-listing action happening sometime today or tomorrow.
