Florida Awards DynTek Multi-Year IT Security Contract
PR Newswire - February 24, 2005 12:56

DynTek Selected to Provide Mandated Security Risk Assessments for Up to 117 Agencies Statewide; Contract Value Estimated at $4.5 Million

IRVINE, Calif., Feb 24, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- DynTek, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DYTK, DYTKP, DYTKW), a leading provider of professional technology services and IT security solutions, announced today that the State of Florida Technology Office has awarded the company a contract to provide comprehensive risk assessments for state agencies. The initial contract term is two years, with an additional one-year renewal option.

Through a competitive bid process involving several national security firms, DynTek was one of only two contractors selected to provide these comprehensive risk assessments to government agencies throughout Florida. Each state agency is mandated to conduct assessments from a pre-qualified contractor in order to identify security threats to data and information technology resources. In addition, the contract enables DynTek to provide these assessments to cities, municipalities and educational facilities in Florida. DynTek will support this contract from its regional office in Tallahassee, Florida.

"A contract award of this caliber and magnitude demonstrates the depth of experience and expertise we provide through our security practice," said Steve Ross, DynTek's chief executive officer. "We are pleased and excited to assist the State of Florida in its proactive approach to protect critical information and assets. In addition, we look forward to pursuing additional opportunities on a nationwide basis as other states embark on similar Homeland Security initiatives."
