Plasticon Announces: No Reverse Stock Split

Based on Potential Sales and Earnings, Plasticon Expects Number of Shares Issued and Outstanding Will be in Line With Projected Growth, Therefore Eliminating the Need for Reverse Split

LEXINGTON, Ky., Jun 21, 2005 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Plasticon International Inc. (Pink Sheets:PLNI) today announced that there are no plans for a reverse stock split based on projected sales and earnings.
"A reverse stock split is absolutely off the table," said Jim Turek, President and CEO of Plasticon International, Inc. Mr. Turek added that should it be necessary to reduce the number of issued and outstanding shares, management is committed to both retiring its own personal shares and the company is committed to buying back shares as well.

"Our sales and earnings potential is the key driver for our company, and we expect an adequate number of shares as we move forward," Mr. Turek said. "The market potential for our three main product lines - rebar supports, transportation signage, and plastic lumber - is so enormous that a reverse stock split is not required. Rebar supports is a $25 billion per year industry. Transportation signage is a $20 billion industry in the U.S. alone. And plastic lumber sales, which have been rising at a rate of 40% per year, are increasingly gaining market share. We are strategically positioned to become the dominant force and to profit from our product innovations as recycled plastic continues to gain acceptance as the industry standard material for these applications. Increased government regulation, the skyrocketing price of steel, and Plasticon's cost-effective, superior products all combine to position Plasticon for continued profitability."

Plasticon International recently announced that as of the second quarter of 2005, the company is profitable. "This is really a thrilling time for us because the world is catching up to our vision. The assumption now is that companies should be environmentally friendly. We've proven that not only is it the right thing to do, it's the profitable thing to do. We look forward to continuing to provide value to our customers, the public and our shareholders."

Mr. Turek emphasized that after years of laying the foundation of the company, through research and development, product innovations, patent approvals, and applying for and receiving DOT acceptance in all 50 states, Plasticon is now reaping the fruits of its labor. "I believe that the most important trait in business is persistence. With the help of our dedicated, distinguished management team, we built a great base and now we are ready to move into the next phase, which is our aggressive sales and marketing rollout. We are just beginning to see the impact of our exclusive contract with the largest building materials distribution company in the U.S. That contract now makes us the largest supplier of rebar supports in the country. We are also ramping up our global sales and marketing efforts and we certainly expect exponential growth with our major product lines in the near future."

Whats not to like!

Green Baron High lighted!
"The added commentary from CEO Jim Turek should send PLNI to new highs since our profile last month. He understands and supports the need for a reduction in shares outstanding, and is one of the few CEOs in the world that is actually willing to retire his own personal shares for the good of the overall company and its shareholders. He also is interested in share buybacks as well, which would be a great idea since sales and earnings appear to be on the brink of an explosion."

The main point to PLNI is the key phrase "cost effective". That's the big play. Big construction companies will eat up this product.

Well run, PLNI is a rocket waiting to launch.

Its not just the cost savings and overall quality they are saving but look at the 6-7% overlayment that they are saving and MORE IMPORTANTLY the man hours on labor. This is a no brainer, the company just didnt have the money and production capabilitys and now they have both. Now they can supply ALL the bluelinx locations instead of the select few they are in now. Watch out, and if u can and believe BUY BUY BUY!!!!!!!!!!! GLTA

Plasticon Announces That Privately Financed Semco Acquisition is Near Completion
via COMTEX

June 29, 2005

10 Potential Exclusive Regional Licensees Already Lined Up to Distribute Semco's Product Line

LEXINGTON, Ky., Jun 29, 2005 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) --

Plasticon International Inc. (Pink Sheets:PLNI) today announced that the privately financed acquisition of Semco, Inc. is in its final stages and is near completion.

"This is a very important week in the history of Plasticon International," said Jim Turek, President and CEO of Plasticon International. "This acquisition will add tremendous value to Plasticon, not only in terms of our product synergies but in terms of the direct impact on our bottom line. Our accountants and lawyers are currently taking the final steps to complete the acquisition. We anticipate that the due diligence process will be completed by this Friday. Closing will take place immediately upon completion of Semco's audit, which is imminent."

According to Mr. Turek, there has been exceptionally strong interest in Semco's products among suppliers and distributors in the industry. Semco's revolutionary surfacing technology provides the only products on the market today that completely waterproof the structures they are bonding to. "Since our announcement about the letter of intent to acquire Semco, we have been inundated with phone calls and inquiries about Semco's product line," Mr. Turek said. "In fact, we already have ten potential regional licensees lined up to distribute Semco's product line. The reason for this is simple: Semco's products are both essential and unique. They have the only product on the market which truly prevents water damage. This problem has always plagued the construction industry and costs the U.S. billions of dollars annually."

Like Plasticon International, Semco, Inc. has a deep commitment to being on the cutting edge of technology in their sector. Semco's products, which represent a significant technological advance in the industry, completely waterproof the structure they are bonding to. "Semco's products are able to waterproof the structure they adhere to because of the advanced technology behind their product line. Their products chemically link and bond with the surface they are applied to, which makes them essential to construction companies and distributors. Not only are their products unique," Mr. Turek said, "they also perfectly compliment our recycled plastic rebar support products. This is product synergy at its best. A perfect example of this would be the application to bridge construction, which is a huge segment of the construction industry. A very high percentage of bridges are plagued with water damage problems, and that's why companies increasingly have turned to Plasticon's rebar support products. Now we have the opportunity to sell Semco's concrete coating products to those same customers, which adds a critical layer of waterproofing protection."

Semco's products add years to the life of the structure by eliminating the absorption of water into concrete. Until now, water damage has corroded the metal rebar support which has been used in bridge construction in the past. "The combination of Plasticon's rebar supports, which are impervious to water because they are made from recycled plastic, and Semco's surfacing products, which completely waterproof the structure they are bonded to, is unprecedented in our sector," Mr. Turek said. "These two products, offered together, are the next killer application for the construction industry."

i saw tillco to it is a whole different ball game remember plni makes it product out of recycles and is a us government ceritfied green company and nobody eles can say that in this business an other business tried to duplicate plni product and had them selves sued to pices by plni. in other words on all federal projects all contractor will be given incentives to use plni products and incouraged to do so.

I posted the fact that there was plastic rebar earlier, and was ripped to shreds. The fact is plni is a green company, and use of there products does come with perks, in the form of tax breaks, so imo, contractors would favor there rebar supports compared to a fiber glass plastic rebar.

George, fiberglass and plastic are two different aniamls. Its like comparing steel to aluminum. Two different uses and two different applications and long term effects. Does tillco have 50 state, federal approval?? with thier product in hundreds of high profile buildings??? NOPE....save your troubles and buy PLNI and put it away for a year or so then come back and check on it. GL

There is no plastic rebar. That was a missunderstanding from some time ago when there was talk of experiments in rebar. Most people here don't know much about building so it sounded feasable. Their own (plni) advertisement on their website shows what they do sell.

fyi the reason their products are important and spell a great future for this company is because they are cost effective, and they solve one of the most difficult problems in the field of construction. All steel rebar, the support structure in concrete must be tied off. That is, secured in position with some type of material.

When concrete is poured in the forms it would displace the rebar and compromise the support structure. So to hold the bar in place away from each other and the forms it must be tied off. This is a time consuming process requiring rolls of soft wire, and various types of wire formed differently for each application, say for a ten inch beam or column or a sixteen inch and all those in between.

These wire pieces eventually actually cause a deterioration of the steel where they are fastened through the, to put it simply, electrical reaction between dissimular metals. This action causes corrosion and cracking in the concrete which is distructive.

Plni's products effectively end this and that is the basic reason for their bright future.

Sorry for boring those of you who already know this stuff, but there seem to be a lot of people who think that the volume of rebar (plastic) is the key and it's just not true. The world wide need for these products is the ke, along with an intelligent business plan. Lets hope they have it.

Plasticon Announces that R&S Manufacturing Increases Order by 50%
via COMTEX

June 30, 2005

R&S, one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of Concrete Post-Tension Construction Cable in the U.S., increases order to over $750,000

LEXINGTON, Ky., Jun 30, 2005 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) --

Plasticon International Inc. (Pink Sheets:PLNI) announced today that R&S Manufacturing has increased their order for Plasticon's recycled plastic rebar supports by 50%, bringing their order this year to over $750,000. Plasticon's patented rebar supports, the most advanced in the industry, will be supplied to R&S's customers with every order of their post-tension cable products.

"The initial order for our rebar supports was placed at the beginning of this month, and now the order has already been increased by 50%," said Mr. Jim Turek, President and CEO of Plasticon International. "Those numbers speak for themselves. We are excited that our relationship with R&S manufacturing is already exceeding expectations. R&S is a dynamic, growing company and we look forward to continuing to build the relationship with them. Every order of post-tension cable will be accompanied by our rebar support products. For those who dont know this little tidbit of info::: GP(Bluelinx) AND R&S came knocking on Plasticons door, PLNI did not solicit them.
In todays business world when you have a niche product and people calling you instead of the other way around you have made your mark! Sit back and relax cause its only going up, yes it may dip before it bumps but in the long term you will Never see these prices again. IMHO of course
